Well said! As long as you have a backup plan for your work it shouldn't be a problem. As with every app we use, we are also dependent on the platform. Apple, Microsoft, and Google can (and will) make changes frequently that can cause headaches for developers and artists alike. Zenbeats makes it super easy to archive projects as stems which can be played back in any application. In every DAW I've used and project I've worked on, making stems is always part of the process. So when I decide to revisit or remix from masters a decade from now, I don't have to worry about software or hardware compatibility issues.
Regarding subscription vs one-time payments for items, providing the choice is important. Zenbeats will continue to offer both options for the foreseeable future. It should also be noted that Roland Cloud offers one-time payments for their instruments too.

I've also found another bug where drawing automation causes huge cpu spikes (Air2 iOS 13)
Also another old bug remains ,drawing automation and hitting undo , the automation remains visible (although not active)
Entering again the midi editor ,fortunately, the GUI doesn't show the (removed by undo) automation
Speaking of old bugs , Sampleverse pitches up when selecting oversampling
I bought Cloud Core subscription (2.99) on my android phone and never got ANYTHING. IVe opened a ticket and havent heard anything. idk what account it is connected to apparently, i tried to make an account with the same email as my android google play store account, no luck. nothings unlocked, etc. However when i goto the store and act like im gonna purchase the core subscription again it says Error: you have already purchased a cloud core subscription.... same thing on my ipad, logged in with different accounts, no idea which account the purchase was applied to. seriously AND now i have lost more than a week of the free month trial of ultimate cloud... seriously i never got any content and nothing is unlocked. zc1 effects locked, sampleverse effects locked, using AUv3s locked,,, frustrating. seriously.

I’ve run into a very frustrating situation. I’m trying to sequence pattern changes on DigiStix 2 from Zenbeats. The goal is to sync DigiStix patterns to Zenbeats patterns/scenes,
DigiStix 2 responds to CC20 for pattern changes… cc20 value 0 for pattern 1, cc20 value 1 for pattern 2 and son on.
There seems to be no way to trigger a Cc message from Zenbeats which I find very surprising. You can trigger pitch bend, modulation… but you can’t specify a CC. Why is that?. I think it’s a big shortcoming.
So I tried to find a workaround… Mozaic as a midi fx with a script that converts notes to Cc values. It works in AUM but not in Zenbeats. Seems like this note to midi conversion is not working on the midi fx slots.
To double check I tried with Rozeta LFO. Sending values to midi Cc 20. Doesn’t work.
Is CC stuff not working at all in Zenbeats?.
This pattern change use is just one of many possible needs for CC changes, which imo should be a standard to implement.

DigiStix 1 had a way of changing patterns with notes, but it seems like it’s not the case anymore.
These things are very frustrating. To me Zenbeats is the best iOS daw. It’s got very advanced features that make it the fastest and more enjoyable for me:
Loop clip mode and timeline
It’s a pity that it fails on some basic stuff that makes it too rigid and blocking. For example this case with DigiStix.
you can’t use midi cc’s
I wish they made the routing in general, both audio and midi, more open and flexible. It’s a shame that all these very advanced and awesome features are pushed back by some missing pieces that I believe wouldn’t be that hard to implement.
Does Zenbeats is still waiting for drum seq “probability” function to be implemented ?

This is the kind of thing with Zenebats. Random velocity is great, super useful and pretty unique as not many sequencers have that option. But most sequencers have “probability“ while Zenbeats doesn’t. It seems to add super nice extra and unique functionality but misses out on some features that we’re used to in other daws/apps.

@tahiche Try this, copen the plugin you want to pass CCs to and click on the Plugin Menu button and de-select Block All RAW MIDI CCs and see if that helps.

Apparently it now has the ability for multiple time-signatures and tempo-changes...

And you can totally have patterns in multiple time signatures in Zenbeats 2. Just click on the pattern menu icon in the MIDI or Drum Editor and adjust the time signature there.

Yeah, you can set the individual patterns. But when I try to change from, for instance, a patter of 7/8 to 4/4, the first pattern seems to add in an 8th count before changing over.
This could be user-error as I've not spent too much time with it. But just tried again and the same thing is happening.

Things I really miss:
I’m having issues with automation. When moving nodes while playing, there’s a crackle and the auv3 crashes, it becomes a white screen and the audio stops.
The new features are great and they improve the experience. But as I pointed out before I’d love to see more “pro” enhancements to improve flexibility and integration with other plugins and apps. Is there a roadmap for any of these?. I know these kind of “more advanced” features might not be flashy or appealing for new users but they’d greatly improve the app for those that are more advanced.
Anyway, thanks for the update. Zenbeats is my fav DAW on iOS and I’m really glad to see its very much alive!. 👏🙌
hey, i abaolutely love zenbeats 3.0 i have however noticed that i cannot open certain auv3s anymore without them freezing and getting a blank white screen. koala sampler being one of them. whether i open koala first or zenbeats first no matter what i try to do i get a white screen with koala, and ive noticed in the plugin drop down menu on the right there are three apps in a category called "quarantined plugins" and koala was one of them so im not sure if that has anything to do with it...
man, if i could be part of the beta that would be so awesome, zenbeats has quckily become my main tool since about 5 days ago and then BOOM version 3 comes out. i was not expecting that! thanks for not leaving this app out to dry like some other big name companies and their apps cough reason studios cough
