    as for DigiStix check if there is a built-in AU parameter for changing the pattern

    DigiStix 2?. Can’t see it, just a “Preset” one that doesn’t seem to do anything.
    DigiStix 1 had a way of changing patterns with notes, but it seems like it’s not the case anymore.

    These things are very frustrating. To me Zenbeats is the best iOS daw. It’s got very advanced features that make it the fastest and more enjoyable for me:

    • drum sequencer
    • Preview loops and sounds in context, in time

    • Loop clip mode and timeline
      It’s a pity that it fails on some basic stuff that makes it too rigid and blocking. For example this case with DigiStix.

    • you can’t use midi cc’s

    • You can’t map Zenbeats’ drum sequencer to certain notes, that is, use ZB drum sequencer to trigger another sampler (DigiStix has velocity layers).
      I wish they made the routing in general, both audio and midi, more open and flexible. It’s a shame that all these very advanced and awesome features are pushed back by some missing pieces that I believe wouldn’t be that hard to implement.

    This is the kind of thing with Zenebats. Random velocity is great, super useful and pretty unique as not many sequencers have that option. But most sequencers have “probability“ while Zenbeats doesn’t. It seems to add super nice extra and unique functionality but misses out on some features that we’re used to in other daws/apps.

    Thanks for the feedback and feature requests. I see the need for both probability and better CC mapping.
    @tahiche Try this, copen the plugin you want to pass CCs to and click on the Plugin Menu button and de-select Block All RAW MIDI CCs and see if that helps.

    And you can totally have patterns in multiple time signatures in Zenbeats 2. Just click on the pattern menu icon in the MIDI or Drum Editor and adjust the time signature there.

    Yeah, you can set the individual patterns. But when I try to change from, for instance, a patter of 7/8 to 4/4, the first pattern seems to add in an 8th count before changing over.

    This could be user-error as I've not spent too much time with it. But just tried again and the same thing is happening.

    Just came here to share, Zenbeats 3.0 is here.

    In addition to the some of the bigger features, we've added over 60+ improvements throughout the app. A lot of which came out of direct feedback from this community. I know we haven't done everything requested here (with this release;-), but we're still at it and have plenty of work to do! I hope you all like what we dropped today, but do not hesitate to hit me up with feedback, requests, etc. We are listening.

    Thanks for the update!. Some cool stuff here. I want to hear what others have to say. Personally I do like the new stuff but I wished it’d gone further, hope it keeps coming!
    From the first look.

    👍:

    • Audio editing, cropping, slice … on the drum sampler is very nice.
    • layout, sections and window management is a lot better.
    • The “drop midi to audio” to render midi is a killer feature. 🔝
    • multi track recording in loop builder was badly needed!. Yet to try it out.
    • favorites for auv3 plugins is a great timesaver. Favorites in general are really nice.
    • Probability on drum sequencer! Yes, yes!
    • Drum editor, automation etc ui and workflow is a lot better.
    • Group tracks are a very welcome addition!.

    Things I really miss:

    • CC automation and in general more flexible midi routing, midi on track auv3 plugins….
    • artwork for 3rd party auv3 plugins, specially since there’s a lot more of them. (Mentioned above 👆 +1)
    • Being able to map the midi note of the drum seq instruments to be able to better trigger external instruments.
    • drag and drop from file system and not having to import Audio beforehand.
    • Sidechain, buses and flexible audio routing

    I’m having issues with automation. When moving nodes while playing, there’s a crackle and the auv3 crashes, it becomes a white screen and the audio stops.

    The new features are great and they improve the experience. But as I pointed out before I’d love to see more “pro” enhancements to improve flexibility and integration with other plugins and apps. Is there a roadmap for any of these?. I know these kind of “more advanced” features might not be flashy or appealing for new users but they’d greatly improve the app for those that are more advanced.
    Anyway, thanks for the update. Zenbeats is my fav DAW on iOS and I’m really glad to see its very much alive!. 👏🙌

    hey, i abaolutely love zenbeats 3.0 i have however noticed that i cannot open certain auv3s anymore without them freezing and getting a blank white screen. koala sampler being one of them. whether i open koala first or zenbeats first no matter what i try to do i get a white screen with koala, and ive noticed in the plugin drop down menu on the right there are three apps in a category called "quarantined plugins" and koala was one of them so im not sure if that has anything to do with it...

    man, if i could be part of the beta that would be so awesome, zenbeats has quckily become my main tool since about 5 days ago and then BOOM version 3 comes out. i was not expecting that! thanks for not leaving this app out to dry like some other big name companies and their apps cough reason studios cough

    There's a V3 unlock for a fair price...
    ...for those that really love ZenBeats :sunglasses:

    I might give ZenBeats another check in a year or two...
    For now I'm happier with the free space on my iPad after deleting it.

    I second that

    On desktop platforms, ZB will automatically take a snapshot of plugin window when you load as use it as the image. This feature is blocked by iOS for some reason. Will continue to look into it.> @Yalexein said:

    Thank you for the feedback and feature requests. Two comments on:

    • Being able to map the midi note of the drum seq instruments to be able to better trigger external instruments.

    You can now map MIDI notes to specific drum pads in ZR1. Just tap and hold on a drum slot in the editor and select MIDI Learn from the dropdown list.

    • Sidechain, buses and flexible audio routing

    I know we still need sidechain, but outside of group tracks, what other audio routing options are you missing?

    I am not a lover of Subscription model, but I do understand the concept, developers got to eat to and needs to be paid for continue development of a App.

    I agree. Pro is only useful if you are also a MacOS or Windows users. If Zenbeats is your main interest, Core is all you need and is by far the best value imo.

    so there was nothing to unlock for me idk.. seems like some people are findind this fee to get V3 but it app just came in a free update for me
