Can’t figure out the song mode or pattern chaining?

  • Ok so put this one on the 'enhancement request' longlist as there's clearly a bunch of other stuff being added anyway, and I don't even know if it's possible anyway but...!

The td 3 (which no-one has yet anyway) has a companion app from behringer called synth tool. This allows you to create patterns and upload them. Nice but you don't hear them until they're uploaded.

So basically how feasible would an in app purchase add on to allow export of patterns from pure acid to synth tool be?

  • midi out and midi export great features, i don't think it should be IAP, just part of the apps itself.

I had the same question. Answer: Long press on pattern number square (or pattern button in drums - they are separate) and slide over. See Doug's video in this thread - it makes it clear.

Find it extremely hard to complain about this app for what I paid for it and much the same challenge raving about it. If I were to rate it in App Store now id go ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ stars. AU could make it 4. Love the Devs work so’ll hold off on rating it for awhile as he was forthcoming about it being released early.

It’s 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ from me and that’s just for finally having the greatest sounding 303 in my pocket.

The sequencer, FX and 909/808/707/606 drum machine are a bonus.

    Ok sweet.

@jimpavloff please look into the Catalyst to port your apps onto MacOs. Lots of cash ready to throw your way. Keep on going!!!

Ok, please try to set Background timer to off, and try again.
Strange however, not a single time I experienced this with Distortion knobs

@jimpavloff , yes running in AUM. Just tried with background timer off with the same results ....

    thanks

Can you write down exact sequence of actions which 100 % lead to this glitch? Or is it happen randomly after certain number of different actions, unpredictably?

Load and run patch in AUM

Turn Distortion to 10 or more

    Lower HP filter

    Guaranteed bassline crash every time

Confirmed here too. iPhone 11, iOS 13.2.2, Latest version of AUM

May be AUM... iBassist is also giving some crashes too.

All of the issues I've described are when trying to use PA in AUM. But that doesn't mean I'm saying it's PA or AUMs fault, that's not obviously something I can know. They just have issues working together sometimes =)

I think I said before, I'm just happy to wait for the auv3 update. I'm in no rush and don't really use IAA anyway I just wanted to try PA with external sequencers and fx out of interest to get a feel for how I might use the auv3 version when it drops.

I've had no issues with the standalone app other than I keep trying to drag notes in the sequencer view...=)

Well, AUM developer usually visit this forum.. Maybe it is well worth looking into.. It’s no fun after creating a ‘masterpiece’ and poof... it’s gone in a crash..

  • Loving this app a lot but the one thing it is missing above all else (Unless I missed it somehow) at the mo is exposed MIDI parameters so I can get some serious knob LFO automation going . Here’s hoping.

the knobs are MIDI-able. Turn on MIDI learn and tap a knob to see its default CC setting--which you can override with MIDI learn.

  • Pure Acid by JimAudio iOS app. Demo with Elastic FX (by O-G-SUS) app in AUM. Using Bluetooth keyboard to send notes to Pure Acid. By keeping the “write” button enabled, the sequence is continuously rewritten. The audio is sent to ElasticFX app for erm, FX.

Love the way you can change the sequence on the fly, if desired. Not sure how the slides are entered when doing so. They seem to pop up somewhat randomly, which is completely fine.

More fun than a barrel full of intoxicated monkeys. Running PA thru EFX launches the barrel into outer space! 👾👽😁

Just tried AUM with PA (all default settings) on my iPad Air 2 and so far it hasn’t glitched.

On my iPhone 11 the glitch is 100% repeatable.

Are both running the same OS version?

Not sure if this was mentioned, but cultofmac.com had a glowing review of our favorite new app. From the article:

“Right now, Pure Acid costs $9.99. I suggest you grab it immediately. Unless you hate fun.”

    😄

Slides are made by overlapping notes.
Push one note and then another before releasing the first one.

I really want silver instead of gold knobs on this one. Why is that? I never care about that kind of stuff, and usually scoff at people who do.

Pretty good though when that's the worst complaint I can come up with on a new app release. ;)

  • Does anyone know how to select and thereby modify the four 'fill' patterns in the drum sequencer? I think I'v sussed everything else out, but not that bit. Thanks in advance.

  • @jolico thanks. That makes perfect sense.

Just go to that Fill pattern when playback is stopped. Then you can play and edit it.
Upd: break the drum chain before doing so to prevent cursor jumping back.

Stop the sequencer and press pattern then you can select the fills.

I'm absolutely loving this. You, sir, deserve a medal. When will Grooverider be on sale next?!

Any tips on how to sync my Circuit with it? No midi clock or Link start/stop but... is there a way? I can have them play at the same time but a start / stop syncing at the beginning of a pattern eludes me.

I think if you use AUM as host and enable IAA sync (in PA) then you can clock circuit from AUM and PA will start stop to AUM. The other guys can give the AB solution.
