  • @jimpavloff Don’t know if it’s too early or late for some future request, but here’s my short list:

    • TB303 can set sequencer to triplets, have you thought about adding that?
    • Changing the pitch of sequence on the fly (like Pitch Mode on original 303).
    • Gate reverb would be a welcome effect.
    • Sample import. I know... milk and cucumbers, but adding a user sample ‘switch’ to the single drum slots (BD, SD, HC, LC, CLP) would be awesome. That way there’d be no need to link other apps for a sample or two. Controlling everything inside PA is much more convenient plus the samples can be processed through the boost and FX.
    • Would’ve loved the 707 hats and clap (would be solved with the previous request).

Anyway, congratulations with an impressive version 1 app!

  • Is there a way to trigger patterns via midi?

  • @jimpavloff have you published a manual?

Agreed. When it's a One Man Show putting everything into the app... it's better to keep putting everything into the app to squash bugs and fulfill more wishlist stuff, and also stay present on this board to give support, and build support so other users can support people. A manual would be good. Eventually. To help people who don't come here.

  • I love 'em. But all the kidz want are videos.

  • I was just hitting some walls in the sequencer but> @jimpavloff said:

I’d like to think I don’t but was having a senior moment editing and then wanted to confirm a few things that I think I’m ok with now regarding lfo modulation and parameter recording.

  • Step 1: Have fun

    Step 2: Repeat

  • When exporting audio, bassline, with PA, audio settings at 48, the exported file is 44.1. Is it possible to export at 48?

It exports at a frequency it plays. If you manage it to play at 48, it will export 48.

  • Undo would be nice for all modifications. Can you edit a step length without impacting the position of the rest of the steps?

Not sure what you mean; PA audio settings are at 48, using an iPad Air 3 with no audio interface, so it’s locked at 48. Is it not being played at 48? I must be missing something?

  • What’s your preference folks, when starting a bassline? What do you lean towards mostly?
    Saw or Square?

If it renders 44, it plays 44 then. Maybe you are using it with AUM or other host, that set to 44 ?

No, otherwise it would have to just delete overlapping notes without asking, what would be inappropriate for me.

No, I’m using it with Cubasis, all projects and defaults are 48. Other exports from other apps export and import correctly as 48. Importing into Audioshare confirms the PA exports are at 44. Otherwise, thanks for a great app... it’s not a deal breaker.

Yea I guess that gets tricky with monophonic synths. My use case was that I had recorded a note for too long and wanted to shorten it without altering the positions of steps further down. Another issue was wanting to move a note back/forward to another step if my timing was off. This really just comes down to needing to stick to step sequencing manually instead of relying on my poor timing live. It’s also easy to think I’ll have the same capabilities of gr16.

  • @jimpavloff btw, running great on my iPhone now. No crackling.

I almost always use saw waves. Square waves remind me of clarinet

If @jimpavloff considered adding controls to insert or delete steps at the current marker this would allow basic ripple editing, and let you shift sections of your patterns either forward or backwards.

This would help deal with the issue raised above that when adjusting a note's length, everything after it shifts forwards or backwards.

On a side note.. +1 for a global undo control, and a warning when loading a preset when you have unsaved changes.

... and did I mention I'M ABSOLUTELY LOVING THIS APP!!

For the Midi in PA it was usefull.

I need more Midi capabilities, to remote everything from a Groovebox or whatever.
Can i set the Notes and Midichannels for the Drums in PA?

And please give me a Midi Clock.

    That’s already there. B)

Press Shift when in edit mode.

  • Doh!

    Thanks @wim

  • Is it possible, to sort the patterns (sequencer)? Or do I have to do it via copy and paste?
