Make sure you’ve saved the preset at least once. Then it works as you’d expect it to when editing notes. If you haven’t done that first save it nukes your pattern. :#

  • How to shorten the drum pattern step or make it longer than 16 steps?

Doesn’t look like you can shorten patterns. Only way to create 32 or 64 step patterns is to chain multiple patterns together.

  • This is SO MUCH FUN!

  • I just had the most satisfying jam. Pure Acid, Elastic Drums, Troublemaker, Ruismaker Noir and Future Drummer.

Didn’t record a stitch of it but a great way to end the weekend.

  • @jimpavloff
Ok, so it crashes in AUM when trying to automate some parameters with Rozeta LFO. It works for a while, only on Midi CC 17 and only for one parameter at a time, then it crashes.
    iPad Pro 9.7 latest iOS.

Saw wave stopped working after a while. Even when flipping through presets, in those with saw, only the drums were audible.

    This only happened once.

I’ve had a few blank outs with the synth as well- usually when I’m playing about with the delay.

  • @jimpavloff , had a crash in AUM.
Finger holding the MFX (flanger), with only BassLine going to MFX, then changed display from mixer to sequencer (with finger still on MFX) , bassline synth audio crashed. Drums still playing.
    Air2, iPadOS 13.2.2

  • All can say is wow! This is masterpiece. Where did the last 3 hours go? It’s sounds so good. Just buy it people 😮

  • @jimpavloff Loving Pure Acid! 💀 Can we get 12 step patterns in the drum machine? Thanks!

  • So now, there are two threads about Pure Acid... quite dispersive.

  • Comparisons to troublemaker anyone?

  • Has anyone figured out if there is a midi command to select the bass or drum pattern by number?

I love TM, but it’s not a 1:1 clone. PA is IMHO the most accurate 303 iOS emu I heard since Rebirth. Said that, TM specially with the new modded AU is simply amazing and I use it so much.

it's more accurate than rebirth ;) it's in my opinion even better than audiorealism bassline which was most close SW clone made till yet... i didn't made some onjecrive comparision, but infeel like his is most close to real think i ever heard. As hardcore 303 fan i'm pretty amazed :-)

We love it so much there should be 3 threads!!

  • how about the drums? Are they modeled or samples?

And can you export as stems, or record to separate channels? I'm going to get this, just wondering how it will fit into my existing workflow.

I’m looking forward to using them together. Similar but different.

On previous page, @Dendy said "that every pattern can have various lenght up to 32 steps, this gives serious posibilities.."

    ???

With audio export are drums and bass exported separately? Stems or one file/pattern?

  • Did I overlook a manual or help section within the app?

Trying to figure out chokes and drum tweaking.

This app is wicked! Brings me back to my OG electribe

I'm afraid he was referring to the bass patterns

  • Rozeta Bassline with TM has a "probability" feature ( im not sure if that's the name of it) where it just brings a nice melodious variation (it's not a lfo) > @cian said:

I think the next step is AU (from what I recall) so with that you will be able to separate drums from bass in an AU host by having multiple instances etc. Maybe not ideal for some who do not want to jump bewtween AUs for sperate bass / drums but that will be fine for me. In fact I may not use the drums at all. Yah seperate IAA outs may be best for some people but with IAA being deprecated maybe it is not worthwhile. No idea, maybe it is an easy-ish switch to flip on the dev side but something tells me it may not be.

Anyway, hopefully AU (with full AU automation) satisfies most people's needs.

I had some fun with this in BM3 for a few hours but will likely put it on hold until AU comes around.

IMHO in the sound department PA has the edge, which is most noticeable with the square waveform. OTOH I find Troublemaker's sequencer more intuitive and easier to use.

  • I like in PA you can introduce notes from a keyboard & gate per step

    Me too.

I don’t like the PA sequencer. It seems to appeal most to those that like hardware Grooveboxes.

As I said on the other PA thread, I’m a little bit allergic to apps that slavishly pretend to be hardware to the detriment (IMHO) of the UX. the way you have to adjust steps is fine for an electribe but I just want to be able to maximise the size of the sequencer view and drag notes around. But that’s fine as once PA goes auv3 that’s exactly what I will be able to do. I can wait. And I’m clearly in the minority in not liking the sequence and hardware inspired UX judging by this thread so no worries. It is what it is and that’s fine.

However I’ve also tried PA as an IAA four or five times in AUM and had ear piercing audio glitches then silence whilst the AUM clip meters go berserk (whilst there is no sound at all) and that’s just confirmed my intention to just wait for the auv3. The last time it worked until I moved the distortion knob then cut out (same way, loud blip followed by total silence but AUM clip meters flashing).

(iPhone 11; latest iOS version; buffer in PA set to 256 or 512).

I do look forward to driving PA from rozeta and the various DAW piano rolls.

Tried many times and could not reproduce this bug. What setting "Background Timer" do you have in your PA settings?

Oh, I was just talking to a friend and we both wished you could do that. Neither of us tried that Write button next to the keyboard. Thanks for the tip, it makes the sequencer much more user friendly :)
