    Any hope for bug fixing?

I always have to make sure before I play that it’s on the beginning of time line and stil it’s sometimes starts out of sync.

If there’s any other reliable solution for a similar product I would buy it.

None, if you don't report specific, reproducible bugs directly to the developer, rather than vague one-sentence comments on a forum that the developer probably doesn't check on a regular basis.

I have reported one issue and three feature requests to support @ 4pockets.com. The issue was fixed before I finished reporting it and two of the three feature requests were added. The third was ignored twice. Sometimes the developer is very responsive, and then there are times where he goes dark for a while. Some people have said that they've reported bugs that haven't been addressed.

But forget it if you don't plan to make the effort. Then there is a 100% chance it will not be fixed.

I can’t remember the list now but almost none of the issues I reported, twice, were addressed, so can’t really agree with the ‘very responsive’ part, and my second email was ignored completely.

It still has a number of bugs and usability issues and the lack of updates, whilst a ton of new apps has come out in the meantime, has meant I would never buy from this dev again.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but support and bug fixes are an essential part of the deal for me.

  • It’s been asked already probably, but can you drag and drop wave files from the Apple files app via drag and drop into this (similar to Elliot Garage apps)?!

    Yes.

IMO it's worth having, but as you can see, some people get pretty frustrated with it. The developer is so busy cranking out new apps that bug fixes aren't a sure thing.

More disappointment than frustration, as it could be one of the best, most used apps on my iPad. It’s that important last 10% of polish - tweaking it to perfection - listening to user feedback and crushing any remaining bugs. Instead it feels like there’s a ‘that’ll do - next!’ approach going on.

I still revisit it as there’s nothing else like it, but then the frustration kicks in.

They could properly corner the market with this one, but they’re too busy thinking of the next new thing.

    I feel exactly the same.
I kept on staying away from their products as their other apps were never polished to the max.

But as it was the only solution for my ideal set up in Aum I gave it a try and as expected the disappointment hits with frustration that there a very slight chance for improvement.

Hope the developers will be thoughtful and considerate.

If you haven't done so, you should contact the developer by whatever his preferred means of communication is. The dev seems not to be a frequent visitor here. So, you (and everyone with issues) should contact him directly.

  • This app is a serious buzzkill. Every time I attempt to use it, it won't work properly. It's not intuitive. It's buggy. Don't waste your money.

  • Yep, this was the one that did it for me with this developer. It had such promise but does not live up to it.

  • What a shame. In that case, you have to wonder if this one was a bit too ambitious?

  • No idea, but it's the first and last 4Pockets app I'll ever buy.

    Sixth and last for me.

I could see the concept totally working but yah maybe too ambitious for the price point and etc.

    I don’t know, I like the 4pockets apps.
They are working fine for me.

There may be some workflow issues, but it isn’t like these are all broken apps, or that the dev never updates them with bug fixes.

You could probably get that impression from all the complaints and ‘never again’ statements, though.
But it is simply not the case. Not one of the 4pockets app is unusable or broken. Some people just don’t like using them, or they are missing a feature or two that they really want.

But for what I use them for, they work fine.

  • Hi, sorry in advance if this has been answered already.
Can you loop a track in AUM?. It seems to loop when not syncing to AUM but when syncing the loop does nothing.
    Am I doing something wrong?
    Cheers.

Turn Host Sync off. Turn Remote on. Set the tempo manually to match the host tempo.

    WOW. It works!.

  • Is there any way to control Multitrack via midi?.
Say you’re using DigiKeys to build a song with sequence changes, Multitrack would take care of the audio... but you’d need a way to play/mute tracks, maybe fast forward to a point in the timeline...
if using something like DigiKeys as a brain it’s make sense for DigiKeys to control Multitrack, just like any other sound source. Otherwise you’d need to arrange audio in Multitrak besides and ignoring antyhting going on in the main arranger (Digikeys).
Btw, I’m expecting a no as a I can’t find any info on midi control for Muktitrack. But it should have it if it doesn’t,
    Cheers!.

  • Is it a bug?I’m trying to record, but it forces me to change sample rate to 48khz, but I can’t do that due my interface, before ios 14 it was ok

I use Multitrack a lot and haven’t had that problem. I haven’t upgraded to iOS 14 as I heard so many horror stories. I can’t confirm your suspicions but thought I’d post just to say - I’m still on 13 and it is running fine. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

    What host are you in?

    What hardware are you running?

Are you using an audio interface?

Same issue, not yet on iOS 14. Closed a few other apps, that fixed it.

  • The first app to set the sample rate owns it. So that makes sense.

It’s really helpful if people think say whether they’re running in standalone, or as an AU in a host. It makes a big difference in the possible causes / answers.

  • Is there a way to resize the view so that you only see the playlist and not the controls at the top? I can't seem to figure it out and it's a pain in the arse when I'm just using it to arrange in AUM.

  • Does this have multiple audio outs? Could I send 8 separate channels to my audio interface?

You can use different sends in AUM to this already?
