Yeah the pattern assign is definately buggy, the rest of it seems to be good though, I havn't messed with the midi stuff and its unlikely I will, another thing, is there a tempo lock?
Thanks @telecharge.
@gburks I find seekbeats a bit easier to program due to the graphic curves display and less cluttered ui. Stroke is definitely better featured with melodic grid and more advanced sequencer. In times of lacklustre midi sync in ios I presume it will have its following but I already feel I won't use it a great deal. This is mainly due to the ui. I.e. Adsr in stroke is ridiculously small it's almost a case for a stylus if you don't have baby fingers.
It sounds good, however not sure if better than seekbeats. It also seems to have superior to sb lfo settings for those wild Sci fi sound fx.
there needs to be more videos videos videos
The pattern assign used to have the same bug in an earlier version. Then got fixed. Strange that it's back again...
I'm concerned a bit about the envelope display size too (haven't purchased it yet). They seem really really fiddly in Tim's video. Envelopes are so critical to drum programming that a zoom ala Animoog might be a worthy addition. Then again, maybe it's fine for most people?
This has been on my wish list for ages, with updates and a sale gonna grab this tonight :-)

For the ADSR, you can use the knobs on top instead of moving the actual envelope points. I don't find those fiddly at all. The only time it gets fiddly is when I want to adjust a slope of an envelope stage that's too short.
On iPad2, there were no immediate signs of CPU performance issues, at least not with 4 or 5 instruments going. However, there is some weirdness at times with the demo patterns where it almost seems to drop out for a second while changing screens (like from 1-16 to 17-32). Cant tell if I'm hearing things or if this is a performance glitch.
Anyway, I was warned it may not work on my device, so my expectations are limited. It seems to work well enough to use. Actually a pretty cool groovebox interface with both percussive sounds and then a pull-up keyboard/piano roll editor for bass/synth notes!
Velocity pads responded quickly in most cases, and are a nice addition.

Thanks for posting. I want to hear from as many folks as possible regarding the app's performance post-upgrade. I wonder what the instrument limit is for each model.
Going to try driving it from Cubasis with some of BreakTweaker's sample library loaded. That'll be about as hard as I can think to push it. iPad Air btw, we'll see if it helps with BT's 24-bit samples.
So how do you sequence it from Cubasis, folks?
Use it as an IAA instrument, to start with. Beyond that, I'm not sure just yet. Taking care of a few other things before I have time to fart around with it today.
I'll let you know what works
Try the space age preset for an idea of what this can do, really good sound! Soooo 80s:-)
I use it on iPad 3. For some reason the output volume is very low. I dial all volumes to the maximum and it doesn't help.
Think it might be a setting issue or OS thing, I checked with DM1 and it plays everything loud and clear.
Also using three drums and two melodic parts the sound sometimes vanish for a second. Maybe it's a CPU issue?
@Shay, I've notice this as well, on iPad 3, 4 and Air. Very low output volume. I think it was not as quiet before the update, but I cannot compare. I've been using Final Touch in the Effect Slot in AudioBus before recording SM into Cubasis as a workaround.
I don't have this app and the dearth of demos is kind of off-putting. Does anyone have anything they are willing to share? This is the only thing the dev has on his SoundCloud.
@Shay and @serosin - not sure if this addresses your problem, but the default velocity for all instruments in the mixer is like 75%. If you sequence instruments, they sound a lot quieter than previewing the file or using the pad.
Master volume is also output for the app, not iPad volume - I believe I saw that in a prior chg log. Point being - all these things may need to be turned up full, which they are not as a default.
I'm doing this next so probably Monday for the video, to sort the volume problem out, first have a play with the EQ, and add a little bit of Drive, together they make a massivie difference to the volume of the sound
Thanks everyone for your help. I did more research and as @serosin said the 808 and 909 are louder. Also as @StormJH1 said the default volume in the mixer was 75%. Infact the volume in the AMP section is also default to 75%.
Increasing all to 100% gave much better result.
Another weird logic. If you wish to mute (or solo) a part from the sound edit window you press the mute button, toggle the parts and press the mute again to disengage.
I would expect that mute or solo will only toggle the selected part.
Edit: reported on their site support section.
Here is my demo for the app

Has anyone managed to slave this to loopy? I've tried but failed. The only midi setting I found on SM is external sequencer setting and set loopy to send midi clock to it. Am I missing something?
So i got it to sync out of audiobus but haven't managed to connect it within IAA with internal sync enabled. As soon as I fire up audiobus they stop sync. WTF may I ask?
Thought I had a volume problem but it was a velocity problem. Tap and drag a note/beat marker up or down to adjust velocity value. A sweet feature overlooked by me.
Does anyone have any demos they can post? Still interested in this app, but i'm not sure how practical it would be based on sounds i've heard in Tim and Doug's tutorial videos.
@hwangman I made the same request upthread. =P
You can import samples or create your own sounds if you have synth skills. I would like to hear more of the built-in kits though.

Good man. This is one of the more intriguing apps, in my opinion, but i've yet to hear anything amazing. Even at $10, i can't justify the price unless it's fantastic.

I find most if not all of the preset kit/patterns very uninspiring, so here are a few of the "more interesting" ones. The second patern is much louder and its clipping. I recorded it straight into AudioShare via IAA.

I hope that link works, I din't wanna put that on my Soundcloud.

Wow! Nicely done. I really like all the sounds in there. I'm not a synthesis expert by any means...was it fairly easy/manageable to program that in the app?
