But yes, when I'm playing keyboard live, I take every effort to avoid broken chords
To remove a plank?
(Sorry, 'lil attempted biblical humor there.)
Only if you use a ladder type SAW filter ...
I have to say, Continua is the type of synth for me. That and apps like Mononoke, Aparillo, Shockwave etc
Continua is my #1 synth right now. Stable. Easy to program. Fun. Horrifically beautiful modulations. The mononoke with sound design capabilities
What an incredibly sounding synth!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m really loving the sounds in this beast!
Found that to easily save a preset that you have edited, first before tapping anything else, scroll up on the open preset screen and select the user folder. Now hit save. Name your preset and bam!
My Continua patch saving tips, from bitter experience ...
Just make sure you don't accidentally touch a preset in the browser (rather than a folder) as that preset you touch will be loaded instantly and you will lose any unsaved patch changes eg. if you are working on a patch, and want to save it regularly as you edit.
Also, don't try to scroll by swiping on the patch list as this will select whatever is under your finger where you begin the swipe, as if you'd just tapped it.
Also, even if you've alread saved the current patch, you will need to type the name in again every time, as it always comes up as "Default" when you hit Save rather than using the current patch name in the Save dialog.
It's easier to save the filename to the clipboard, to speed things up and avoid accidentally creating new patches.
One workaround is that I create a string in Notes or something with the whole patch name including directory, and copy it to the clipboard e.g.
My Patches/PAD String Patch
Then the saving workflow is as follows:
1. Open Browser
2. Click "Save"
3. Double tap on "Default" to highlight it
4. Paste your patch name string in
5. Hit Save
This avoids having to navigate to the folder and it also avoids accidentally selecting another patch before being able to save my work.
Am I overlooking a way to see all the things connected to a macro? I am wanting to dissect some presets and finding it tedious to go through knob by knob to figure it up what parameters are tweaked by the macros.
Unfortunately there isn’t any modulation overview AFAIK so the process you describe is the best we’ve got at the moment. Something like the mod matrix from Quanta is badly needed in Continua. I’ve sent an email to the devs ... we can but hope!
I love the synth so far. Is there a midi cc layout for this synth somewhere? I'm trying to control some parameters from SPA unit but only shows midi cc numbers. Theres no way to know what numbers correspond to a midi control in Continua.
Anyone had the same situation?
Looks much better than the old one 😊
saweeet! hope it comes to the rest of AD apps
Nice! I’d have to say the audio damage apps are the best for type of noise. I mean, Chris named his band after a Skinny Puppy lyric.
@iOSTRAKON you think i need replicant if i got scatterbrain? same ish?
Similar a little bit but I’m constantly using Replicant 2
ok fkit then gonna buy it edit; done.
haha epic.. its a keeper
Mixed with drums vox or anything / that and Glitchcore is a must have
nice I just replaced a few buses in aum scatterbrain to replicant .. more interesting stuff happens.. and i found triplets good did not see it first
pity glitchcore do t do triplets
Oops we stole the thread
When is the scheduled update?
Finally picked this one up. Pretty slick stuff. My first AD synth and I’m not disappointed.
Get Phosphor 3 too while it is on intro sale! Cheap as chips and sounds great, hopefully the mpe pitch bend issues will be fixed soon, apart from that I love it.
Version 1.0.21 is out:
Excellent! There are even arrows for navigating presets without opening browser.
Gives me more confidence that AD do actually take notice of bug reports I’d submitted some time ago.
finally
It's a very nice synth but kinda makes me wish my iPad was a bit faster
has there been any chat about iphone versions of AD synths
They just have. See @White 's post above.
