  • Just to clarify, In terms of Kymatica Audio Effects
    AUv3 = Green
    IAA = Blue

Picking up one or moe of the Blues is a nice way to give @j_liljedahl a tip for his amazing suite of products which you probably already own. If not... consider completing the collection:

    1. AUM
    2. AudioShare
    3. The Oscillator
    4. BitWiz
    5. and these 6 AU(3)FX apps... 4 Blue and 2 Green.

You forgot Sector which is a real awesome app. So much fun if you take some time.

  • And gestrument and yellofier
But i'm not sure if it's comissioned or if he shares the profits too (gestrument probably, because he's co-owner/founder)

  • Sector is a masterpiece. Best slice and dice app on any platform.

I didn't know about Yellofier... so I picked that one up. I already have Gestrument and Sector.

Time to play with Yellofier. It got an update 2 weeks ago so it should be an interesting IAA app to learn more about slicing audio for beats.

UPDATE: Yellofier won't load in AUM or AudioBus. The Standalone instance shows every page graphically but won't start for playback. Maybe there's a video and it's user error but I suspect it needs an update to IOS 14.2. I don't expect one given the other apps that need tending. I'll probably just go for the refund unless someone slips me an essential clue.

UPDATE2: I have an iPhone 5S stuck on IOS 12.something and it runs fine there. The store offered to download a compatible version for the older OS.
I expect there will be an update at some point so I'll just use it as a phone app or maybe on my iPad 1 if there's a really old version for IOS 8, is it?

+10 ... would love to have this as AUv3.

Ha ha, probably because Finnish and Swedish have no relation what so ever regarding language. Well, now you can read Swedish at least.

It's comes as a total surprise... can we switch back to english now? I'm getting a bit dizzy
    with this new superpower.

I get it now. The blue apps are out and bundled. The green ones are the new auv3 versions as a separate product, but with no bundle. Or until the 4 are auv3ified. I have AUM , Audioshare, Sector {not that I understand that one).

I gather the blue and green are the same in every way except connectivity?

Looks like the new AuV3 versions have some extra features.

  • I had forgotten about Yellofier and don't have it on my current iPad...well, I do now...thanks for the reminder!

Works fine for me on iPad Pro with 14.2 both stand-alone and in AudioBus.

  • With the talk of first blue and green, then mention of Yello, this seems apt:

  • I always wondered what happened to the guys from Yello.

They are still alive and kicking. Their new album is brilliant and a return to form (probably their best since the late eighties).

What are those features @jolico? Thanks! (Curious since I only have the blue IAA ones ATM.)

    I only have the delay:

Looks like they’re actually the same.
The controls are just arranged in a different order.

  • Cześć @dakti
Sorry for not replying earlier. As far as I understood update is for CB3. I do not have any info about CB2 but logic tell me that Steinberg's focus would be on a newer product with a sooner or later plan to stop developing/supporting the older version of the app. But of course if CB2 had everything you need and you don't mind a bit outdated UI, then of course the choice could be worth thinking about.
PS. Your countryman here. But probably more Poles are still hiding or undiscovered here ;)

Thanks... well I'm getting audio today. Something was blocking it yesterday. It's fun.
I imagine this style of audio slicing has had it's day. Or is it still widely used in some genre?

Now that we have the excellent Toneboosters, I wouldn't want any of these.

  • They are brand new, so probably not too many yet but I was curious about these 3 apps as well.

You snooze, you loose... Polynome Pro is 11% off.

I take it you endorse it and would buy it (her?) again?

No. It's a tool for drummers to be able to call up tempos or even play to a click.
The drummer touring with Chicago showed it to us at a clinic. He has to start tunes at the exact tempo to match the speed of the guitar player's delays. He uses it mixed with his in-ear monitors.

It's a very specialized metronome with a lot of pro features. But not for IOS music production... more for a gigging or practicing drummer. I think Peter Erskine is behind the
company that developed it. He's the drummer for Weather Report back in the Jaco days.
He has a lot of expensive targeted musician apps. I bought a couple and they are like more polished versions of the Session Band products.

11% is hardly a discount that would generate a real NOW factor for buying either. It was out there at 50% off in 2017. So, we snoozed already.

Man... You had me! I’m usually the one with the dry sense of humour rolling my eyes as I have to explain myself. well done sir! LOL

I the big news are the @j_liljedahl AU3FX apps for $5 each. They will get a featured spot in the AUM menus, I think. Like the IAA AUFX apps have had for so long. Be sure to check out the @Gavinski Youtube demos to see why you need another Reverb and Delay.

MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE AU3FX versions for AUv3 support. The bundle and AUFX are all IAA versions for the same price.

Is that why some icons are green and some blue?

Correct! The green apps are the new apps with AUV3. The blue apps are the ones without AUV3.
