@king_picadillo how can I find out what time signature they are? (Please dot tell me „by listening“ 😬)
By tapping (and counting) 😁
how long is mixbox on sale?
@Artvarg I would think they would be labeled. If not, no worries, I know how to count beats and can hear the difference (1234, 1234... vs 123, 123 4 beats per measure vs 3 beats per measure) but I am not proficient enough to clearly explain how to hear the difference. I can just hear it.
Great! These guys also have an app called KeyScore - Sheet Music (iPad only I think) which seem quite interesting and it can import pdf and edit sheet music beside the fact it does turn your page while playing
Not that I, personally, can read that well but maybe one day I'll learn. Edit: Seem pretty good and are free (not sure if it always is but it's pretty advanced so..).
Seems they didn't want to say how long 😁.My guess is that that means it will be long but they want to encourage folks to buy now for fear of missing out later
the FOMO is real haha, i’m still trying to decide if i should, i have so many wonderful effects and it is a ios budget killer lol absolutely worth it if you think of the price per effect...i just don’t know , i have most the ios must haves!
One day I'm sure I don't need MixBox, the day after I fight myself not to buy it 😂🙈... I hope the price will go up quickly so that my FOMO will be erased... 'cause I'll definitely never spend 80€ for it 🤪.
More than the FX by themselves, for which we have many great alternatives in every categories on our iPad, I think that it's the UI that seems so attractive in MixBox.
Also the workflow it offers seems to be fun and really much more straightforward than building same FX chains in AUM or a DAW.
I am on the same page. Back and forth and back and forth still holding my breath and balance on the fence.... it looks delicious tho
@reasOne, is @Jamie_Mallende 's code our "last and only" hope 😂🙈😉
haha it very well could be😂
Yes it does look and feel good, but the thing that swung it for me was the preset chains in practical categories, very easy to try out different ones to see what they do and what you like, to analyse how they have been set up, and of course to tweak them to optimise them for your own material.
Out of interest, why don’t you want to be told “by listening “? I really can’t think of another answer.
I‘m really bad with distinguishing anything by ear. Be it instruments (I have a hard time distinguishing between a trumpet and a saxophone 😖), key/scale or anything rhythm related. I have never tried to use anything other than 4/4... Maybe I‘ll give it a try with counting tonight, but I have my doubt that I will succeed in getting the right time signature out of a loop. 😅
we failed!
Yes
Can you tap your foot in time with music or tap?
haha well, there’s always all theeffects we have now tho lol
I shut up. 🙈🙊 we are set up
This is a really neat app! I played a song on my iPhone while the iPad was running the app and it worked perfectly at detecting the BPM. I haven't tried it with my interface yet or any other way of getting sound into it (e.g. IAA or AUV3).
DESKTOP:
All U-he stuff is on sale through Native Instruments
I believe 50% off!

U-he Diva remains one of my favourite soft synths, I wish there was an iOS version

Wow! These look pretty fun! Is doesn't say on the app descriptions, but are the sliders MIDI assignable???
Would be cool to run a guitar through Ttap while using an expression pedals to alter it!
😩... back to the indecision 🤪.
I had TTAP for quite some time and it's great. I have however never even thought of running my guitar through it as it has a kind of surreal output. Great for ambient sound. Not that one couldn't do that with the guitar, it's just, I haven't
All controls are cc assignable. WoV I did not like as much but, what do I know?
Wov is absolutely fantastic
i 10000% recommend getting all of them. they are so interesting and fun to play around with for some weird sounds. i put shaper on a lot of my tracks, whether it’s just a subtle warmth to a full blown out fuzz
