  • Amazing deal on GeoTenorSax! I went straight for that one - I hope that in time they have such a deal on each of them! Although I’m still not sure I’d ever actual use the oboe or clarinet.

  • I'd love a flute sale though. Adding some nice ethno vibes to tracks...

  • brilliant, I just need a sax solo for a pop tune I made

Really hoping that Quincy goes on sale with ScalePlay. Loves me some generative apps and missed it on BF.

Look at that, half price :)

  • Does seaquence go on sale every now and then?

Why is everything more expensive on the european market when the euro is already more expensive than the dollar :(

Only apple knows why. I mean look at that: https://themacindex.com

Poor Brazil - how did they deserve that? Next time I go to Brazil, I’ll take some MacBooks with me ;)

As a Brazilian, I feel that pain
Actually everything here is too expensive because of taxes and currency conversions from USD.
But almost 13k for a macbook? I can pay for all my house expenses, groceries, etc. and still buy apps  The whole year!

Same here. Deleted the GS app and installed it fresh. That did the trick for me

seems to have worked now, only took me an hour or so (I hate this kind of sh*t)

I had two different iTunes password popups each asking for a password separately when purchasing, there's something messy with the purchase process in GeoShred.

    yeah, absolutely nerve wrecking

.. but sounds quite good, now I've got to figure out how to play it properly that it sounds realistic

  • I was hoping to see iceWorks on sale, I’ve got some catching up to do. Have I missed it?

It was an instant buy for me and the IAPs, just a fantastic piece of generative software unlike anything else on the iOS ecosystem. I’m having a blast with it! Very happy!

You can feed this into midigates probability alter how often notes trigger, Rozeta Scaler altering the scale or shift notes, or use Mozaic and any of the note altering programmes available. All of the above can dramatically alter the composition. Sometimes I also use keyboard splits forcing notes to different channels so more instruments can play together. Since the main thing that Quincy is missing is the ability to send to many different channels at the same time. Hope that list maybe provides some extra creative fuel.

That’s insanity. What would happen if you flew to the southern US and picked one up there? Would they tax you on your return? I saw a thing recently about people in (I think) India flying to Dubai to buy an iPhone at half the price all in.

  • Not quite half price, but it rather makes a mockery of Apple’s claimed green credentials to make it cheaper to fly across the world to buy an iDevice. https://www.indiatoday.in/technology/features/story/iphone-12-pro-so-expensive-in-india-that-you-can-fly-to-dubai-to-buy-it-come-back-and-still-save-money-1733722-2020-10-21

How does WaveStorm stack up to other AUv3 wavetable synths on iOS?

It isn't intended to be a traditional wavetable synth. So, you won't be able to use wavetables from elsewhere. It has its own unique character, but for me it is quite crashy when using its wavetable editor.

you will find a lot of talk about it by searching the archives here. It used to be called scythe.

You can load your own wavetables as well. Lots of potential but, yes, it can be buggy.

Are you sure that you can load wavetables from outside the app without alteration?

I’ve only seen the important sound mechanism...which can grab wavetables (since wavetables are audio files), but they go through the audio processing mechanism I believe and aren’t imported as-is.

I could be mistaken if this was added recently.

Oh, weird. So this icon doesn’t import wavetables? It imports audio files (including wavetables) and then processes them differently to if it just used an external wavetable?

There is a wavetable creator available as an iap but it crashes the app alllllll of the time for me when I try to use it. I’ve written the developer about. I don’t know when or if it will be addressed but I can’t recommend anyone buying the wavetable creator

LayR synth just now showing up as $11.99 for me. Now I need to figure out if it's for me... great price though!

I think it’s one of the most underrated iPad synths, but you really do need an iPad that can handle it to really appreciate it

The laws have changed a bit. Nowadays I think you could bring one coputer and a smartphone on a trip without paying taxes. There was a time where you had a 500 USD limit.

Can't recall what exactly was released a few years ago that some people paid trips to USA, enjoyed a lil vacation and bought the product there instead of buying it here.

Sorry if I departed from the sales subject, y'all :sunglasses:

  • So to get back on track, if i'm not wrong Korg sales end December 28th, for those still considering the options. I was keeping an eye on Flip + KQ Dixie + Koala FX + RX950 + Drambo WT iAP (non of these are on sale, btw), will probably swap some of these for the sales and buy an extra gift card
