Xynthesizr is FAR more immediate and uses straight ahead piano(ish) style sequencing. Xynthesizr does game of life sequencing as PART of its generative capabilities. Quincy is only game of life and harder to set it up for something compositional.
Thank you!
Is xquence 2 on sale at the moment?
If not does it go on sale furlough money running out
Looks like I’m a day late and a dollar ($26.99) short!
I don’t think you missed anything... I gave it a go, and didn’t seem like anything great. Granted I only gave it 5 mins, but then deleted it.
@Poppadocrock
funny I’ve passed in a lot of free or cheap apps knowing it probably something I wouldn’t use, but. I thought this one would be good thanks for the heads up !
Yup.
Thanks. Very useful info.
The value you get in all 3 of these apps is phenomenal even at full price. All universal, all au.
I noticed that beatmaker 3 is reduced to £13.99 in the UK...
All IAPs on sale too
Yeah all Beatmaker 3 Sound Packs are 50% off until Dec 31st.
Thanks for confirming I thought they were. Cheers.
What kind of CPU performance are Poison-202 users getting?
Poison is pretty good on cpu, I’d give it an 8 out of 10, 10 being the lightest apps, and 0 being a beast that crashes hosts, lol.
It also has a patch randomizer, that works quite well. And there are some free presets somewhere in this forum or maybe under a YouTube video.
I'm realizing the value of having multiple VA polysynth apps. If one doesn't work out because it takes up too much CPU, or crashes AUM too much, just replace it in the AU host with another VA polysynth.
Minimal...
Tunable - Music Practice Tools is a pretty great app, and it is currently FREE! Usually $8.99. Don’t worry the IAPs are just developer tips. Pick it up ASAP.

Is it a symptom when I own every single app named here?
I would buy drumcomputer and mixbox, I just have more than I can manage already
Me too, going to have a “Dry January” for the App Store
No-app November except in January?
I still resist on MixBox, because I'm so scared to enjoy using it ! I don't want to leave the million other excellent FX I have bought and been more than happy with over the last years 😩🤪🙈... especialy FabFilter's bundle which is the more expensive piece of software I've purchased...
In fact, if @IK_Multimedia would have told us that MixBox will one day be an Auv3 host and have a tuner it would be a real "game changer".
Do those who have MixBox and FF series keep on using the latter ?
About DrumComputer ; I'm totally obsessed by it since the second I've downloaded it ! 🤣
@Gratouilli I know this is like feeding the monster, but to answer the Mixbox - FabFilter question....they are different beasts. In reality you could do most of what you want in side the FabFilter plugs without ever needing anything else....surgical work, mastering limiting, a beautiful reverb, a very versatile saturation plugin etc. Mixbox to me is more of an experimental playground of sorts and also provides a different range of FX. Kind of like extending your palette of paints rather than replacing the paints you have.
@Gratouilli If you already have the Fabfilter bundle, save a number of screenshots from the Mixbox bundle for your regular eye candy joy and do the work using your FF plugins. 😉
I hear you. I also understand that MixBox is surely a very good tool to learn how to chain different FX for different situations... but, on my side, I really think that it could become a "all other FX on my iPad killer"... and I want to avoid this possibility 😂🙈.
BTW, it's UI is appealing and I'm sure that it absolutely worth the 44€... that I'll keep on trying to save in the hope that FF will release Timeless and Volcano as Auv3 soon 😎.
I didn’t think I’d use it that much but then yesterday I was doing a 4-track jam in AUM and it was only at the end did I realise I’d used Mixbox on every track, all for wildly different purposes
Exactly what "scares" me 😂🙈 !
@rs2000 👍🏻 Great tip.
