IHarmony is Free, usually $00.99
It’s basically a reference for notes, scales, and harmonies
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/iharmony/id292413210
Only one per customer.
If I recall correctly this app was developed by a kid (in high school) using AudioKit...
Aside from the coolness of the app itself, the inapp synthesis tutorial is kickass.
Maybe someone will find this useful:
VK-1 Viking rack extension for Reason is on sale now, only $9: https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack-extension/vk-1-viking-synthesizer/
As far as I understand, it’s the same synth as on iOS, but in addition to sounding like a Moog Voyager it also looks like one. And it can be used in Logic Pro via the Reason Rack AU
Yea there’s a thread on this forum where @analog_matt shared an article about here...

BB17 Binaural Auv3 Synth by Paul Wand
https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1484562949
Down from $9.99 to $6.99
I like this one and the dev is putting effort in it🤘> @White said:
I see it has MPE support. Anyone can report how (well/bad) it works?
And what about connectivity? Audiobus? AUv3?
@Monome I’d like to ask but can’t find a contact for the dev. Some pretty trippy stuff on the youtube page though https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSNAxn-tpuectKN6674IpXw
It literally says ‘AUv3’ on the tin by the way, haha
Good mpe with roli seaboard, AUv3 and Audiobus.
Thnx Charles, does it respond to all 5 aspects of mpe? Most lack release. Does it have some kind of mod matrix to assign these things?
As soon as I get home tonight I will try to post a little video.
Thx again for cs spectral video. Is become my favorite app.
😳 ups
That would be great, @Charlesalbert thank you.
By the way it is also available for Mac OS. Same price as far as I can see.
@Charlesalbert wonderful x2 on both those statements
I feel this is a cross platform app. I only remember picking it up on the ios store and i was able to download for mymac as well
Ok! How do you like it?
@Monome I find it is rather fun to play with. I think musically, it may have some difficulty fitting in with bass patches, though it creates some beautiful bass (with the binaural beats this synth seems to be quite well suited to bass frequencies, and since they are typically made mono, binaural content would be moot <200 hz).
There are a couple control idiosyncrasies, namely holding a note and attempting to change certain synth settings (I could not hold a note manually and then change an oscillator to another wave, but i could open the menu to do so; changing some settings while software-holding a note will stop synthesis) and for use in standalone, the note-hold option is in a drop-down menu under ‘Express’ instead of just a button by the keyboard.
Overall sound is very enjoyable
Hey, thank you for the report @tehskwrl
Has any mental effects been noted by yawl binaural synth maniacs>? I know the general theory but like how do we trip out th mind proper you know.... another topic, back to the sales....
@Monome @Gavinski here You go a little play.
i picked up BB17 , it’s great 😎 watch videos on binaural beats on youtube to see the kinda things you can expect to make with it
That was very nice of you, @Charlesalbert thank you.
It sounds good, @reasOne , I’m going to pick it too. That should be the last for this month.
Nice one Charles, appreciate the vid! I'm really trying to limit new purchases, but definitely one to consider. Is it as full an implementation of mpe as you had hoped @Monome?
Ibassist on sale down to $8.99 usually $17.99
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ibassist/id1378203792
Oh man, I don't think I can resist this one, ppl rave about it. Is there anyone who doesn't like it I wonder?
iBassist is really the core of the LumBeats universe:
It can make a very hip iReal Pro rhythm section or fast song writing or practicing playing in a band or soloing.
For $9 it's money well spent.
The only headache is the lack of AUv3 support but it loads as an IAA and now syncs well with Link and MIDI sync options. For complex MIDI it plays well with AudioBus to route the virtual MIDI using AudioBus for more effective interop. If you haven't found the "virtual MIDI ports" in AudioBus you need to find them. It's the bus system for the Hyper-DAW.
OK, you've convinced me @McD
Good move. I think another idea is to put a progression into iBassist and record the MIDI in the DAW of your choice and then replace those tracks with your own ideas. The benefit would be the quick faming of a song format. By definition iBassist plays common patterns so deleting or moving notes changes it to something "uncommon". For anyone that like to make music in a traditional song model it's a way to
hit "generate idea starters" and get a really interesting drum track of course in the process.
To do this you should probably plumb bassist into Xequence 2 and later into an audio capable DAW.
I made this in about 10 minutes pumping bassist/funk drummer into AUM and adding a lot of multi-FX to make the shitty rhythm track sound more interesting. That drummer is the new IAP Funk Drummer "Nete Smith":
