Do the IAPs ever go on sale?
I think IAPs have never been on sale.
To quote @Gilbert : “ Packs increase in quality while remaining at the same affordable price 😉
So we just keep the sale for DPP.”
The above exchange shows that sometimes ppl do need to ask questions in this thread, it's not realistic that it be only for sales posts and there are never any comments. The simple way is, if two people start chatting too randomly, someone just nicely ask them to take it to another thread. Don't think it will be a big problem and ppl will get the message quickly enough.
I don't have any problem about the fact that IAPs never go on sale (they're not very expensive imho), my only regret is that the demo audio files use the samples processed, even if it's only a reverb. I would really like to be able to hear the samples dry.
I've seen this "news only! Converstation elsewhere!" debate multiple times and it never works well, if at all. Ironically you end up with a lot more noise of people complaining about the noise.
Now I know why I'm single! 🤣
Agree, this is a forum not a shopping site
Agreed but I spend more after visiting this forum than any shopping sites 😳
I’ve done more shopping here than anywhere else this year.

I, uh, hate to be the one to tell you this. But ... there might be other reasons....
I used to be only hardware.
That was expensive, but software wasn’t as good those days.
With apps, I like getting all of them to compare and keep only those that I like to use. This also reduces clutter and no more scrolling and scrolling past AuV3s that I don’t want to use.
These are my essentials at the moment (including some guilty pleasures)
Thought that essentials list would be but a handful, yet I just kept scrolling haha.
Your first 3 happen to be the only audio apps in my dock though too - I think it’s high time to add miRack!
people want to talk about the sales, if they should get an app, find out details etc... but sometimes some just want to see a list of all the sales without digging through a thread. So I get it.
That sounds pretty reasonable @SNystrom but I think the idea behind the wiki is to have the list without having the ability to comment because people will Inevitably comment on a thread.
I’m fine the way it is but I think some would prefer the list by itself.
I’m probably a hoarder.
I deleted a crap load to get it down to these including MiRack. I’ll reinstall if I need any of them, but as you can see I already have too many.
It’s easy to scroll thru here and locate sales. What’s the problem... except there are no sales recently.
I’m waiting for the July 4th Cubasis3 sale so I can hear people howl about how they paid full price. I understand there is a $100 iOS app payment being considered in the next stimulus package, but it won’t happen because Republicans only use Android.
Yeah, the Wiki sounds like it would solve the issue. I don't mind a question on an app deal, but sometimes it just gets out of hand.
I myself have been guilty of the same on this very thread.
I guess if it's talk about an amp you are interested in, it's great.
If it's talk about an app you have zero interest in (or Drambo 🙄) it's a whole other story!
Perhaps having the Wiki as well as a parallel app sale discussion thread could be a proper solution.
In the meantime, I realize I'm guilty right now of doing the one thing I've ranted about! 😞
Me too, now if I could only find shoes to match the bag.
@jolico
No Audiobus?
Not even Loopy?
You should be banned!
😉

These big sales thread are only useful during sales event scenarios.
Like Black Friday, or this spontaneous Quarantine free/on-sale app bonanza.
Other, more normal days have only a few sales to keep track of, so there is no need for a sales thread that just goes on forever. The sales expire anyway, so are you going to need another thread to announce expired sales (with no discussion, of course)?
If you just want to know about sales, without all the banter, there are already other websites and blogs for this. We need to get info on apps here, and if the app is temporarily on sale, then you need the info before the sale expires.
I would argue this info is what is of value on this forum, not the mere fact that an app is temporarily on sale. Like I said, the current sales are available all over the web. Info about apps from actual users of the apps is generally why I visit this forum daily.
And the sales Wiki makes no sense at all. It would mostly be a list of sales that you already missed out on, unless someone is going to constantly update it for active sales only. But why do that, when there are already plenty of other websites and blogs doing this? Seems like a big waste of somebody’s time.
Probably
I own them. I just don’t use them enough to keep them on my devices at the moment.
I’m totally joking.
I think you got that, but just making sure.
You better NOT leave!
🤙🏻
It’s confirmed then. I’m a hoarder
You’re right. Essentials should be essentials.
