Sorry if my syntax was a bit confusing. I am most definitely buying this app when it hits the States. Normally I might be a bit hesitant, not "buy into the hype", and check out a few demo vids first. This one is a must-buy.
I've been watching EMS VCS3 videos on YouTube all day. Not my most productive day of work.
It's out in EUROPE.....finally :-)
And yet ... we wait for the pumpkin to turn into a stagecoach in North America still .... ;-)

U$14.99 here. Well spent.
Hey this is really nice in the Effect Slot! Running iMS-20 through it righ now... Good routing possibilities, nice analog style delay with modulation, smooth sweeping filter! This is great!
The East Coast has it...

Couple of thoughts: Have some patience with iVCS3 - especially if you are into presets. This has some - but it's an experimentation synth - recreating the actual model from the 60s that was used in a lot of experimental music… Read the manual, take some time. Play. :-)
Oh - and take care not to overload your ears or your gear - especially if you plug pins in the Output Channel Level slots in the matrix. Ramp your volume down first!
To those who have bought it, iVCS3 is monophonic, yes? I can't find any comment about polyphony.
Here's my first go...
I haven't pulled the trigger yet, I need to hear loads of very excited people first. I've been over app spending lately.
@PaulB - Yes, it is monophonic.

Thanks.
Yeah...I've been over in app spending lately too @supadom....going into year three now.
virtual synths with only one voice (monophonic) can be an advantage regarding sound quality or accuracy in realistic emulation of analog circuitry.
Example: u-he Diva can do polyphony, but needs at least a 4-core CPU for good performance (although I also heard of 2-core CPU's with acceptable performance). Monark (a Native Instruments Reaktor Ensemble) appears to have a similar sound quality, but is strictly monophonic. But uses not so much CPU resources as a polyphonic Diva preset. A monophonic Diva preset uses a similar amount of CPU as Monark.
Which means, if you have a softsynth (common plugin or iOS app) that has only one voice (I think iVCS3 is the first one ever), it may be that it uses all existing resources just to emulate this one voice. With all 3 oscillators of course. But only one filter (VCF).
This all is just theory of course. It's just from my experience that virtual polyphonic synths sound nice for bread-and-butter sounds, but terribly fail when high-frequency VCO modulations or VCF feedback/resonance is applied. I can hear that very easily when I compare a similar patch to analog synthesisers. Virtual synths usually fail there.
I will compare iVCS3 to my modular systems the next days. So far I'm not much convinced if this app can truly emulate analog circuits. So, it's only a very theoretical comment I can give at the moment.
I'm not criticising, just wanted to know. Modular and iMS20 are also both monophonic, I believe.
Are there no attenuators for the pin matrix?

Don't worry Apple must have some health and safety limits for sound output.
Top marks for the 'looks', how is the sequencer I can't make it out from the pics. I can see one screen shot with 21 another with 14 steps? Is there a limit to steps in the analog sequencer or do the buttons get smaller and smaller until 1px.
Sorry, this actually is a serious question.
Also, anyone tried syncing it to anything? This seems to be the must feature for me ATM.
@Crabman on the back of the unit there is a compressor/limiter if you want can active with his switch and pots.
@supadom there is a pot for change the step number
Not talking about a limiter in the main audio signal path, talking about attenuators for better control of any kind of modulations. Thanks anyway.

According to the user guide:
Does that help? It is a bit techy for me to understand properly - waiting for a demo video!![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
By the way how do I stop the presets from playing continuously?!
Bleep bleep!!
@Crabman - The green pins have an attenuation of 0.66.

yes, that helps.I had an Analog Solutions Vostok MKII suitcase modular in the past, the pins had a similar behavior.Although i would prefer"real"knobs for controlling the modulation depth. But it`s cute how far the emulation goes![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Oh, didn't see that AlterEgo already answered that.
If it is monophonic, how is the "Fooled Again" patch work? Different Oscillators? I saw a video on YouTube where Townsend was playing chords and using an organ and the VCS3 as a filter, but the IVCS3 video gave me the impression that it was all generated in the app.
Maybe I'm missing something?
Buy it and you'll know for sure.
The synth part of it is mono, but you can input anything through it.
Ah, that's what I'm missing then - the app!
