  • Well, it’s hard to complain because I liked the original 60/106 and TAL produces a similar sound on iOS (and previously on Windows/Mac). But I’m also experiencing some difficulties with the faders when playing, they seem to jump now and then while playing and tweaking. It would also be nice to have the synth “full size” without the grey border on top + the preset management could be more user friendly I.m.o. Besides that I’m really enjoying this synth especially together with PU!

Anyone knows what the"Midi Lock" does?

The "Lock" button in the arpeggiator? It allows you to keep the arp settings while changing presets (details in the manual, though the button is called "Keep" there)

Edit: nevermind, I see the "MIDI Lock" button now

  • Wow what a synth. I got lost for an hour or so with this and Blackhole

  • Heads up people. CC 6 doesn't save. You can assign it, but it won't be included when you reboot. I've emailed Patrick about this (dev) and he said he can't use 6 as it clashes with other hosts, to quote:

"Unfortunately controller 6 does not save. It is the one that makes troubles in some hosts. Some hosts send this CC
    when you load a session."

  • with all these presets, is there a way to transfer an entire pack or do they need installed one at a time?

    figured it out!

  • Ok guys. I thought I was gonna buy it because I love the sound of it but then instead I just bought some IAPs for zeeon and it sounds exactly as an analogish 80s sound I'm looking for.

What is the REAL difference on sound between TAL and Zeeon?

Can anyone point me at the right direction?. They sound so much the same but Zeeon is much more.

  • I really love the sound of this synth!
Received an Easter gift from a very generous soul from this forum family ❤️🙏😌☝️
May God richly bless and repay their kindness and blessings! He knows who it is and will reward his generous ❤️ heart❤️😌🙏☝️

  • @Vlad11 TAL is much less resource intensive and still sounds thick! Zeeon is great though but a bit more digital sounding.

  • I once had a Juno 6. It could get some nice sounds, but I got tired of a lot of the samey fizzy sounds it did. I prefer Zeeon. It’s far more versatile.

It’s primarily about the super lush stereo chorus. I’ve tried them all and nothing on iOS comes close.

Edit. Thinking about it the FAC chorus pretty much nails it. I need to do some comparisons.

Edit2. Yeah. Just compared the chorus between the Tal and FAC. The FAC absolutely nails it.

If you can afford the $5 (currently 50% off) try the Delay3000 Vintage Modern from Nembrini Audio.

Modeled on the Roland SDE-3000 rack delay unit, the new DELAY3000 Vintage Modern Repeater plugin adds new features and an easy to use user interface that gives you a complete arsenal of delay effects at your disposal!

16 stereo multitap patterns, repetitions Hold switch, Sync to DAW function, modulation circuit, ducking and filter sections are only a part of the features of this incredible processor.

The delay circuit of the DELAY3000 Vintage Modern Repeater plugin has two separate voices for modern digital delay type FX or analog vintage sound.

The famous and unique Nembrini Audio’s distortion modeling is also included in the new DELAY3000 Vintage Modern Repeater plugin

The DELAY3000 Vintage Modern Repeater plugin has two separate custom tuned saturation circuits:

    • GRIT add body and tube saruration

    • SMEAR softens the attack of the repeats while maintaining full frequency response

The Ducking circuit is a very useful and practical mode to decrease the delay FX volume when the dry signal is playing. For example you can hear the delay tail only when the singer stop singing by simply turn two knobs. You can also add Chorus or Tremolo FX to the DELAY3000 tail and filter the effect output with a modulated resonant Low Pass Filter in Sync with your DAW.

The DELAY3000 Vintage Modern Repeater plugin is must have tool for every modern producer, musician and mixing engineer!

Works as a standalone app, AudioUnit v3 effect, or Inter-App Audio effect

Now that’s better screen size fixed. Full screen mode in CB3.

  • edited April 2020

It all looks weirdly squashed and stretched... is it filling the screen by doing a scale without keeping the aspect ratio fixed?

That really hurts my graphic design soul :o

I hope that can be disabled because I really can't look at that...

I must confess, I’m not as enthusiastic about my purchase as others seem to be...

    • The menu is just horrible on a touch device.
    • Controls are terrible. There seems to be an offset between where I touch and where it’s registered?
    • Non-native preset system.
    • Full screen mode causes some weird stretching of the UI.

It currently feels like a desktop app in mobile clothing...

All gripes aside, it sounds pretty good, so fingers crossed these issues get sorted and we see a few more TAL apps make their way to mobile.

    this means fixed? :D :D :D :D :D

  • Looks fine to me in NS2. I’m not discerning any stretching...

  • Yeah. It’s really stretched on my iPad Pro now. I prefer the way it used to look.

  • Standalone looks fine at least. Maybe my eyes are wonky this time in the morning !

It's his first app on a new platform, give him some slack.

    Hurts my eyes too :(
(and tap to enter value would be nice, very tricky to set pitch-bend depth to precisely 2 semitones etc.).

  • Yeah unfortunately it's been stretched not reformatted and the worst design crime being stretched fonts, you can at least keep it's original shape in AU mode though in AUM.

  • My biggest grip is selecting presets find that pretty fiddly wish make the action better.

You mean the switches look round to you and not oval? ;)

@brambos Now I woken up definitely oval!

  • the preset menu is not fun to dig around that’s my only complaint
