Great spontaneous collaboration @lukesleepwalker & @McD! It is very satisfying to see Piano Motifs being the base for some incredibly creative work.
A new version of Piano Motifs has been released to the iOS App Store. This new version has the following new features:
• Added ability to program chord progressions. Current implementation supports major and minor scales, with triad, sus2, sus4, 7th and add9 chords.
• Added new preset chord progressions.
• Added developer tip in-app purchases - thanks for your support!

Thanks @_ki ! The IAP purchases worked during beta, but they seem to be missing some information required by the App Store. I will fix this soon.

@azul3D_Apps Thanks for the new features. I did a quick test drive sending 2 variations into
AUM. One variation is a MIDI imported into Musk MIDI Player and the 2nd is Piano Motifs. Both variations are using the same chords.
Then a played a little GeoSWAM Flute over the top using GeoShred. I think this is a truly brilliant MIDI generator and it only gets better with each update. You're going to help us make a lot of music without even knowing that much about music theory.
@Mcd, always great to listen to your work. Was the MIDI imported into Musk also Piano Motifs generated? The flute improvisation is a great addition. Now we need @lukesleepwalker to layer a nice voice track on top.
I'll work on it! I hesitate to ask since it seems ungrateful given how great the new features are but what are chances you'll be able to include mixolydian and lydian in chord progression settings? I'll be hitting the tip jar!

Yes. I wanted to hear 2 Piano Motifs creations so I exported the 1st into Musk MIDI Player and then generated a 2nd and just played it from Piano Motifs. So, I didn't do anything except create the MIDI plumbing into AUM and choose voices for the tracks.
Since then I have imported some new creations into Cubasis 3 and StaffPad with 6 Piano Motif variations on a 16 bar chord progression.
Again... just plumbing and selecting the instrument to sound. Both Cubasis 3 and Staffpad crashed on me but with persistence I should get something done.
I think I'll focus on exporting Piano Motifs out to Xequence 2 and create AUv3 instrument rigs in AUM and record in AUM. That should be a lot more stable... I hope. Most of the DAW's are so damn buggy with MIDI. Xequence 2 is probably rock solid since it only handles MIDI.
I saw that update and was immediately excited
You can use the virtual AUM midi destination and have piano Motifs in background use atom to record notes, hit AUM play switch to motifs hit play.

Excellent! @azul3D_Apps : Just used the tip jar, now working here in the UK at least, to say thanks for the amazing addition of choose your own chord progressions to this marvellous generator. You make me sound a lot cleverer than I am
Please note that there is currently a crash when using accidental key signatures for programmed chord progressions. I apologize for this issue. A fix is coming very soon.
