No, it was inspired by OTT, which is a staple effect on desktop but strangely not available on iOS:

    :)

  • This with Mononoke gonna be interesting

  • I'm a big fan of giving synths an organic, natural flavour so this is definitely going to be something I'll check out. I already have a ton of these, so I'm curious about the USP here.

  • Anti-hype disclaimer: if you've never heard of OTT, you may not actually need it. If you do, this will give you the OTT experience in spades.

    B)

  • oh my! yes to this hot sauce

  • I'm a sucker for all kinds of 'expanders'.
The hidden Apple AUv3 (AUDynamicsProcessor) is really handy for 'cleaning up' sounds :)

  • Do I need this? Will I get this? :p

  • I don’t get it at this point. May need to check that link Bram posted. :)

  • Cheers! Is this like the Bark Filter app with “Tripleband” preset and limiter switched on?

  • Even a monday can’t have great news 😃

So does this mean your mad scientist experiment in Drambo will sadly come to an end? @tk32

  • Some sweet multi-band compression. Instabuy? Of course.

  • waiting for it
cuz i m a big fan of OTT:)
if you have a pc or a mac, until this is released, you can try

    Yes.

I realised that -despite what you sometimes hear on this forum- you can't recreate everything in Drambo

this looks great.. I can see the idea is to get a result quickly,, but can i ask .. are the 3 bands fixed or can the crossover frequencies be adjusted somewhere?

They're fixed to the magic numbers: 88.3Hz and 2.5KHz. That's one of the characteristics that makes it OTT.

  • Big release for iOS! Yes, OTT is recommended so often in dance music production discussions but it’s really an FX for all seasons and genres.

    Awesome.

For those who haven't heard of OTT (I suppose it's more a desktop-production phenomenon):

It's a multiband dynamics plugin with upwards and downwards blablablabla

    Here's what it really does:

    • It selectively slams the dominant parts of your sound
    • Instead it amplifies the quiet, subtle parts of the sound and blows them up to massive proportions.

    As a result:

    • all subtlety goes out the window
    • movement in your sound gets ridiculously emphasized (e.g. filter movement, phasing, timbre changes, FM movements, etc.)

That slightly vanilla synth bass suddenly becomes a rabid dog that bites your face off. E.g. it's how neurofunk and brostep get their insanely growly bass/lead sounds. But obviously you can use it for transforming any kind of sound.

Note: this is a heavy-handed special effect, not a subtle and transparent multiband editing tool. B)

Here's a link to the manual for those interested:
    http://ruismaker.com/wp-content/uploads/Woott_Guide.pdf

  • @brambos i was thinking maybe this has something to do with neurofunk
So, or got me at „neurobass“ 👊🏼🙃

  • This thing turns that puny bass into a wolf that eats your dick off and then buys you dinner afterwards. And that’s just the first date.

  • I now know how the black hole works.
    Can't wait to use this

  • Facehugger as preset. All i need to know ;)
