Looks and sounds a bit like FAC Bandit perhaps?

No, it was inspired by OTT, which is a staple effect on desktop but strangely not available on iOS:

    Quick history.
For anybody who doesn't know OTT = Over The Top.

First it was a preset in the Ableton multiband compressor, this is the original,
    it defined the name/term OTT

I’m pretty sure it didn’t. OTT as an abbreviation of Over The Top was in common use in the early 80s and the full expression probably originated in trench warfare in the Great War.

OTT as a preset for Ableton’s multiband compressor probably came some time after WWI, and that’s what most producers refer to when they’re talking about putting OTT on the effects chain B)

  • Wasn't OTT and 80's program in the UK with Chris tarrent
I was only a kid then

Thanks for the clarification. We were taught that it caused WWI in history class. Shoddy US public education system strikes again! 🙄

Nah.. WW1 was fought over the 440Hz vs 432Hz debate.
