I made the latest update, then played without a problem, then turned off the iPad, but now, on reload of my preset into AUM, sEGments just load infinitely and never pops up
Anyone else having this issue ?

How do you export the slices?
Yeah I had that before this update, think it's a sample problem in the preset you're using. Only way I fixed it was to reinstall Segments. I'm hoping we'll be able to get access to the documents in Files app in another update so we can backup presets and delete any problem samples etc
@ElliottGarage I updated the app today with the bug fix for invisible waveforms but I’m still getting invisible waveforms. What can I send you to check it out?

Noticed last night I can still replicate the screen cutoff bug, but only if I open AUM with the iPad in portrait mode, and then turn it to landscape. Can live with that as long as I remember not to do this.
@ElliottGarage when i close aum then reopen, the segment has a volume problem. it’s way down compared to what i have before closing and reopening aum....
on a side note, thanks for this app, i really enjoy it !
It's very simple really:
Open AUM, launch sEGments, wait forever...
sEGments can be launched alone (not into AUM) but that's it...I can't find my presets in this situation. (but I might not be looking in the right direction ?)
Just done making a video using sEgments in Cubasis 3 on iPadOS 14 beta.
I used 6 instances, one for melody, and the other 5 for drums with drag and drop.
Pretty solid.

@ElliottGarage hi there, how can we reset the sync/timing and warp?
I did a time sync and wasn’t able to reset the samples tempo back to its original even when I disabled sync and warp.
If you look at the YouTube video, around 7 minutes in, you can see what I’m talking about..

2.What is the gesture on screen to get the screen recording ? (with wifi / bluetooth on/off) I can't find it with the new iPad pro's.... (I know, really dumb questions...)

🤣🤣 don’t worry about that. we all lack knowledge in some way..
1.you need have Files App on the iPads dock.then slide the bottom of the ipad to bring up the dock.then long tap and drag files app to the side of the screen and leave it.
Follow this video for better understanding
2.you need to go to settings, control centre, then scroll till you find “screen recording “, once found, tap on the plus sign next to it.it will add screen recording to you control centre.
The to record, just slide the top right corner of the ipad, it will bring down the controls, you will see a an icon with 2 circles just tap on that and you will see it turn red, means its recording..you can long tap on that to also activate the iPads microphone, so you could record voice while screen recording.

So, this may be buried in the prior 20 pages of comments, but is there a way (or will there be a way) to input the actual tempo of an imported clip rather than sEGments assigning it?
In my case, I had a clip that was 110.0, but because a short tail was rendered in the .wav file, sEGments was saying it was 110.7, which made all the slices a bit off, and I couldn't figure out a way to tel sEGments it was actually 110.0.

Just click on tempo, then click on sync. It will match it to host tempo
Long press the tempo, you can set a number of beats, in your case that wont work obviously, but that is the only manual entry available to do with tempo.
Maybe an FR for manual entry of BPM on that dropdown is needed, we still cant set a root note either for keys mode yet.

Yeah there is very little manual entry in the app as yet, after managing to talk the developer in to it, and it being extremely good, hopefully we can get a few more manual entry things like tempo and root key etc.
But we also need some stuff outside the automagic stuff too, for instance, if there was a fine pitch control (not stretched) you could have manually tuned in your sample by using the number of beats in sync, and then fine pitch down a little to tune it in.

Up to now there is one thing I would wish to be implemented for a more playful and quicker way to interact with the samples ...
Would it be possible to make the “Rev” and “Loop/Shot” Buttons also available via the “all” function?
Sometimes it´s quite annoying to set/change them in all samples individually ... or is it possible already and i just don’t get it how to do it?

i feel like this app really needs trim controls for the audio file, i’m getting a lot of bugs in garageband and i suspect it’s because my audio file is too long, i’m using such a small portion of it, if only i could edit out what i don’t need
You can always trim in another app before you load it in. Audioshare is an essential app that allows you to trim.
Others have also recommended Auditor and Hokusai.
sure that’s a possibility but sometimes you’re not sure which regions you’ll be needing until you start making the slices and at that point you can’t go back without starting over.
Sorry if this was covered previously but is there any way to delete the current sample and record a new one? Just the init?
Anyone else still dealing with bugs in Cubasis? The last update didn’t fix my issues. I’m emailing with the dev, but am curious to see if there are others?

I’m running iPadOS 14 beta, Cubasis 3 on my ipad pro 11 2018.no issues so far
yes, crashing in cubasis 2 , basically not useable in that, extreme heating/cpu/battery drain in cubasis 3 on a 2nd gen pro 10.5.. more stable there but the power drain and cpu makes it not wise to play it much.. much better when the ui is in the background.
no automation possible in either cubasis’s’s’s.. this is standard for new apps due to the cubasis ‘reveal the automation when its been recorded’ thing , which i actually like except you always have to get devs to chat with @lfs to solve this on first release.
heat prob a bit better on 2nd gen pro 12.9.. useable there if you make sure you save the preset to get it back when returning to the project..
using it in Apematrix is ok on either machines..
it always seems strange to me that one of the premier daws has the most problems with new apps.. would have thought that was where the most beta testing would occur??
