  • Are You able to use start and stop command with AUM and Ableton link activated?

  • No I don't think start stop is working here either

  • Thank You. I will try the trick passing trough Audiobus first and then routing in AUM.

  • That was fast re: IAA. AU soon? Love FM drums, soooo debating.

  • Way to go @AllTheMachines ! 👊😀

No love. It doesn’t’ work my trick😂😂😂

  • skidmarks

  • great update!:) now it makes sense.
    thanks

  • It does indeed sound splendid running through aum with effects though...

  • I cant get this to open in ab3, and AUM doesn’t see it at all. Any advice folks?

Haven’t bought it yet, but have you rebooted your device? Usually clears up a lot of new app glitches.

  • Thnx, still no cigar! @MonzoPro

Strange, it loaded up straight away in aum for me, I had already played with it standalone but not in that session, and I hadn’t even opened it after force closing it from the previous time...

  • For me it is working both in AB and in AUM straight after the update.

Well, now it works in AUM... Bought! And trying it out as we speak. Looks cool, sounds great - not just a drum synth! I like. Skiid + Filterstep + DL01 + Chaos button + Maze Rider to keep it the right side of hairy = great fun. I like!

Here’s my first minute with it:

  • Deleted and reinstalled, now opening in both! Thnx guys

No problems here so far on iOS 13.5 on 12.9 2017 and Air 2

  • So no manual for this?

  • Clever and fun to use. The dev has been very reactive to implement connectivity and this is a good sign. AU is however mandatory (imo) for such an app where you have to "touch" everything to make the song evolve. Or you have a dedicated iPad...

@Gavinski : in app, hit the question mark top centre right for function explanations. I find it refreshingly easy to use.

  • Thnx, @Svetlovska, I only got a chance to play with it for a minute or two before bed last night, seems promising though

@AllTheMachines : loving your work! However, if I could add another request for future consideration, in addition to AU (and exposing all parameters so we can automate/modulate all the things, obviously, that is surely a given :) ) ? Might you consider a step time editing option for the sequencer? By which I mean let us move per step through it, and manually tweak all the parameters for each step as we go? The display is already there, sequencer below, sound parameters above, so all we need is to be allowed to adjust the settings at each beat. That would be excellent. Oh, and if you could find a way in app to allow us to record the xy pad automation gestures, even better! Thanks again for this great and creative device. :)

I second this, I didn’t realise the dev was in here so already sent a supportive support message mentioning this, great sounds, would be amazing to sequence them consciously! Many thanks also :)

  • @AllTheMachines This is a beautiful mutant! Nice work..

Great glitchy goodness. Having a lot of fun chopping up the screen recording audio of a sequence in sEGments as a work around for the current lack of connectivity.

Drone mode is really great also, but I think it could use finer filter control adjustments to smooth out the transitions a bit. ~~ EDIT: I found that, instead of using your fingertip to adjust the cutoff slider (which tends to make the sweeps a little choppy), rest the tip of your thumb on it and slowly rock It up and down. Works great.

it’s an excellent source of sample fodder to pipe into Koala with AUM. I just randomize the sound engine and use its built in sequencer , Sampling each random sequence into Koala to chop up and re-imagine..

    That’s brilliant!
If you have you can also use sEGments to sample the sh out of SKIIID 🙌🏼
    Very very clever man!

Hmmm....good point, might have to grab this tonight.

  • Yeah, I’ve been playing around with putting this output into segments, very nice!

  • Input of MIDI at all? Bought it, love the drone option, the randomizer (although undo would be nice), and the sweeping on the four pads, which reminds me of the KP3.

So, I guess, to the developer, I would say:

MIDI triggers for the four pads.

Recording/LFO for sweeping through the pad area, preferably with the choice of at any length, or by BPM. Think KP3 or elasticFX.

More chaos with some verb/glitch/delay fx.

Otherwise, a significant and fun addition to noise creation on the iPad! Well done!

So happy they added IAA. Now we can put sEGments in the effects slot in AUM and sample Skiiid’s output directly. What a blast this thing is!
