  • Anyone else getting this bug: a trigger on the step sequencer produces a sound 2 steps to early? To try to replicate, best just to put only one active step in the sequencer and see if it sounds prematurely. The dev has already acknowledged this as a bug, though he himself isn't getting it on his device. Would he useful for him to have more info on which devices / systems are affected.

  • Not seeing this on iPad 2019 iOS 13 or iPad Air 1 iOS 12

  • Thnx for checking Anickt - what a minefield iOS is for developers, with all these different behaviours on different devices and iOS's.

@AllTheMachines : Has the update to IPad OS 13.6 broken Skiiid for AUM? Still works fine for me standalone, but since I updated the OS yesterday there is now no sound in AUM from Skiiid on my IPad Air 2018, whether opened directly or via Audiobus, regardless of whether I start it first outside of AUM. I hope you can resolve this, as Skiiid is one of my new fave apps, and I only use apps inside AUM... Side note: I am getting very fed up with Apple, every single new ‘update’ breaks some blasted thing or another, sometimes irreparably, and they just don’t give a damn.

@AllTheMachines sad news. Also here it doesn’t works anymore (iPad pro 12.9, 2020, iOS 13.6). Fuck auto update and fuck Apple broken thing😂😂😂

  • @AllTheMachines
    Two problems:
    1. First launch SKIIID. It works, both sequencer and Drone mode.
    2. Open Aum, loading SKIID which is already running results in no sound.
    3. Close SKIIID, launching from AUM, it sounds again, drone and sequencer.
    4. As long as You click play in Aum, drone mode in SKIIID disappear and works only sequencer.
    5. Before iOS 13.6 it was fine.

@Svetlovska could you also try like this and eventually confirm?

  • Here is a little video.

  • Hey would this run on a 5th gen iPad? I am used to only using like 2 apps at a time so I ask....I mean basically run without audio hiccups or trying to fly a plane with old barnstormer. Thanks

  • Late commer... but boy oh boy am I loving dis! Works best once you start designing your own kicks, snares and perc etc.

  • I really like the copy to next step function but has anyone figured out how to copy a step to any other step? (ie to design a nice kick or whatever and then use that wherever in the sequence)

At first I thought what? It is dead simple, save a kick that you have made or generated, that will appear in the save box with some name like BD-0985 then you simply load that into a sequence slot and.... What? The original sound remains and does not get loaded over... weird. I thought surely it would stamp over a sound, I mean why give the ability to save and then not load? It will load over any sound using Factory so why not User?
As you have already stated it will paste onto the next slot but then you would rarely want to do that.

Anyone else figured this out yet?

  • Wouldn’t it be great to be able to chose say a four on the floor by clicking on the slots in the sequencer and then being able to load a user or factory made sound into the appropriate slots?

  • Here’s a cool trick, load Rozzeta Rythmn into midi slot in Aum. Route the Midi back into Rozzeta Scaler. Route Scaler into Skiid. You can then generate rythmn which you can move a semitone or more in Rythmn and this forces Skiid to stwitch sounds instantly, great for happy accidents.

  • Someone has to come up with a good tutorial video. I'm all confused. There is too much going on at the same time, haha.

I’d say it’s simply an oversight by the dev since you can load factory sounds into the steps of the sequencer. Has anyone contacted @AllTheMachines about it? Direct contact is always more likely to get to the dev than a post here.

  • Just saying, in my experiments, using Fugue Machine into Skiiid and having the four midi triggers running at different intervals works wonders. Also, inverting one is pretty cool. Notes are C5, C#5, D5, and D#5.

I have reached out to the dev how kindly wrote back - You need be be in sequence mode and have the white selection box highlighted over the slot in the seqeunce you wish to load the user preset.
Sounds easy but in this mode unfortunately I can only load factory sounds... is this the same for everyone?

I was a little confused because I thought the parameter display would update when loading a sound into sequencer. It doesn’t but the sound does load. However I can only get Factory sounds to load, not User.

Did this get sorted? I’m still on 13.3 but need to update to at least 13.4 to install something else but 13.6 seems like the only choice I’m able to make on the update page...

  • Extra nice nice

  • Definitely / first session will feature at least 4 of those running
