I jumped, but I just can’t seem to get anything even approaching a usable sound out of this. I’ve had it since page 1 and I keep trying, but everything I do sounds absolutely horrible.

I was afraid of this. Thanks for posting, will control my SAS. 🤣🤣🤣

  • @Lil_Stu07 Bear in mind that it’s more likely to be me at fault than the app.

Everything I've seen on here and YouTube has been just distortion out of this. I think thats what's it's made for. No one has managed to get anything out of this but distortion. Which is fine, just not for me. Looks cool, but not my style.

  • Just got updated to universal

  • Yeah, you either like this sound or don't! If u don't like what u heard in vids, just avoid it, cos that's what it sounds like. Someone mentioned probs with AU interface? Last I tried it was working fine!

The UI issue I was referring to is with the sequencer when programming steps. You select a step and hit 'param' to edit it. All your changes will be ignored unless you first change step selection and then back.
There is another host sync related issue, but it's changed now with variable pattern length. Once I can reproduce it, I'll let you know.

Thanks so much for the answer👍

Quick question: does the sequencer on this one work when it is hosted as an AUv3, or does it require an external MIDI sequencer? (for example, Noir can still use its own sequencer when used as an AUv3, but MV08 needs external sequencer...)

    Thanks in advance!

The sequencer works on the AU. No need for an external midi sequencer

Can somebody confirm or tell me:

In the Video of the DEV it looks as if you can’t see the pads and/or sequencer together (at the same time) with the parameters in one window - while using the app as an AUV3. Is this correct? Or has something changed about this in the last updates ...

Cause this feels a bit weird for me ... that you can’t have the same view in the AU as in the standalone ...

Yup, not the same view as standalone BUT everything is still tweakable because you do have access to each pad/sequence step while looking at the main parameters.. this is the biggest usable window size that you’ll get in AUM.. of course you can see each individual section by itself when you don’t need to edit the parameters..
    easier to see here..

Ah, ok, cool - that wasn’t clear to me by seeing the short video - thanks ... helps me to decide - since I was on the fence because of that question . ..

  • @AllTheMachines just bought skiiid and I really like it. It would be beyond cool if there was a midi note assigned to each of the 10 strips that are playable on each of the 4 pads. So instead of 4 midi notes, use 40 to cover all the touch strips on the 4 pads as they morph. Any chance or plans of adding something like this? It would make sending midi in so much cooler.

Thisssssss...... ! Or just like 4 touch points per pad.... I like 16 because of controllers. But why not both?!

  • Skiiid is really awesone in drone mode <3

I've added some sound processing to it and added a convolution reverb with a custom IR, after this it is just a big playground for endless textures by fingerdrumming the 4 pads

  • Just picked this up in the sale. Awesome sounds! Just been prodding pads and random buttons. Even if that were all it were, I'd be happy. But alas…there’s more ;)

  • just picked this up. playing with it on iphone. but where is the sequencer at?
