Yup, not the same view as standalone BUT everything is still tweakable because you do have access to each pad/sequence step while looking at the main parameters.. this is the biggest usable window size that you’ll get in AUM.. of course you can see each individual section by itself when you don’t need to edit the parameters..
easier to see here..
Ah, ok, cool - that wasn’t clear to me by seeing the short video - thanks ... helps me to decide - since I was on the fence because of that question . ..
@AllTheMachines just bought skiiid and I really like it. It would be beyond cool if there was a midi note assigned to each of the 10 strips that are playable on each of the 4 pads. So instead of 4 midi notes, use 40 to cover all the touch strips on the 4 pads as they morph. Any chance or plans of adding something like this? It would make sending midi in so much cooler.
Thisssssss...... ! Or just like 4 touch points per pad.... I like 16 because of controllers. But why not both?!
Skiiid is really awesone in drone mode
I've added some sound processing to it and added a convolution reverb with a custom IR, after this it is just a big playground for endless textures by fingerdrumming the 4 pads
Just picked this up in the sale. Awesome sounds! Just been prodding pads and random buttons. Even if that were all it were, I'd be happy. But alas…there’s more
just picked this up. playing with it on iphone. but where is the sequencer at?

Old projects will be broken in AUM, apeMatrix, etc., so don't update if you don't want that.
And here's what it looks like on the iPad Pro 10.5":

And on the iPhone 13:

I emailed the dev. This is a great 'sample fodder' app for IDM/Glitch/Noise, like ID700, Fractal Bits, etc.
Noooooo! 😱
I should always check here first before updating! Was excited as I use this app a lot.
great update and features.
hope he fixes the interface - it's a mess...:(
You cant get note midi from a controller when in a host ( Aum or Drambo )
It can only recieve note midi in standalone.
Whats their email ?
Il probably just sample ( although I built a pad controller for it ) Now would have to use screen instead.
Not much point in making parameters midi mappable if you cant trigger pads via midi ( unless you make a wave-y drone )
He released a new update today. Seems to have fixed most of the issues, though I haven't had time to test it thoroughly. But to answer your question, his contact is https://all-the-machines.com/contact/. Have fun.
Thats weird.
I know I updated it on an ipad.
Even if a false memory.
Because of ( just now ) issue.
I checked app store ( just now ) to see if it were the ipad Id updated.
App store said open app.
So assumed it were the app/ipad id updated.
Iv just read your post.
Went back to app store and theres an update, where midi is fixed ( but it were working last time Id used )
Perhaps its an additional update.
As it goes.
Its still no midi.
I keep thinking its working but its the standalone app triggering.
Are you using AUM? In AUM>MIDI CTRL>SKIIID - there's lots of parameters there.
I just tested edit with Rozeta LFO, lots of fun.
Although the update suggest midi mappable pads.
These arnt in a hosts parameters list ( Aum or Drambo )
Just mean the natural note input anyway ( 60-63 ) of app.
In standalone it recieves these but not now in hosts ( it could recieve note midi before update )
You cant trigger the pads.
So you cant sequence the app and p lock/automate parameters.
Although my only gripe were making a controller to trigger app for sampling.
I always did wish for au parameters to be available ( now the trigger pads arnt )
The note input is still there in standalone.
But not in hosts.
So although I just wanted to sample without touching screen ( an external controller )
More importantly you cant sequence the app without triggers or p lock etc.
( youtube cuts of start of video )
The standalone app is triggered via a controller but can in aum or Drambo.
Oh, that's a bummer. I tested up and down the keyboard, MIDI channels 1 & 10, no luck.
Use his contact form in the link above.
Thanks for testing.
Iv messaged the dev.
New update. Pads can be played starting with C4 (MIDI note 60 in AUM). @sigma79
Legends.
Thanks ES and Dev.
Hey everyone — Stephan here (SKIIID developer).
Thanks for the reports and patience around the v1.5 update. A few notes:
The v1.5 rewrite was a big one — the entire audio engine and AUv3 layer were rebuilt from scratch to support multi-instance and proper state saving. The downside is that old AUv3 sessions won't load the new version correctly (sorry gusgranite — I know that's painful).
v1.5.1 went out within 24 hours to fix the MIDI note input in hosts. Pads now respond starting at C4 (MIDI note 60). Thanks sigma79 for the detailed report and video — that made the fix straightforward.
What's new in v1.5:
If you hit any other issues, the contact form at all-the-machines.com/contact goes straight to me. I try to turn fixes around fast.
Happy to answer any questions here too.
Thanks Dev.
Appreciate app and quick fix.
YAY. Now I dont have to sample SKIID (as much)
