If I save preset inside LK matrix and name him eg preset 1, than - after some work I save this preset again (not save as) - this preset is duplicated (on the preset list there are multiple "preset 1" presets. iPad air 2 ipados 14.0.1

By the way, AUM session state keeps all LK state. When LK is hosted, you can simply rely on the host state saving.

    • Shift + Selection appends notes to selection
    • Note velocity is now independent for each note unless Shift is pressed

in the new beta is some really usefull additions to the note tools 😊👍

Thanks for your feedback Mr. @White!

@White now we have time shift depending on the grid quantization. The other time shift was depending on other notes. It would work with a single note.

Would you consider a shift button action for the Time Shift left and right buttons to allow for nudging notes in tiny increments? This is really helpful for adding some groove to sequencing, and getting things just a little off the grid.

  • I would love to have a swing slider

That's actually a nice idea. Let see how it works.

We do plan to add swing controls.

  • We have released LK 1.8.2 with the following changes:

    • New notes operations
    • Break down of clip inspector into sections
    • Added chord and melody generation tools
    • Fixed mute state on solo tracks change
    • Fixed recording to multiple armed tracks
    • Shift + Selection appends notes to selection
    • Note velocity is now independent for each note unless Shift is pressed
    • Improved restore state
  • Great update thanks, love the new generate features and the mutate follow actions on notes - don’t think Ableton even has these 😀

  • Great update! Inspector looks much better organized. Note mutate follow actions, generate melodies/notes, note tools!
Also mute/solo and record multiple are fixed!

  • @sinosoidal

You are doing a great job with LK 👍

I have been using it intensely this weekend and the workflow is very smooth 😊

From managing clips to editing midi, everything works really well.

@White, I'm curious about your artistic work with LK. Hoping that you could share a video showing your work one day!

  • Yes, great update. It's much more creative to use now :)

  • Fantastic update!

Brilliant stuff. My LP Pro MK3 is waiting.

  • @sinosoidal LPX or LP MKII support?

Right now we are doing it for Akai Apc Mini. We have an Apc Keys 25 as well. In order to support more we might need to purchase them. We will probably start with the more popular first.

Amazing because I bought a Pro Mk3 last night and was wondering if I would be able to get it work with LK!!!

    Who need Push, or Live?

@sinosoidal - fantastic updates recently - you've really elevated this app into becoming an essential compositional performance tool - tremendous work!

Is there a way to sync clip recording to AUM as host?

I'm trying to take advantage of the count in that AUM has, for recording into LK with another AU controller.

Edit Never mind, it syncs... User error. :p

  • @sinosoidal -

A couple of suggested features for LK:

    1. A colour correlation on the pull up tab below that opens the midi clip for editing so that it is possible to see which midi clip is being edited.

    2. Add a snapshot feature to capture all the current midi CC fader configurations on the page and a means to interpolate from one snapshot to another - with the option of choosing the morph/transition speed - this would enhance the performative aspects of LK. Snapshots quickly stored on the fly using the Up arrow in bottom right.

  • Yeah I like those suggestions, also I hope there might be plans to allow midi triggering of scenes @sinosoidal :)

This are actually good suggestions and we will keep them in mind.

I personally dont like the idea of the UI become a xmas tree, but I think we could find a way of display the color of the clip in a discrete and usefull way.

By the way, we have been wondering ourselves if the community makes use of the viewport navigator that is on the toolbar. Because it takes a lot of usefull space that could be useful for other things.

It makes all the sense. We will find a way!

By the way, what controllers are you using?

    Great :)

My controllers currently include a Push2, a Livid base, X-touch mini and akai MPD218.

You mean the view of the whole clip? I think it's useful as it helps identify the clip as you an see the whole midi pattern, and especially useful on moving around larger clips. I would miss it personally.

@sinosoidal Quick question: what is the upside of the scenes starting without a clip in them? To me it’s just an extra thing I need to do every time I want to make something new. (Love the app, by the way, it’s amazing to have this amazing clip launcher available in whichever app I’m currently noodling).

In version 1.8.2 we have added the ability to create empty clips on a new track but after some usage it feels weird because when we have already something going on with several scenes, creating a new track creates empty clips for all slots in the track which becomes confusing.

I'm actually thinking in doing a regression here and take this feature out.
