Can highly recommend the new Mellopiano and Pianoatmos IAP they just sound so beautiful.
I got the first piano one, strings and they both sound great.
Greatapps!
Any chance moodscaper and touchscaper becoming Auv3. Would be so much more convenient
I’m really enjoying this app. @moodscaper please keep sampling your gear! It’s a brilliant idea. I really appreciate the effort.
The soft piano is beautiful!
+1
thanks for the tip!
i may have an older aum version because the context bar pops up but it doesn’t keep what i type into it. oh well not a moodunits issue i’ll contact that dev 😎
i just had to download the factory instruments... where they not included in previous versions? i thought i had those already
This changed in 1.4.0, from the "what's new"
• pre-installed factory sounds have been replaced with a "lite" version
Where did my factory sounds go? Don't worry - those sounds are now available as a FREE download from the MU Store, accessible from the main moodunits app. The "lite" factory sounds are 30 variations of the Saw 1 and Square 1 samples and are all brand new patches. In other words, there are now 80 factory sounds in total!
Why did this happen? Prior to this version, every time you updated the app, you were downloading the original factory sounds, and that's a lot of data. With this new version, simply update the app (don't delete the previous version) then download the factory sounds from the MU Store - they're free, you know! Now the original factory sounds are on your device - you don't need to download them again unless you delete the app and its data. Downloading and updating the app is now going to be much faster as it's much, much smaller.
ahh thank you man, i usually read the updates but sometimes i don’t haha! i think it auto updated. anyway thanks for the extra sounds and for clearing this up! i’m working on a song that’s pure MU 😎 well it’s more of a couple loops tied together but i think it’ll sound cool!
@moodscaper literally in love with latest guitar sounds. Thanks so much.
Thank you so much! I had fun doing those - I think I used every fuzz pedal I own...
Did you check out the Halloween demo?

Yes, Micheal Mayers memories Made me buy the iap 🤣
I’m guessing you have to be on iOS 14? I saw the Fuzz Guitar Pack in the App Store In App Purchases. I went to the app and the guitar pack was/is not available in the in-app store. I just checked again. I’m on iOS 13.7.
iOS 13.7 here.
You need to update the app to the latest version (1.4.4) too I'm afraid for the moodunits app to recognise the new instruments. Minimum iOS is 13.0 for everything. No need to delete the app, just update it, and all should be good.
If you see "waiting" during a download, best to wait before you kick another one off, like 10-20 seconds sometimes before you see it's in progress. For some reason, this is glitchy on iOS 13.x, but less so on 14.x
- I haven't seen that issue on 14.x, yet...
I just had the update come through. And I check it several times a day. So maybe just a delay
Update with 3 new guitar type sound sets is out.
@moodscaper latest three sounds pack are astonishing. Thanks so much.
Thanks @Charlesalbert!
In case anyone's curious about the new sounds, they're "clean electric" guitar samples, and also a couple of E-Bow based ones - one is quite "pure" with the E-Bow guitar recorded dry / DI'd, but also has the option to have multi-tracked / stacked versions with a bit of stereo spread. The other E-Bow set all have reverb and modulation pre-applied and they've come out sounding quite string / orchestral like, but have a bit of that E-Bow "Edge". Speaking of U2... (ahem...) I did a little GarageBand doodle demo using some of the new sounds:

@moodscaper keep up the good work! Having fun with the new bits and bobs...
@moodscaper I love the Ebow samples (I occasionally use an Ebow with my guitar, yours is easier to control
)
One feature request if I may: now that there is an extensive selection of instruments in Waverley I would prefer it if by default each instrument category was collapsed when the plugin is launched, otherwise it's a lot of scrolling!
Great to hear that you like them! That sample session was quite a challenge. As you probably know, it's not that easy to get the sounding note to stay on the fundamental, especially on the lower notes - it tends to want to go off onto some other harmonic - usually the 5th and / or octave above. Great when you're playing, not so great when you're sampling!
Nice idea - I'll add that to the list. Maybe if there are more than say two groups - something like that?
@JohnnyGoodyear - cool to hear, thanks, and will do!
That u2 cover was dope. I really like the guitar sounds
That must have been maddening
That sounds good, so yes please!
Like the clean guitar sounds! Using a few ones here, layered in 1 oberdubbed Gauss loop recorded at two different speeds
Love the EBow sounds!
Really digging the new sounds, I’ve been reaching for this more often than most apps lately. Such little setup and I can get my ideas out real quick in the moment rather than having to set a bunch of shit up and then losing my idea
Yeah, there are a lot of great sounds in Moodunits, also love the convenience of it, no arsing around, very easy to find a sound you like.
Thanks for the new presets - love the cleanelectric and the Ebowpacks - also the Mellopiano from the release before is a very lovely preset pack —-
Just two things ... to add/ask ...
can we get a „dry“ version of the Mellopiano? Dry in the sense of less/no reverb/space ...
in the BasicBass presets - all of the presets do carry a weird very high buzzing/hiss behind the actual sound - is this intended to sound like this or did something go wrong or am I doing something wrong? Did anyone else notice this?
