Also, what would be the point of loading 2 IRs into a cab? Is it basically the equivalent of using two different mics in different positions?
I wrote to them and they will fix it, so temporary indeed. Once I get the new pack (still deciding desktop or just iOS) I will give a full report. I agree that the fuzz pedals are a major weak spot in the collection, the pedal I use for “fuzz” is actually the Fat Muff, rather than their fuzzes. I also find that some of he heavily textured presets have a wooly quality I like, in lieu of a fuzz. Otherwise, it’s Nembrini Fuzz all day and all night. But hopeful for this new one.
I really like their stock reverb and delay pedal that’s almost in every preset, and the blue chorus pedals are nice.
There are many reasons to load multiple IRs. I usually do just one. But there is software on desktop where you can load like 8 at once, and of course you can run several instances of Thaf for that too. You can also run like 5 th-u cabinet modules in a row too so however many you want.
So there are the sliders there where you can adjust the 45 degree angle or the rear. That’s an option. But yeah like you say, it about running two different cabs or mics positioned as you want. But here’s the thing: if you own the OwnHammer IRs or others, you will notice that some of them are coded “sweet spot” or “rear” or “side” etc... so the point is you can load two IRs one rear and one front and mix them, or you can load two different speakers completely for a blend. It’s common to have an mixed IR, even Thafknar has implemented a primary and secondary IR load that they auto mix.
So yeah you can be one guy with one amp and one cab. That’s authentic. But you can also run dual cabs or mixed cabs like a wizard, and if I were to do that I wouldn’t adjust settings, I’d rather load a front and a rear, or a cone edge plus a room etc... hope that helps!
You can run a dual amp with the splitter and two separate mono IRs, you can have a different stereo image where on IR is dark and has one fx and another is bright and has another fx. Just so many options, too many really. But people love running multiple IRs for that enveloping feeling. I’m actually happy with one close micd mono IR, usually.
As @Daveypoo demonstrated in one of his vids, you can add a bit of extra realism by using the close-mic'd IR and room or rear-mic IR when you have IR sets that have those. Sometimes when recording guitar amps/speaker cabs, engineers will mic that back of the cab and mix it in to capture some frequencies that don't make it out the front.

I got the ‘60s pack on desktop today, and the iOS version for one dollar. But out of nowhere I’m also experiencing what appears to be tendinitis in my fretting wrist, so I haven’t had a chance to try it.
Taking it easy for a few days, my wife says “no guitars, and no masturbaring”, but she already says that every day.

I got the Moderna COVID vac a couple days ago and woke-up with a sore arm and a swollen thumb.
The thumb hurts bad enough it kept me up the past few nights — so painful I can’t grasp a pick.
So I’m with you on guitar IR. Not being able to experience the Nembrini 30, Dave’s newest Anniversary test fight, or the improved Klon is killing me. When I do recover, I’ll have to be prepared to wrap my bloody hands...
The 60s collection is good and seem to follow, in my opinion, the rigs Choptones has been releasing lately. The RR Marshall, etc.
The Nembrini Vox is the best one they've released.

The Nembrini people apparently don't understand the allure of a very powerful, clean amp.
I think they are aware of it,but I also think they know that’s it is not what sells best😉.
While they are a little fiddly to set up as clean amps, you can get great clean sounds out of their amps but the knob ranges are such that the gain or volume needs to be set VERY low and the output knob used. On some of the amps (like the Soundmaster), the volume/gain might need to be set to less than 1.
It takes some getting used to, but on most of the amps the sound is there.
A swollen thumb due to the vaccine? Wow. That’s new. I’ll be getting Pfizer shot tomorrow, which seems to be the most effective and has the fewest side-effects.
Yeah, not sure if it was a result of the vaccine or not, but I read joint pain is a rare side-effect. Most side effects seem to occur after the second dose — not first.

Even though there’s a “fix” for getting clean as mentioned above, I still agree.
I got the 60s pack mostly for the Binson emulator. Lean amount of amps + cabs and also presets. None of them tickled my fancy save for the Vox 15 a little...but I still don’t feel like I needed it. Satisfaction fuzz continues to show they just can’t nail down fuzz. The Echorec is not nearly as beautiful as I’d hoped (even allowing for it being software), although there are a couple of sweetspots. Very difficult to dial in the swell to where it’s almost not fading or feeding back. I expected more from it based on the quality of the Symphonic 90.
All in all, decent but uninspiring bundle. For a newcomer, I’d definitely recommend going with one of the other (much, much fuller) packs for the same price (I started with the funk/R&B one and it’s great, pretty much covering all my needs). Unless you’re just dying to recreate a few Beatles songs and some other 60s staples.

Lol thanks for the update @oat_phipps , surprised to hear this about the Echoson especially considering Overloud sells it as a single on the desktop for $110! Apropos of that, I really hope they port over some of their non-guitar stuff to iOS, like the Gem Voice plugin bundle and some of the compressors/limiters/EQs.
Too bad about the fuzz but you’re right I don’t like their other ones either, they’re just not fuzzy and wooly enough! More like a weak distortion.
I agree the funk bundle is great, and the recommended choice for a starter if not planning to get the full. I will say though that besides the new components in the ‘60s pack, the included pre-existing components like Amp Trem, plexi voice 2, tube 9, rss, Chr-2, are some of the best from the full collection. I’ll give the pack a shot in the next few days.

Don't get me wrong, it's good, just not great or anything approaching the 90. I know you're against buying single components, but it's definitely worth the $5 a la carte iOS price.
‘60 pack has been tested, and it is ok, with a few notably excellent exceptions, and some disappointments as well. I got a code for the desktop which let me get the iOS for a buck, I think Overloud would be smart to feature this pack as an occasional free promotion when you buy the full. Because at the end of the day it just makes more sense as a free upgrade. Getting the $1 iOS version is seamless, basically since you’re logged on both devices it automatically switches the price. One thing to keep in mind is that even though it appeared for a buck on my phone I had to “restore purchase” on the iPad for the carryover. Most importantly, I’m so glad that I’m using th-u iOS. On my Dell laptop, it frankly looks like some ms-dos rollercoaster tycoon level software, and choppy as hell too. Maybe it’s my laptop though it is a new-ish fast one, but it’s just so much better and faster on iOS. I would assume the mac version is also better.
Anyway, about the components. The best part of the pack is the new “Analog Boost” pedal. It’s amazing. It’s like an overdrive plus treble booster plus maybe a compressor. I put it in front of everything, even some rigs, and it did magic. Really nice overdrive, but also great attack and sustain when cranked, like a boost pedal that’s also puffy. It’s on the list as a top 5 overdrive for me, and top 2 inside th-u.
Marshall 1959 sim with matching white cab sounds stellar, and the Plexi voice 2 (which already existed in the full) is uncanny, they really got that emulation right. So satisfying. The Vox 15 is good, but didn’t wow me. Some nice amp controls, jangle and reverb, but not the best EQ per se. The 66 SRev didn’t do it for me, doesn’t remind me of the amp.
The pre-existing tube 9, rss comp, chr-2, amp trem, all great. The rest of the amps are whatever. The full has some worse ones and many better ones, but that 1959 is the best of the new additions.
@oat_phipps the fuzz is weak, only usable sound there is if it’s completely maxed. Also totally agree about the echoson, it just sounds unpleasant and doesn’t work at all with any of the presets. In fact, many presets with reverbs or echoson were heavy handed, fizzy, set weirdly. There definitely was a sweet spot for the echoson when I loaded it by itself and played around. But overall it’s a miss.
While there are some truly excellent sims in the collection (Brunetti, Randall, DVMark, etc..), I’m reminded that the rigs do sound better. One can get great results from both roads. The effects are stellar and extensive though, with maybe 10% being misses.
Yeah not a fan of it, I agree. But loved the new analog boost and 1959RR.
@oat_phipps many of the presets seemed fake and fizzy this time around, maybe it’s the 60s thing, but I think it was the heavy use of reverbs and binson.
The symphonic 90 is $15 just by itself, so it’s not just better it’s also priced as being better.
Sounds like we're in about 100% agreement. I forgot to mention the amp highlight that is the '59 RR. And thank you, because I TOTALLY MISSED the Analog Booster. Unbelievable. Until I was 30 (35 now), I couldn't give a shit about anything technical about guitar or tones or gear, I just wanted to play. Funny now that I've grown to 8, but I used to just run a classic Tele through this magic Treble/Boost my producer friend had into a DD-6 and out into a Peavey Classic 30. Perfect '77-81 classic rock/power pop/new wave overdriven sound with bite and sparkle galore. That was all I needed...and honestly, it still could be. But my interest in sound and tone finally kicked in.
And Lole about Rollercoaster Tycoon. I literally just downloaded the classic version for iOS because hey it's Friday night at a quarter to one and I'm half-drunk. Cheers! Gonna go hire a bunch of janitors off the bat...I hate that puke gettin' everywhere.

th-u is just so fast and pretty on iOS, it was a shock to see it hobbling along on my laptop. I have to assume the mac version is better, or there’s something terribly wrong with my laptop. But it was like Oregon trail level fonts and chop.
I would almost agree about the rigs being superior. And overall they are, even though they definitely require more eq adjustments per guitar, but my absolute favorite combo above all else has been the Mesa Mark ii into an Alnico Tweed Cab (I think both came with the Funk pack). Run the Magic Death Eye compressor into the app, then a Blues Driver, DS-1, Symphonic 90, the delay stomp and the plate reverb and I'm in heaven. Funny it sounds a lot like the 80s. (Though the DS-1 is pretty damn heavy-handed. The Drive knob seems to have no effect, only full-blast. So I've kinda taken to the Brunetti Burning Man.)
Next time I play I'm gonna replace that Blues Driver with the Boost and drag out the laptop to finally load some of my Ownhammers in there.

However, I have full faith in your abilities, and thank you both for the excellent tips on the various Overloud options.
I redid some settings on my Dell laptop and th-u appears to run much faster now. The fonts and resolution still seem visually outdated compared to iOS, but it’s encouraging nonetheless that components are now moving seamlessly and presets are switching quickly. It is a bit more feature rich on desktop, but certainly more instantly satisfying and visually pleasing on iOS.
sorry for a beginner question - how many presets I will see after purchasing TH-U FULL?
If I want as close to authentic surf and spaghetti western sounds, which pack or rig should I try? The genres mentioned, if it isn't widely known, use heavy spring reverb and tremolo for surf........ and well, go listen to Morricone/Leone soundtracks for nasty, biting clean tones. Not sure what type of reverb they used in those soundtracks. Plate?
I've tried most of the modelers on IOS and THU came out on top specifically for the free Fender Twin amp.
