I'm all in with Drumcomputer. I think I'll find it more likeable than many of my beat programming apps in the sense that the workflow, randomization, probability and import of samples are all winners for me. Sold. Like the 8 pads and the look of the app too. Sugar Bytes always has loads of modulation capabilities. It is everything I wish Elastic Drums was and totally isn't.
I'm just having a laugh. SB can called it unparalleled in the known and unknown universe for all I care. Of course and as always, one musician's game changer is another musician's meh.
My only wish... other than an effective and globally swiftly available COVID-19 vaccine...
is that both the terms “game changer” and “instabuy” are finally retired forever and cast down into the blazing pits of hell.
Sounds like a title from a movie made in the 60’s.
Heh, it does kinda.
I’m no longer going to get excited for anything less than a paradigm shifter.
👍
Drumcomputer does look sweet but now it just makes me pine for one of my timeline based iOS hosts to get AU Multi-out support. It never ends!
No other DAWs support it yet?
I think that comes in liquid or tab form rather than as an app.
None of the timeliners I own do and I don’t want to get into another one. Maybe multitrack studio something something or other.
@McD @LinearLineman
Could it be a v2.0 of Plectrum that’s the October surprise? 😆
That is SO true

I am a collector of shimmer-reverbs
😂😂😂😂
Doug produced a good review of the desktop version.
@enkaytee won the competition, as the first mention DrumComputer. Congratulations
I’ll pass on Dum Computer since my iPad Air 2 is too slow for that app (A8X with 3 cores running at 1.5Ghz).
how many drumcomputers does the world need - it's just like the 1 000 000 000 distortion pedals for guitarists 😉
Keep your game changers and paradigm shifts. I’m holding out for a quantum leap. (As in a very, very small incremental improvement in a thing. Much misunderstood concept.) That way, I won’t be disappointed
I'd like a free copy of the app seeing as it's not gonna be cheap...!
@Svetlovska Quantum leap is rarely used in scientific contexts, but it originated as a synonym of quantum jump, which describes an abrupt transition... much much misunderstood concept 🙃
@mlau. Yes. In the smallest indivisible thing. Nothing quite like having to defend a punchline to make a joke really fly
. I’m here all week.
so basically a big jump ... @Svetlovska
to make a significant improvement or dramatic advancement
to develop something massively in a short time
@mlau. I guess it is all a matter of perspective. (Pause for explanation of relativity.)
Now that would makes us all rethink!
As it’s sugarbytes that probably means not universal right?
Having read all the speculation on this thread I went to bed thinking 'i hope it's drumcomputer' and now it seems like it is. I really would have struggled to get excited about another synth. Hooray for epoch shifts!
Yup. I don't think any Sugarbytes stuff is universal. Aren't they usual direct desktop ports?
Y’all got me searching the App Store for it.
Ok. This thing really has potential to change game for me ... it depends on how intuitive will be workflow, but i can see how i can incorporate this into my DT/DN setup to free DT from drums and use it more for melodic stuff .. so far, looks really cool ! Looking forward to this thing, hope it's UI will be more responsible than horrible Egoist ..
