That’s what I’m talking about // pure experimental madness
DC sort of looks like like Tremor, which changed my game unti Fxpansion abandoned it. I feel like the number of drum synths is a lot smaller than the number of drum samplers
So I need a game changer in my life today. Is this it???? 😂😂
Is it out yet?
I loved Tremor so much, amazing percussion synth with so many modulation options. It's such a shame they don't maintain it any more
Feel the same. I feel like as a DR 008 owner I should have learned my lesson with Fxpansion. Enough about that, this has become a SugarBytes thread. 🙂
Given the number of controls on DC I do wonder about the size of controls.
Yes

Although I probably shouldn't talk about it until release as it seems the webpage wasn't live in the first place, it's online but hidden from view and this thread has forced discussion a bit prematurely.
If you haven't signed an NDA, you're perfectly within your rights to talk about it!
release it ffs
That's the desktop DrumComputer page. The App Store link (which @GrimLucky pointed out goes to Aparillo) is on their DrumComputer iPad page, which doesn't seem to be linked to from anywhere else on their website, presumably because it's not live yet.

life is game
no its not. now, where fk is this app?
I hate the game. But not the player.
so is this it? is this the app of the hype? i hope so
Oh I know and I haven't, this is just out of politeness and seems good manners
DrumComputer will be an entertaining treat. Any Sugar Bytes app is a big deal, and their iOS ports have been better and better. Looperator. But not a game changer.
An expensive game changer would be some established app running on both Mac and iPad with a single purchase. Ableton.
I could do that with IAA apps that support multi-out (patterning and poly2 at one point) but don’t think there is a way to do it with multi-out AUs.
But even that wouldn't be a "game changer" for some. So such a thing doesn't exist, it's a subjective term which shouldn't be taken literally. We all have different games
Yah the only ‘game changer’ for me would be a place on iOS that I can put stems and audio tracks on a timeline and do audio editing / mixing / arranging somewhat close to as well as I can on PC with Samplitude. Nothing to do with Mac or Ableton in that game.
So is this new Sugar Bytes app the thing that was the changing of the game?
Do any of you folk have this one on desktop? Was it changing all of the games on their for you?
Game changer

😂
@AudioGus Yeah. In fact for me Ableton iOS wouldn't be a game changer at all.
I use Ableton Live already via laptop/desktop and I use ipads to sketch into Ableton all the time. So if they ever released anything for iOS it would be great and I'd be interested of course, but it would only mildy improve workflow into Ableton Desktop (maybe) and wouldn't change that much for me in the end, I'd still use my other AUs/hosts and plugins and the full Live on desktop where I have multiple monitors.
I was not expecting this but yes I would consider Drum Computer game changing. (The next runner-up would be Ruismaker which is excellent). I have two Bop pads/eight triggers – – this is going to be nuts
Thanks @Carnbot DC looks feature-packed, with plenty of modulation and randomization. I need to watch the sequencer video to see if we can chain patterns. 16-steps looks limited...but I read that there's probability...
imo, a true game-changer would be Sound Forge, Spectralayers, RX, and Melodyne. Or the iConnectAudio16+.
For me getting as close to killing the desktop itch completely is the goal... thinking Maschine MK3 may help... for a bit anyway.
I believe in game changer as a concept even if it doesn't apply to me. I doubt Ableton on iOS would change my game, at least initially, but it would for so many others that I think game changer is an apt description, and it would affect my viewpoint considerably if I were getting into iOS now.
I can understand that
and I'll always love working away from the desktop as much as possible. I'll always need it for finishing projects especially when they combine visuals. or film making etc.
I'm really wanting Ableton to extend the Push2 to be able to use it more untethered from Live, or maybe someone will hack it
My cheap arsed mixer/audio interface destroyed itself a couple of days ago. That was a game changer. Boxed up all those Korgs and dragged the dusty old axiom 49 out the wardrobe (not enough space on the desk for everything), suddenly realised I've been sorely neglecting the simple pleasures of just playing some keys. So, game changer, may not be what you thought you wanted and certainly didn't need. It's a roll of the dice, a start over, it's not another app, necessarily. I don't know why I bought that up.
I have seen a few random advertisements for Logic for $79.00. I’m thinking either Logic or like said above, Massive. Just guessing but that’s my hypothesis.
