Is that a similar situation for Velvet Machine, should I try and get a message to Yuri? 🤔

I'm not 100% sure. Drambo takes AU window and embeds it, AU layouts its view - its out of my control. Theoretically everything should work, but there is iOS in between ;) digging.

  • Is there a way to have drambo change the pattern on poly 2 buy inserting MIDI notes on the sequencer or even some other way?
I don’t really understand all the modules but if it’s possible and someone has time to explain it to a moron (me) that would be great lol

Hey man, I made a midi rack for you. All you need to do is hold on the step you want to change patterns on, then press corresponding pattern button in the utility module. That will create a p-lock for the pattern switch on that step. Just go into Aum midi control, and make sure that Drambo is sending to 'midi control'.

(Btw.. there is an easier way to do this, with just 2 modules: a slider and midi CC generator. But I found that when you p-lock the slider, you don't have any visual feedback about which pattern is selected. So that's why I made this rack instead.)
Also, It's a midi rack, so you'll find it in the midi rack presets after download.

    Hope it works for you!

Could you please send [email protected] an email regarding GeoShred’s scaling as well?

I’ve been dying to use GeoShred in Drambo, but it’s all squashed no matter how I turn it.

    TIA!

Do you think Drambo will get more options for showing AU plugin windows, eg floating/scaleable?

Thanks for all the great updates :)

  • Keep saying i dont need midi but may aswell build an additional live setup. Saying I dont need another ipad but if I like the style from vid. Then I guess I need synths with high polythony?

Which maybe better than multi synths.

Here iv got a nanokey and a microkey pointed to same synth. Drambo tracks select the synth in both cases. So would either map both track buttons to a single midi for every synth or keep track buttons visible on screen so can seperate synths via keyboards. I map chance to a controller knob. This way I can record a sequence, then use knob to mute sequence or let notes through, whilst going off grid with the other keyboard. I guess the more free keyboard could still record midi on a drambo pattern basis ( both can really I guess ) I bet drambo can do this without multi keyboards?

Anyway. If I keep the system and its useful. I cant seem to remove notes from sequencer. They get stuck to sequencer so cant edit per step. Maybe its the chance module or because I route midi in on a channel then out on a different channel?

  • edited February 2021

You think its stupid. I mean with other synths it would sound similar by sequence/patterns/mutes, anyway? I lose a nanokey as a controller I guess and it were good for drum machines, where drums might go on another ipad. A nanokontrol might be ok for the drum functions. Rolls/patterns etc but the nanokey seems like it would also be good for mutes. Tape numbers to buttons ( not essential though )

But sequencer gets stuck like I said

  • Not a Drambo expert but think Id switch to Drambo as a host, when it can p lock auv3. Forget about Iaa and hope Drambo gets rolls for drums. Then load song across ipads or just record input if its a high cpu track. Hoping the sound quality is good via spdif.

I guess thequestion without a book is just why do notes get stuck on sequencer? Chance? The midi in/out setup or because its an mfx?

  • @sigma79 Drambo can p-lock AUV3’s parameters. I just tried it with model d and changes were recorded by the sequencer.

I will see. Will post back. Thanks sup

Yeah man. Parameter adds like when you add an lfo. I think another ipad could be cool. Does a Drambo host just give 8 tracks. Think there can be more but 8 tracks per screen could be cool.

  • Does anyone know how to set sb drum in Drambo? An sb per drambo track. This would be ideal drum machine. It records rolls etc.

I think I might still use aum on another ipad and just p-lock the drambo synths. Or find a way to save an auv3 patcg and the original sequence and p-lock then. This way its still free for audio tracks as not sure about audio in drambo. A mononoke for instance or volca modulars.

    Thanks.

  • Tell me lol

Thought Id be selling controllers but it just makes live even sicker.

If it works. Record rolls. p lock a drum machine. Faderfox for effects still.

Aum on another ipad but still use drambo synths p-locked.

Can you believe I was dissing all ios drums. Theres not a drum machine anywhere better if it works.

  • There has to be a way of using sb like in aum ( multi out ) but can sequence to different drambo tracks?

Mapped to a nanokey. So rolls and pitch are on keys and it records to drambo tracks but crashes with 6 sb drums.

Not sure what you want to do.
Sequence in Drambo and use SB Drumcomputer for drum sounds?
Or use SB DC to sequence sounds that are generated in Drambo?

Multi out in drambo host so theres not multiple auv3 ( like aum ). Key and rolls from nanokey or keyboard to seperate drambo tracks.Drambo then sequences sb drum per track or per auv3. Dont think it can. It consistently crashes even with auv3s but dosent if you play 6 factory auv3 sb drum patches

  • Trigger a beat from drambo or keyboard to sb drum but write to seperate drambo tracks per voice. Drambo can recieve rolls from either sb drum or midi keyboard and can make beats quick. You could then p-lock sounds and add probabilty from drambo. The ideal drum machine.
