This is mega-cool...
@ajmiller : yup, you got me. I am that Certain Age
Funny how this was just a discussion on the web Au thread, and 2 days later boom! Surprise BeepStreet drop an AU internet Radio. Awesomeness.
So do you just copy and paste the links of internet radio stations or do you search from inside the app?
Hi @CIT_Audio - thanks for Streemur. I've had and will continue to have so many hours of enjoyment out of it. I have noticed and do appreciate the language notations as well as the curated station list. It's great to meet the developer of an app that I've gotten so much use and enjoyment out of.
This is fun.
I'd like for it to have a mode where the host transport controls the On param, but I'm not finding it. That way I can setup a mesh of AU and use the play button to switch everything on and off.
I found that this stream URL seems to work for most stations:
https://radio.garden/api/ara/content/listen/<station-id>/channel.mp3
When you share a station you get a URL like this:
https://radio.garden/listen/radio-uchile-102-5-fm/g6FEw9TZ
That last part is the station ID that you can replace in the stream URL above. There are a few that haven't worked for me, but I'm fairly certain that it has to do with the source format, because I couldn't even get them to work with their original URL.
It does say it has 3 mappable parameters in App Description. Station, Amp, and On/Off
Me and you both - all the best!
As should every AU!
The transport connection is handled separately from the normal mapping, though.
I don't think I'm the only one who would find this useful and convenient.
@giku_beepstreet It has crackles when I changing the tempo in AUM (e.g. when tapping bpm).
Also very strange decision when main Mod Wheel in AUM (Float) change the stations (Int), not the Volume.
I use this site to stream stations from around the world:
http://worldradiomap.com
I don't have Radio Unit yet, so I'm wondering if the links here will work within the app?
If they do, it would be pretty cool!
Thanks @wim !
Thanks to @enkaytee and @lasselu as well
@zilld2017 That's a weird problem; I'll take a look
Can someone explain how to record the selected station in Cubasis?
How to spot and find the direct internet radio steam, which is what is needed to work as a preset.
https://www.ecler.com/images/downloads/user-manuals/Ecler_ePLAYER1_and_DUO-NET_PLAYER_How_to_identify_internet_radio_url_streams.pdf
It has to be the “direct steam link” which usually ends in a .m3p I think. See that link I posted above.
That little pdf isn’t an exact answer but the whole idea is it has to be the Direct Stream Link, not a website like radio.com playing the link.
From Soma FM
https://somafm.com/indiepop/directstreamlinks.html
“Some media players may need PLS, M3U or "direct stream links" (a link to the actual streaming server rather than a file listing all our servers). If you're using a hardware streaming player, or a player or device that doesn't work when you click our normal listen links, these links may help.
Using the PLS or M3U links is the best, as these links are "permanent" and do not change. Direct server links can vary based on individual server availability and should only be used if PLS or M3U links won't work with your player. If a direct server link stops working, you'll need to get the updated links here.”
Steps to find the streaming url
https://www.dar.fm/streaminghelp.php
Just found 22,943 internet radio stations, from InternetRadio.com every station listed has the .pls and .m3u direct streaming url, which is what you need. Just look under each stations Play Button! Woohoo.
https://www.internet-radio.com/
You guys should post some demos! I wanna hear what ya’ll are doing with it!
Thanks for the tips and putting in the work to find those stations, @Poppadocrock!
Pretty awesome!!!
I can only get .m3u links to work so far.
@giku_beepstreet Im in love with this new app. It be great if there Were more user presets available, I can see myself saving a lot of them. Thanks.
Many stations with .m3u links http://media-ice.musicradio.com/
Edit- I think I misread this particular site it says mp3, not . m3u sorry rest are good.
Really cool to chop this up with glitchcore, record in AUM, load sample in Segments, play to the beat.
@giku_beepstreet any chance of making the URL a state-save parameter? That way we could rely on host presets which can be more convenient
Internet radio created 2 internet radio stations with nothing but Creative Commons ONLY Music, so feel free to use sample or what not in your music. These both work I’ve saved them as presets.
Here is the link to the information I’ve explained, sites are mentioned a little down the page.
https://www.internet-radio.com/community/threads/creative-commons-music-sites-–-free-and-legal-music-for-you-station.13181/
Here is the direct .m3u radio links of 2 non stop Creative Commons only stations, they both work right in Au radio.
Undertow Radio - Indie & Rock

Polymer Radio - Electronic & Dance

I’ve been using glitchcore, replicant 2, yaleD, WOW. Then Enso or L7.
Segments is a great idea too.
You’re welcome. Yea I was immediately interested in finding the answer so I went for it. Happy Holidays.
