This seems to work. In AUM first load Rozeta’s XOX. Let’s say we’re making a drum pattern with just bassdrum, snaredrum and closed hihat, just as in the video. Next open 3 audio channels and load your recorded radiostream or sample or whatever into the channels and set loop on. Then set your midi source in the channels to XOX and assign the channels to a midi note. XOX’s BD is note 49, SD is 51 and CH is 63. Don’t forget to set each channel to receive midi from XOX’s midi channel 10. And also don’t forget to hit learn. And maybe set the output of the channels to Mix Bus A and insert a reverb on the receiving Mix Bus A channel because the sounds you’re triggering are very short. You could additionally load a extra channel with Ruismaker so you can check that everything is in sync with the beats.
@dvi no worries! Hi really just wanted you to know that using Radio Garden’s links in Radio Unit is feasible but needs some manual tweaking 😉
Yup yup. I’m in love with this and the stuff that’s coming out...
May as well post the list of radio stations I fool around with
Yikes the formatting sucks. Sorry about that. 😢

Got it to work with Auditor file player, thanks, but is this possible with the live feed from the radio sations?
How can I get working links, for instance this site https://www.radio.pt/ has all the portuguese stations, but I've inspected the code and it seems it's all done with server side scripting, and I can't find the raw links anywhere.
With these two helpful tips I managed to get it working, now. Thanks guys!
Having a lot of fun with this, another jewel from @giku_beepstreet, but like others said, please please please, more slots!
It's in the 'Other' folder, under 'Sources'. At least, that's how it's displayed in Safari's Web Inspector on Mac. There should be a route to this information using any browser.
Então,
RFM
https://playerservices.streamtheworld.com/api/livestream-redirect/RFM.mp3
Antena 1
http://radiocast.rtp.pt/antena180a.mp3
etc.
You can do it
These media players (.mp3 links) in posts kill my browser response... or am I the only one reading this on iOS?
Not just you. Is the page waiting for a continuous stream to finish loading up, or something like that? Pressing the 'x' when it hangs should do the trick.
Happy to change the mp3 links I've posted to "~url[dot mp3]" if it makes your life better, but then it's inconvenient for copy/paste.
[double post]
Pressing x sometimes works, other times it presents half a page.
Perhaps putting the links as ‘spoiler’ is a workaround.
https://radios.rtbf.be/wr-eventradio-128.mp3
Edit: Spoiler seems to pre load the player as well. Maybe ‘Code’ works?
https://radios.rtbf.be/wr-eventradio-128.mp3
Yes, 'Code' is a great solution! All done
It would be cool if the plugin would load muted sometimes I forget to mute the channel...
So please correct me if im wrong here.... I feel like I can legally use radio songs as long as I mangle them and they are perhaps so far from the OG version no one will sue me. Like I would really mangle it, not that Im worried about my Brittany lawsuit. Cheers, Am I overthinking this?
Many thanks, I get it now!
This might even get me to listening to radio, again, it’s been ages...
Btw, you’re Portuguese?
So this is why this thread hangs safari sometimes. I was wondering what’s wrong with my internet. Doesn’t happen on desktop using firefox, which was puzzling me...
Yes. Happens in iOS Chrome also. I think it's getting all the streams ready to play.
Edit. Does not happen in iCab Mobile. This page loads rapidly.
It's illegal to record/reproduce a copyrighted recording without permission to do so. If you're an outlaw, go wild.
(But sample a Metallica riff and you might go bankrupt).
The finer details vary by country. In Germany, for instance, no matter where you start from, if you end up with something that's in a modified form unrecognisable to the ear then it's court-approved.
I think everybody knows if they made something, or if they took it.
No @pedro, I just live here
Ha, ok, how are you enjoying it so far? Cold as hell, these last few days...
One thing that is important noticing, regarding copyright, is that no one is going to sue you unless you are making big bucks, so for instance I can sample whatever I like, and still be in the clear.
Even if you make a hit, it might be worth it. For instance that guy Baauer, made it big with that song harlem shake, that went viral a few years ago, and he was sued out of every penny he made cause he didn’t clear some sample, but it gave him worldwide exposure, so I’m sure it was worth it for him
Oh and you won’t go bankrupt if you sample even metallica. You’ll be sued out of the earnings from the song, not your house and your car
And you can always pull a “vanilla ice” and add a pointless extra note and argue it’s an original composition. Worked for him...
Love it here, obviously
Don't forget Rádio Amália! http://centova.radios.pt:9496/stream
How couldn’t you
How could I? (but thanks, great tip, I’ve tried a few times to remix fado, it’s not that easy, but I haven’t given up)
If you’re into that kind of thing, there’s this series by RTP called “em casa da Amália” that’s a really interesting watch. It’s in portuguese, don’t know if you can understand, but it showcases all the best fado musicians, and it’s another solid example of public service television. Highly recommended, you can watch it on RTP play (or on tv if you have cable)
What a post! Nice and thank you!
Cool... we can do that !
Sure. If you can load it as a source in AUM, be it IAA, AU or sample, you can use it. It’s the volume sliders who are manipulated. What sound comes thru them doesn’t matter.
When Iv mixed the same record. Obviously it sounds wierd. Tried the same channel in 2 aum. Setting to mono or panned. Is there a delay or is it just the effect of duplicate channels?
I’m not sure if you are replying to my comment on the question of @Toastedghost. I have tried what you wrote, 2 channels in AUM with the same sound, panned left and right, and i didn’t experience any delay. Sorry if this has nothing to do with my post and you are replying to something completely different.
Hi cool. Wasnt replying to a comment. Thanks for reply though.
