I think you'd have to be a starting developer to appreciate the Audio Kit project.
They provide software/source code that can be used to make IOS products. There efforts
in the app space are typically example application with completely open source implementation that can be studied.
Their not trying to get rich making applications and $4 is a great price for their stuff.
But for anyone buying apps they seem to be confusing and manipulative but to be honest:
we are not their primary audience... developers are... they make software to assist developers in making AUv3 apps and basic starter Swift Apps.
Don't hate on these guys for the pricing games or go ahead and be clueless fools. We will always have clueless fools that fight the wrong battles over shit like subscriptions and unpredictable pricing (AudioKIt pricing is very predictable... $99 vs $4. Not hard to read the signals).
Open source developers are the heroes of the modern world and they make all our lives better by giving others the benefit of their software investments. AudioKit is the primary open source project on IOS. @burns_audio audio gave away a lot of great software for someone to build upon and someone will and probably put a price on it for the effort.
We swim in a world of incentives and artifacts. Choose you villains carefully... the truly awful and rarely successful at providing flawed goods.

I really didn’t want to get involved in this totally off-topic railroading of the iOS music app deal thread, but at some point we have to all make a stand.
For all you Audio Kit haters, please start your own off topic thread so the vast majority of Audiobus Forum Members can get on with sharing 4th of July sales without the off topic abuse.

Yeah, it just comes over as a bit of fun to me, and certainly no ill-intent. I’d be surprised if they ever sold a single app at the inflated price.
Is MidiMixer easy to use?
Yes.
Interesting for live oriented effects, but I don't think it's as useful as BLEASS Slow machine.

I’d pay 100€ for an iOS daw. So I could bitch and complain without guilt.
Honestly I would pay $100 for a perfect clone of Cakewalk 3.0 for Windows 3.1 ported on iOS: staff editor, note editor, and so on, nearly 30 years ago. I would not surely complain.

My favorite sequencer.
Easy to use.
Super quick editing and perfect timing.
No clip launching necessary.
And after 30 years we’re struggling with many different daws/sequencers scourged by bugs, big lackings, problems: no audio in NS2, no staff edit or time track (!!!!!) in Cubasis, and so on.
I would happily pay for a CW3 clone, really.
