I’m wondering, are beathawk strings samples better than isymphonic?

Not really. But there are some good ones in there if you wanted to provide a fuller sound and combine the two.

  • I wish we could have a smaller subset, or maybe just Beathawk “Sound packets” where we could use just the sounds… as an alternative to installing the whole Beathawk Mothership every time they add a new sound pack.

Or maybe I just need to get that new iPad..

  • Anyone got an opinion on BH B3 organ sound pack or the B3 app ( I have also forgotten the name of the app , and can’t find it on the damn App Store—- so would appreciate it if someone can help with that also )

  • Sorry think the app was called Hanon b70 tonewheel organ

  • @Gdub This one? https://apps.apple.com/app/id1560880479

LinearLineman said upthread that he'd go for for the VB3m app over the BeatHawk B3 pack.

  • @telecharge
    Wow
    You’re fast
Thanks for the knowledge, might jump on the app this afternoon
    Thanks

Can you use BH in AUM and trigger sounds from other midi auv3?

    Yep…

    Edit.. and record midi too..

Thought a new BH was promised late last year…

  • Bit the very reasonable bullet and copped total bass, acoustic drums and mallets iap’s thanks to @LinearLineman ’s advice. My collective leans toward classic hip hop inspired music and we’ve been using the Asia, India, and other not so hip hoppy packs in BH to add a slightly off kilter sound to our productions. Figured we might as well start using it for the more traditional sounds since we have had such good success with the other stuff. Almost got the musical toys and still might.

    Not really.

Thank you. I’ll proceed then with my eternal wait for cinematic-strings-2-grade samples on ios.

  • Can you load different instruments onto different pads in AUV3 version and have different midi Auv3 to trigger the different instruments so pad 1 is midi channel 1 and 2 is 2 etc. Or do you have to have an instance of BH for each midi player/instrument?

Sales usually signal a new release is near.

@Edward_Alexander, this is your chance to get Steel Guitar. ;)

  • A Beathawk pack that may not be for everyone, but I absolutely love is the Musical Toys one.
And the ethnic instruments. I try to focus on getting the packs unique to BH. (Although I bit the bullet on the Mallets one after listening to the awesome @LinearLineman's tracks with it. Absolutely lovely that one)

There was just an update today to iSymphonic - may want to check it out.

StaffPad really is amazing too. There are ways…but it would be nice to have more, easier ways.

It’s my least used app of theirs, but that isn’t to say it’s bad.

  • @NimboStratus said:

    Yup.

Certainly fun as an effects processor.
Thought it’s been marketed for bass
and guitar as an insert for other sound sources it’s really fun.
It’s also one of those that you use when
    you’re searching for inspiration and
    you need something different.

For that price? you can’t go wrong.

  • Yup grabbed and galilo2

Galileo 2 is great. Its power is in the FX. Make sure you get the FX pack too, the best tones I've done with it require the Rotary 2122, the Graphic EQ and the Chorus. Dunno if the full pack is on sale now but I found it very useful. First, I thought that Eventide Rotary would end my search for a good Leslie emulation but forget it. It doesn't deliver.

Always a good idea to buy all of the add-ons when a Yonac app first goes on sale and in the occasional later sales.

  • Now,... this is definitely a bargain.

    It was once $999.99

    Get it whilst you can.

  • Yeah, most of AudioKit's apps are $4 USD. More July 4th pricing for the upcoming US holiday. Hopefully, more sales are on the way.
