    @blueveek exactly lol 😂

    When will it be released?

The new choke modes, Pencil support (and other features in 2.0.3) will be available once Apple reviews them.

    Ok

  • @blueveek I heard a rumor you’ve started on “atom 3” aka molecules

😜 (oh gods, I’m kidding people don’t kill me)

had some time last days with mighty Atom2 and i cannot find the answer in this huge thread. How can i make my pads ( on LP mini mk3) trigger notes when I don't screen( main view) Atom2? I have to come back each time and open Atom in order to play the pads. Sorry for any hassle, but i cannot find it. Appreciate!

You mean the Atom-ation update? (direct all your applause to @tk32 for this one)

    You can either:

    • Arm all the clips you want to record into, in which case they'll all receive input from your Launchpad and record accordingly without them having to be open or you doing any special routing. But it's recording, not monitoring.
    • Monitor the input in each instance, by manually routing your controller into the clips. In AUM for example, tap the hamburger menu besides each node and pick your Launchpad's MIDI out as an input.
  • I bought Atom 1 only a few weeks ago as had no real need for it but figured it would be good to help the development on 2. I’ve not really used it yet but was wondering if the update from 1 to 2 will be out soon? I don’t want to be mean spirited or anything but as I’ve only just got Atom 1 just wondering if I will have to buy 2. If I had used 1 over the years then yes would fee obliged to pay for the upgrade no problem at all but am new here etc. This is not a moan at all just want to know, thanks. I have also bought a fair few other devs apps here so have been supportive of this community and so not want to upset anyone. Hope that makes sense

  • Bundle available in UK :)

Indeed it is in the US store also and at a crazy great $1 upgrade price. Thank you @blueveek very much!

Yep. So go into the App store and find Atom 1 or 2 then you may have to go into "More by Victor Porof", select "See All" and you will find the upgrade bundle, available as of this morning. BTW I had a similar approach buying Atom 1 to support development of Atom 2.

  • Available in Sweden...

  • Can anyone help

I want to launch octatron from atom2,
And noticed you can launch different patterns etc via midi
But I can’t get it to work
Any help please would be really appreciated

  • I told you this guy was true to his word. $1 for all that work and new features -- unbelievable!

There are other ways to help support Blueveek. Those of us with a little extra cash to spare can always 'gift a copy' to help out instead.

...or you can leave him a nice review :)

  • @blueveek How are 'device dependent' settings handled since the settings are stored on iCloud and shared between devices?

Cool! Thanks. Where is the best place to go to learn specifically how to send a CC92 for PlayBeat? Is there a general help location?

  • $1 upgrade to move from v1 (which was good) to v2 (which is superb)? This dude is legendary!

  • Another question

Can I start AUM file player from atom 2 ??
This would be really great, as trying to make a atom2 master
    And my midi skills suck
I couldn’t do it last night

    Hopefully this is possible

    Any help would be appreciated

  • Indeed it is in the japan store $ 4.99 Why?

Configuration variants, styles and scripts are shared between devices. The configuration you pick, style you choose, and scripts you enable, are all per device.

You've picked up the first version during a sale. The upgrade bundle is set at the lowest allowed tier.

  • @MrBlaschke

    Thanks so much

    Didn’t work the first time

In the file player bit, I had to tap at top and select atom2 as the midi source

    Really appreciate your help

This also solved my launch problems with octachron

Finally think my brain is understanding

    Super thanks dude

If you bought v1 on sale it’s normal , but also don’t forget there is a glitch in the store and you have to scroll down to the bottom (where it seems App Store updates the price) and then back to the top

    You‘re welcome - no problem.
Keep in mind that there is that common offset by 1 octave sometimes. So some sequencers/triggers/synths might react to 1 octave difference. Some handle C3 as C4 or vice versa. So if you think you configured it right try launching the same trigger/note one octave higher/lower to test for that. Other than that these kind of „virtual MIDI setups“ are all very hassle-free for me.

  • Everyone (arigato gozaimasu) Thank you

  • Thanks again @MrBlaschke

    Loving this atom 2

Using atoms as a master, now feel like I have a time line in AUM
In the middle of making a complete song template with an atom master and then other atoms for bass, melody, chords, drums , file players etc
Then I can populate everything with midi notes and choose my synths etc , so I can make full tracks much quicker
Open the template, rename it, get creative straight away, knowing the arrangement is already complete
( granted will need to make other templates for different types of music)

This is what I have been waiting for, always loved AUM and with atom2 I am a happy bunny

    Big respect to @blueveek
best £10 spent in a long time

Am sure I will be asking more questions along the way thou

To be clear: octave numbers are not standardized across apps (they aren't part of the MIDI standard)! but midi note numbers 0-127) are. Some apps and midi hardware call note 0 C-1 some call it C-2 and some C0 (though that is rare).

Middle C is note 60 (that is part of the standard ) but some apps will call that C3 and some C4.

  • @blueveek Any news about the CC black box? Not using Atom2 yet just waiting for the sustain and mod wheel to be recorded! Thanks!

The price of that bundle is offset by the price you paid for version 1. If you got version one on sale it will be a higher bundle price.

  • I wanted to give my appreciation for the UI it feels so nice and incredibly smooth, so far I have only used it on my phone (iPhone 12 Pro Max) and I love how it moves out of the way of the notch when expanding it to full screen in AUM, I wish more AUv3s did this.
