I vote @tk32 as Poster Boy of the Year.

Thanks Mike. The sentiment is appreciated, but this is really not about me.

Ideally, I'd like to find a way of removing myself and making this a self-sustaining system that doesn't require any coordinating individual. (Ideas anyone?)

I'm heartened by all the users who've supported the idea and made pledges. But it's still too early to say if this can keep momentum over the long term. (I hope so)

We're getting close to $200 of gifted apps in under 2 days. That's great. If all the remaining pledges are completed that'd be close to $400 re-invested back into the community and indie Dev's pockets.

  • Yes, @tk32. You have spent a huge number of hours keeping-up with the thread.

Perhaps we can create a group of volunteers (formal or informal — like the app sale thread) so one person is no fully responsible for thread maintenance.

It’s a wonderful idea and it shouldn’t be relegated to you alone.

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Thanks @SNystrom

I'm very happy to continue supervising things for a bit longer, and see how this pans out.

If it gets too much for me to manage I'll ask for some help.

  • I've had a couple of really good ideas how this arrangement could evolve over time.

I'll give them a bit longer to percolate then perhaps share them here for feedback.

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • @tk32 pledging for the US store
    1 Glitchbreaks
    1 Bit Maestro

  • I'll break the rules a bit and make up my own.

I'll pledge a ~$25 fund towards apps from single developers that have more than 100 comments on this forum. That would be folks like @azul3D_Apps, @SevenSystems, @brambos, @giku_beepstreet and our host @michael. I'm sure there are more. It's easy to check stats on the developers comments. Just click on any comments they make to see their profile of actvity. Budget for IAP's allowed in the request.

DM me with the app name, cost and IAP costs in your country. I can use Paypal for out of US.

Extra consideration for anyone unemployed or in school. I'll report the details of the apps requested and the $'s awarded but keep the receiver's details private.

$9 for @Brambos Mononoke just went out. Something different from Bram and great for
atmospheric/ambient moods. Can't do enough for Bram... good friend of the forum.
Mozaic has saved me a lot of money just for the distraction. Writing code takes a lot of effort. Mozaic makes it easy to invent MIDI behaviors.

@tk32 i asked @Shabudua to let me know via DM or this thread when he redeems it, but haven’t heard back yet. I Just want to confirm 1 thing, is there a 24 hr limit on the codes?

Not sure. Perhaps not. I thought I read about the 24hour timeout somewhere, but can’t seem to find it anymore.

    We’ll soon find out.

    Cheers, thanks for the info.

  • With my BitWiz pledge it feels like I’m fishing again, a few nibbles but no bites.

  • Big ups to @McD for their generosity!

  • Does any of the developers know anything about this thread?

Pay it forward when you can. I enjoy supporting @Brambos... I own everything he's made for IOS.

FYI: @virsyn meets my criteria and Audio Layer is 50% off folks. I have $16 left in budget.

Deleted... I have 1,601 pennies left. @jimpavloff... good option.

In that case, I would appreciate one of them along with the code expressions and info you mentioned previously.

  • Now, who's going to claim that "But maestro" app listed in the OP?

Great, I’ll DM you the first code for BitWiz.

At least with my offerings I called it "Bit"

OK. The $16 has been given out for a copy of Atom 2 (or the bundle/upgrade)
at $9. I threw in the extra $6 for MIDI tools or what ever. Victor is a true hero
    for 2021.

My mom always told me I was "special". My brother as a III (3rd, the son of a Junior). I asked what my number was and she said "The End". Turned out to be true. I outlived them all and had no male children.
