I'd avoided this as I don't do IAA, but I just bought it and love it already. Going to play around with exporting stuff from this and running it in the LoopyPro AU.
Maybe we can 'bribe' Pascal Douillard to do an Auv3 version.. Personally, I think it is one of the best Drum apps out there..

It's pretty sweet that isn't it. I've been playing with exporting loops from here and playing them in the Loopy Pro AU but the timing on the exported loops seems to be very wrong unfortunately.

I think the user kits are made from the other supplied kits, with samples mix/matched and tweaked. You can save as a new kit, and import one someone shared with you or from a backup, etc.
If you like the sequencer workflow, you could try using the midi out from DrumLab to play another app that allows custom samples.

Iv noticed with ios drum apps. There isnt much swing. With a volca drum. Theres loads of swing.
Ios drums. There seems to be just a bit, to hi hats.
but volca drum will actually drive you mad. The vuvariam drum.

I haven't been able to get an answer from the developer through his official email so I'm wondering if somebody can help me with this problem in DrumLab. Start with a blank song and it doesn't matter what kit you use. Tap in some quadruplets into the step sequencer anywhere you'd like also some triplets if you want. Then load back up the same project again and now the quadruplets will have turned into triplets and the triplets will have turned into duplets. If you keep reloading the same project again and again eventually all the notes will turn into singles. This totally messes up my workflow as I have lost hours worth of editing due to trying to figure out which notes were quads, triplets, etc. Then when I load the song again it just bugs up as described.
I can replicate this bug time and time again. It happens in standalone as well as in AUM. I've got an iPad Pro with the latest iOS update. I have deleted and installed the app numerous time with the same results. There is also bugs with recorded automation disappearing sometimes but I'm not going to even get into that yet. This is an amazing sounding drum machine and I hope this can get fixed. Thank you all for listening and I hope anyone can provide me with some help or insight.

Edit: Developer finally got in touch with me. He has limited time to work on this app but he is aware of this problem now and I hope he can, in good time, fix this bug and more if he can find them. So if anyone is running into this issue there is some hope.
Well Version 1.0.6 came out and really didn't fix any of the issues that I've found in my previous post. I would recommend that people stay away from purchasing this app until these issues get sorted out especially if you do sequencing that has a lot of doubles, triplets and quadruplets. I hope the dev really takes these problems seriously. This is the only app I have that makes me extremely happy and angry at the same time. I though about buying FAC Drumkit and trying it with a sequencing app.
Is there any sequencing app that people can recommend where I could use the sequencer to route into Drumlab or FAC Drumkit ,probably through AUM, so that I could play Drumlab sounds and so that it could remember all doubles, triplets and quads. Obviously if it could be polymetric that would be great as well as have other features such as automation or any other goodies I haven't thought of. I'm kind of new to external sequencing apps. Thanks for any help.
So sad. Sonically I LOVE DrumLab, especially the FX section. I think if it was AUv3 it would be my favorite drum machine. As it is, I ‘m at least able to create drum loops and export them to other apps.

I love that live repeat section next to the pads, when a pattern is playing. You can tap on 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 or whatever and easily create nice fills.

I'd like to thank everyone for their responses. I've looked into all of the suggestions and so far I am leaning towards Polybeat. It looks like an amazing sequencer with everything I'd want. I'll probably end up buying a few of them anyway. The MidiDreamDrum that RajahP suggested looks very good also. Well now I don't feel so crippled by the Drumlab bugs and limitations so I'm off to explore. Thanks again.

Yea polybeat is one of the few sequencers that has 16 sequencer lanes. You can obviously use 2 instances of something like octachron, which has 8, but it’s great to have all 16 in one.
+1 polybeat + FAC Drumkit make a great pair.. the randomization within polybeat is the icing on the cake.. if you have no idea where to start your beat, it’s a very handy option to have.. 👍
I’m sure it would work well with DrumLab too..
I most use Drumlab and DM2 to make weird drones and loops so I can export them and do further processing. So for my use cases they’re both great. Especially since I got them for $.99 a piece. I also don’t mind using IAA apps so maybe I’m in the minority here lol.
I think they’re great overall.
I really am enjoying this app. Regardless of it being IAA only, exporting into CB3 is working effortlessly for me and I’m loving the sounds I’m getting out of Drumlab. So great. And fun!
I find since I’m “committing to tape” as early as possible in my music making of late, the lack of AU in Drumlab isn’t really an issue. It has an excellent quick export option, so like others, I get in and produce the foundation beat I need, bring the exported wave file into Audioshare then on from there to where I need it quickly. It would be cool if it could export stems like Rock Drummer, but other than that it’s a great app for the price.
