In the video you said there will be LED feedback.
So would it be possible for the rgb pads on a launch key mini to change colors for like record, overdub, play..etc.
Sorry this might be a bit of a noob question but I’m very interested in getting and mk3 launchkey and that paired with loopy would be amazing.

The looper looks great and I’m looking forward to getting it as soon as it comes out!

    Yep!

    Crazy! Thank you

it would be great if it was a free update loopy hd!!! but I guess not. Very sad!!!!!! ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

I think Michael is quite right to charge for this, and I am happy to pay. He has clearly put loads of work into it! And around $50 for software like this? Might seem expensive for iOS apps but compared to any other DAW (let's call it what it is) it's not very much...

Using loops are cheating, means you still at DUPLO daw level. And it just always sounds like crap, because the rest of your programming skills are not up to par either. So you hear vengeance or loopmasters nasty loops and then some youtube riser fx tutorials on top.
A sylenth presetpack lead and some singomasters midi patterns and you call that your new EDM track
But it always shows, because anyone will find nothing original or authentic in these kind of tracks. My 10 old brother does "EDM" too. He can't play a single note, but is pretty good at doing his "research" combining the several building blocks and tuts he finds online.

    A. Username checks out.

    B. @Michael not sure if you’ve noticed this troll but their posts lead me to believe they’re not a genuine member. Kinda reminds me of that dude that kept getting banned on different accounts in late 2019/early 2020.

    Lol I remember him!!

Hopefully you’ll be taking my money for this by Thanksgiving @Michael. Looking forward to seeing the live demo with you and Fallon 🍿

I think Fallon would love a built-in 'helium effect' :sunglasses:

  • I said it before and I’ll say it again .. This app will completely raise the level of iOS. The ability to cut off audio and reverb tails by the bar is just insane. BRAVO!

To be clear, what Loopy does is record a little bit longer after stopping record, so that it can catch decay/tails. Then it plays the decay/tail segment as part of the loop from the second time around, and also plays as an outro once the loop is stopped.

  • Looks so amazing!

Will the led midi feedback work with led encoders like the MIDI Fighter Twister? For controlling effects or other parameters?

I love the idea of setting up a few hardware controllers and being able to put the screen aside

I don't know! I don't have that device - I haven't actually built encoder support in yet, although I intend to do it soon after launch. I think I'm probably going to have to get myself some hardware.

Bloody hell the MIDI Fighter Twister is expensive!

  • I thought Clapton was god. Or Eno…

  • Oh dear... it looks like Michael might have been overdoing the celebrations a bit. Must have been quite a weekend.

  • Michael’s reality filter must be on the blink - he’s already admitted to being a kangaroo!

Just a thought ... if you eventually made some kind of scripting API such as Atom2 has, maybe people would step up with controller support scripts.

Scripting didn't really take off with Atom 2, though, so possibly more trouble than it's worth.

  • I thought the walrus was Paul...?

The other upside of not doing that is you have an ongoing excuse to get cool new controllers. :D

I do think you will need to do some expectation setting. People don't realize that two-way feedback has to be custom implemented for each and every controller.

The little things that make all the difference 👏👏👏

  • My goodness I’m looking forward to this. I was last this stoked for an app when NanoStudio came out. Weeeeeee!

Does it host all the parameters of audio units and effects, for controllers?

If need be can it host drambo so you can also map controller to drambo and not loopy?

What about directing midi of controllers to 2 ipads and audio 4c?

  • Not used ipad for a while but think its still valid questions if I recall.

Sorry. Audio 4c can route midi to both ipads which show as ports in aum. The ports would need to show in loopy. I think.

Think im buying for the stems/DAW stuff so it dosent matter as much but a complete system is good.

  • Dont think it needs ports. It would just be midi channels anyway. I think.

Promotions but you are right. I just ask stupid questions. When its a buy anyway.

Got one used. Nice Hardware. Would it work with absolute Values & Midi-Feedback?

  • Universal ??
