    Not quite. Logic is more advanced, allowing you to select the note length per each note/chord entered. So you could have the first three entered notes be half notes, with the next 4 notes entered being eighth notes. Kind of like how a tracker like Sunvox works with the number of lines skipped per entry. Drambo just does single step, no regard to note length (ie, the 'classic' way ;))

    You can still use 'rest/tie' to extend the notes (which I use in Logic).

    I always apply 'Tracker Analogy' to step-recording, 'rest' is like 'down arrow' in a tracker 'tie' in depends NNA (New Note Action) of the instrument being used.

    The coming Drambo step-sequencer has an 'edge' over Step-Recording in SunVox or Renoise in that it accepts chord input.

    Rest assured that all ideas are being forwarded to da man in charge.

    Now it's up to the 'Review 'Gods' over at Apple...

    You can tell the hard work of actual beta testing has come to an end because all of the beta team now have time on their hands to flex and tease about cryptic '77' here on the forum :p

    (but we're still very grateful for all those months of hard work, by the way)

    Ok, I just heard from @echoopera Over at the elektron forums (in the poly play groove box downer thread) that Drambo will get a major update? Now this… it’s right at my doorsteps? How cool is this.

    Can someone give me a pointer to a post or so what to expect with this update? Don’t have the time right now to roam all sections of the hypetrain- tshoooo tshoooo 🚂 Thanks in advanced

    In very short: The sequencer is going to get a huge update plus there's going to be a number of smaller enhancements making Drambo even more fun to work with.
    The beta team hasn't only been busy with beta testing but also writing a manual, improving the help text in each module and making quick start videos introducing the new features.
    The videos will go public with the release of the new version.

    I haven't managed to wrap my head around how to use this yet. I feel like I have a Ferrari that I don't know how to drive, and someone is about to give me a newer, better Ferrari that I still won't know how to drive.

    The shame of unused gear persists in app land.

    If you struggle with something please ask away... D is so vast that comprehensive documentation is nearly impossible... the more questions asked over the time the more answers there will be available for the next user and better we will understand areas of confusion or what needs improving.
    There is no bad question... better you describe what you’re after easier it is to provide help.
