Brilliant! Thanks
77… what if it’s 7+7 = 14 .
release date 14/05/2022!!
I wonder how the new pianoroll would compare to Atom 2 in terms of responsiveness/usability? Anyone know whether it has that ‚ghost notes’ from another layer view?
morph module
I’m only 5 minutes into Ben’s 2.0 walkthrough and I am amazed. Wow, what an update! Insane.
Link?
Thanks, @vasilymilovidov
Just seen it in action, in the 2.0 updates video
Haha, sweet!
The clip launcher looks amazing. I am going to get carpal tunnel syndrome from swiping to refreshing the app store to see if it’s been updated.
You'll find the easter egg if you look around closely.
Nice….

I'm going to hold off checking the app store till tomorrow.
I love how you can use the Nav bar to select patterns and the clip view options for song building.
The bezier curves in the automation editor? HOW. IT. SHOULD. BE. DONE. in any DAW.
Now just me checking the store every 15 minutes for the update:
Is there independent pattern length for tracks? 🥹
also, it looks like I finally won't be thinking with dread about using automation
You can use a step-component to jump to the start from any step, so your track pattern can be anything from 1 step to 16-bars long.
According to an earlier post, using a jump step component is the way to go, as in the current version

That’s great!
Watched Ben’s video. That is insane !!!!
How is mpe implemented ?
Yes! I think this might be the least resistant way to automate AU parameters in a one-box-solution that I can think of atm.
Since I've typically used AUM there's always had to be the process of connecting an LFO (or graphic shaper) to a CC but then it's even more cumbersome if you want it in a song-mode context....it might very well be that standalone Drambo will take over AUM as the main host.
Not to mention using it on Macbook Air...later on I'm excited to send midi over to apple motion to automate visual parameters (which you could do with drambo already but I haven't tried it for that yet)
I'm not getting what Clip locks do though.... can anyone explain?
due to my excitement I'm not able to process things atm
EDIT: I guess it's just keeping all the P-Lock settings for that track (including automation I assume)
Aside from the setup convenience, when going through MIDI CC-based automation instead of modulating the AU params directly, you lose resolution by being forced to CC's 128 values, so I consider this a better solution in many aspects
Ah yes. Which reminds me of something I might not have brought up awhile ago....redundant CC values being sent.
I don't want data clogging up bandwidth ie values going 1111222233334444555544443333222111
just change the value when it's different.
I was hoping there was some module I could use that's similar to Max/MSPs [change] object to filter out repeating values but I couldn't get there
In regards to automation?
There's not an app right now that can touch it, not one.
The automation is superb.
It's off the hook.
I couldn't screen record the piece because I'm in the beta team
but I can share this description now as this was my test piece.
Every CLIP on the synth bass sound has it's own automation.
I think at one point there's 22 lanes of automation on one CLIP.
Here's the piece.
I then took out the stock oscillators and put in MiRacks and this is what it sounds like.
What's the default resolution for AU params then? Dependent on host ie 16/24bit?
Don’t know if that was mentioned and i know that is to much but i’m wondering about proper scale on Mac?
I don't think it depends on the host; I believe this is specified when param is defined in the AUv3 plugin itself (it can be indexed, floating point value with different units, etc.) Disclaimer: I'm not an audio developer.
😎😎😎 Off the hook indeed. Most appropriate way to put it I think.
Sweet beat ,visuals and great examples, thx for sharing. Looks like Drambo might breathe new life into dusty ol mirack too 😬
