It’s live!!”
Party time! Excellent!
This needs its own new thread 🎉
Been on the beta just redownloaded the store version and version 2 appears to be live even though the store description still sayes 1.4 weird.
almost called it
It's out by the way! (Here in Switzerland)
Anyone getting audio working on MacOS M1?
works for me
The FOMO is real!
This is so weird. It plays out the speakers fine, but not headphones, even Drambo's showing on the sound input....
This update is incredible! Having soooo much fun with it.
Especially the clip launcher, clip p-locks are everything I've ever dreamed of for Drambo! This free update is so big. I'll donate some money for sure 🥳
Nice, so there's hope for a looper module in dRambo Reloaded! 😁
There's a looot to explore now!!
As others have mentioned, you can use the jump component to make a clip an irregular number of steps (ie. 14 steps rather than the default 16). But different bar lengths are very easily possible just from the sequencer - you can have up to 16 bars in a clip, and each clip can be of a different bar length.
In the meantime, if you own Loopy Pro you can set that up within Drambo. I haven't had time to figure out a primo workflow with this combo yet, but I reckon the possibilities are mind-blowing.
Indeed they are!! I think it's time to start exploring Drambo as a host, I've been using it a lot to build processors and instruments inside AUM.
Yeah, it's a great host because you can start taking advantage of all those lovely AUv3 apps. But I'm still looking forward to maybe one day Apple allowing AUv3s within AUv3s to host AUv3s, for full Dramboception within AUM.
That'd be like a sound design blackhole 😂🤩
Is there multi out in Drambo for audio? Can Drambo sequence any auv3 drum apps per track ( multi in ) Fac drum is able to load as multi instance but cant be mapped ( by way of design of app )
If not. I think it could be a Drambo business model. Even if its just a drum machine auv3 app that you buy for another £20 or so. Not as busy as sb drum but more than a volca drum. So normal drums plus quirkiness if needed. Without having to build a Drambo module, synth with in-line resonators etc.
If it can be made because beepstreet makes it. It could then be the only app. Which dosent need to be mapped. So you dont have small ( mapped ) knobs but actual knobs of app will behave like a drambo module but nice screen look of a drum machine and good/big, for screen tweaking. Hold step. Tweak knob and the only synth, when screen made big. To actually size so you still got the sequencer track, at the bottom of screen. App would be multi out and multi in. When you switch tracks. It also via background. Switches the drum page for said track. So you just hold step amd tweak knob.
Or can someone tell me how to make sb drum be multi out audio but make a midi mixer ( as shown before ) so it sequences sb drum voices per track. I can then map a controller.
I think the update makes track speeds. So like a sequencer accent of a volca drum.
Yep! So the 'real' length of a 16 bar track can be much, much longer as long as you're happy to sacrifice sequencer grid resolution.
The new features and enthusiasm makes me wanna switch from Gadget to dRambo as my main app. But I’d know I’d miss all those sounds I got in Gadget…
I agree about options to pay/tip for this update. My fav browser iCab has this:
lol. Sorry. Just noticed update and asking for major requests etc and probably silly ideas, also.
I have loaded FAC Drumkit as an AUv3 instrument within Drambo and sequenced it via notes, but only on a single track. What's cool in order to preserve CPU is come up with a drum kit in FAC, then sample it to a Flexi Sampler, slice the individual hits and then sequence it from there.
There may be a more complex way to get per note audio out of FAC (ie. route individual note output to individual tracks - have C2's drum hit audio sent to track 2, C#2's drum hit audio only sent to track 3, etc) by way of some internal Drambo modules in the signal chain, but that's well beyond my pay grade and it may not be possible. Anyone?
The two can run perfectly fine side by side... with the audio clip drag & drop you can render and move things to Drambo in a second.
route each drumkit channel to a different audio out module?
I'm a little stumped at how to bring in a guitar via, say, Nembrini HiVolt. What exactly is the signal chain? I assume on the track menu, I choose audio from the appropriate channel of my audio interface. And then the next module is an Audio Unit Processor, in this case the HiVolt amp sim. No sound.
I'm seeing level in audio interface. What dumb thing am I doing wrong?
This seems correct, could you share a screenshot of the track settings and the rack with the Nembrini AU?
Using the Instrument template in the top-left hamburger menu.
@ExAsperis99 yep this all seems fine. I wonder if Drambo could be acting up with the high number of inputs as compared to most interfaces. Could you try a different, lower input? Or even without an audio interface (and low output volume to avoid feedback), just to check that the routing is correct.
Have you tried bringing in external audio signal via Audio input module (MISC / UTILITY)?
will check later this way and report if it’s a bug.
