DrumJam Pads - Upcoming AUv3

  • It’s getting close to being a Zombie thread.

“We’re going to break out the hats and hooters when Josie comes home.” And DrumJam to AUv3.

  • I would vote for an AUv3 version of DrumJam, since it would be nice, convenient, and handy, and all that, but I'm really curious of someone has specific requirements that can only be fulfilled with an AUv3 version of this app. I've seen a lot of apps that have AUv3 support, but get very little use, and also a lot of of them that are used in AUv3 hosts, but the way they are used is very limited and doesn't really take advantage of what it offers. If I were a developer, and I was going to put a lot of time and effort into converting my app, I'd want to make sure it was something that would not only be financially practical, but actually be utilized and appreciated beyond just checking a box on the feature list.

Of course, yes. Apart from your concern, however, I expect they're all aware that IAA has been deprecated by Apple for many years already, and will at some point be outright broken or not supported at all on new versions of IOS. If they want to sell plugins at all at some point, they're going to need to be AUv3.

  • The motives of IOS developers are difficult to forecast… but when they announce a roadmap plan you can be sure of one thing: we will make a thread for the “promised” feature(s).
