It is Elements of course. And don't tell anyone but I spent about 5 minutes putting the Massive code into the Izotope software manager app thingy. I went as far going to the Izotope support form and got halfway down the form then gently deflected my hand across my forehead whilst gently murmuring "you idiot".

Has anyone here closely watched Cherry Audio’s sale/discount history? Particularly the Voltage Modular system?
I have returned to the desktop game after years away and I have no experience with them as a company.
Do they typically run aggressive deals for Black Friday, Boxing Day etc?
One of the things I am looking at right now is “Voltage 2.5” on a reseller site called Audiodeluxe.

It is priced at $50 (apparently down from$99). This pricing suggests its the same as “Core” which is only available on Cherry’s site in a bundle with drum machine modules at $99.

I don’t particularly want the drum machine (at an extra cost anyway) and would gladly purchase this “2.5” version at $50 at Audiodeluxe if it is the same as Core but without the drums.
Otoh, if Cherry Audio are just going to run a Black Friday sale and Core+Drums will come down close to $50 anyway, I might as well wait and get the drums free. I just don’t know if the Audiodeluxe version will still be around then.

I am not sure what goals you have, but I would consider VCV Rack as well. The stand-alone version is free and has a large user library. There are quite a few modules by hardware companies like Befaco, Instruo, and Nonlinearcuits and good implementations of the Mutable modules. There is a paid “Pro” version that let’s you use it as a plug-in in a DAW and several devs with paid modules. I don’t have anything against Cherry Audio and have a large set of modules (including the drums), but my own opinion is that VCV Rack sounds better. I think Softube Modular sounds even more realistic, but it is pricey. I like the fact that their synthesizers and some other plugins include modules as well that are basically pieces from the synths (filter, envelopes, oscillators, etc.). Yeah, I am sort of a modular nerd.
Yes, I have the free VCV (amazing), will probably get the plugin version eventually, use MiRack, especially now that Live runs AUv3, and actually recently bought a small set of Softube modules during their recent sale. I was particularly lured in by the Buchla modules. This is what kicked off a bit of an acute obsession with software modular synths.
Mostly what keeps me looking back at Cherry are the vintage emulations such as the ARP 2500/2600 and the Moog modular and others being in one interchangeable system - and the number of poly modules including the poly Juno (although VCV has poly stuff as well). Setting up poly patches in Softube is a little tiresome.

-Just discovered VCV Host, which hosts and can modulate VSTs (!)
-I just discovered Toybox modules for Reaktor 6 which work with the player without having to own a full Reaktor license.

Yes, the top tier has the most modules in a configuration they call “Core” but also bundles the drum modules and charges $99. The one down is called “Ignite” - fewer modules, no drums, half the price ($50).
On the reseller site (Audiodeluxe.com) they are selling a collection simply named “Voltage 2.5” for $50 which is not offered (as such) on Cherry’s site. It’s offered as a sale price. The confusing part is “Ignite” is also offered by the reseller at the same price.
So it would appear that at some point Cherry offered a configuration called “2.5” but now call it “Core” and bundle it with Drums which drives up the price - and now a different or older price point is available on this other website. I don’t know Audiodeluxe but something is either off, or it’s an unusual package at a handy price point.
What I’m wondering is if the “Core +Drums” is likely to come down on Cherry’s own site to around $50 during holiday pricing or if this deal on Audiodeluxe is worth considering.
You might want to check to see if the version being sold on the Audiodeluxe site is the most recent version (or check with Cherry Audio to make sure the deal is legit). I'll just assume the deal is real (until proven otherwise) and might be a "loss leader" for that site.

Stupid question, but here we go anyway. There’s no advantage to grabbing this if you own SynthMaster 1 and 2? Are the presets different and transferable?
Personally, I've made the decision to not give this developer any more of my business since a number of longstanding software issues were never fixed and I'm not convinced they're even interested in fixing them at this point. I now avoid using both Synthmaster synths I bought for both desktop and iOS. I can't trust the software to be stable and not crash my projects.
2 has everything the player has in terms of sound/presets. Player has a fun built in keyboard with chord functionality and otherwise a general simplicity, but otherwise it doesn't offer anything 2 doesn't have, I think.
