Absolutely. An analog groovebox reduced to the bare minimum. I’m sold.
Me too 😎
Me too until I saw this thread.
Announcement number 8🙂. The Model 15 semi-modular synthesizer is based on the legacy “Model 15/35/55” circuitry but with some added features.
The product is fully completed and ready for production. Once we’ll receive the chips, this synth will be on the way to you.
Price is US$ 299.
What’s under the hood?
Analog Semi-Modular Synthesizer with Dual VCOs, VCF, Sequencer and Arpeggiator in Eurorack Format
Well, this one might be the better deal anyway:

Forget about chips for cars, they can wait.
Okay, I admit this is a somewhat attractive idea.
Not sure why it's called model 15 though, not really a model 15 at all. Looks easy to use though.
Actually, just figured it out. It's a clone of Moog's grandmother. Note the colors.
I loved my Monotribe but you can hardly find them under $250-$300 now. Will definitely be getting at least this one.
Micro-Minimoog!

Oh man
Sounds like a Picomoog. Only one oscillator... Enough for bass, but I'm more intrigued by the Taurus and Monotribe units.
When those chips come in Behringer is going to bankrupt me.
I'm thinking most of these things are a year or so out, at least.
Two digitally-controlled oscillators instead of one voltage-controlled (per the Monotribe). I wonder why?
Interesting to hear how that envelope knob works in practice.
Will these have built-in speakers, like the Volcas? (Yes, I know the Volca speakers were small, even puny. But they were fun to play with at lunch.)
Agreed - even then you will probably miss out on the first batch unless you can arrange an early notification of when they go on pre-order.
Has anyone heard or seen any of these yet?
I notice that the new Roland Compacts are available in the USA. They aren’t due in the UK here for several weeks yet. Are they around anywhere else?
Behringer like to annonce things more than they like to lauch things.
Indeed.
God damn teases
Behringer products that still not on sale, many months later (and I forgot a couple more)
They said when they released these they couldn’t get chips and these would not be available until that time so it shouldn’t be any surprise they are not out yet.
Isla just got chips for the S2400 that they ordered over 2 years ago. They weren’t sure they would be making any more S2400’s before this unexpected delivery.
Times have changed…
That’s JIT thinking, that’s come undone.
@Montreal_Music : ha! You have pretty much identified all 5 of the things I a) want, and b) will only believe when I can hold them in my hands. Ok, the world chip situation is out of their hands, but I wonder really what the point is in ramping up hype for gear which is essentially vapourware? Post a couple of pictures of any classic, reworked, promise the moon for peanuts, and then… what?
The last thing I bought from Behringer was the Eurorack 2600 VCO, and that took about nine months from order to delivery, so, yeah… Not holding my breath.
I’d say Behringer has delivered quite a few synth’s since starting with the Deepmind, so I don’t think it’s just hype and after only recently started selling synth’s.
Let’s hope so. My point though, is - what is the point of announcing new gear at such a rate of knots now, when there is no realistic prospect of it arriving until two, three, four years hence? Cre8Audio announced the East Beast and West Pest a few weeks ago, they are available to order here in the UK, and my understanding is that at least a few actual units are already in the hands of some people in the US and Europe - they are real products, not wishes.
Everyone, just about hypes products, some I believe even limit stock to increase that hype, but I think the supply chain systems is really messed up, even causing a cascading effect, which in turn will cause an economic effect, none of it good. Synth’s are just a small but close to our hearts part of the system.
How is it that some companies can get the chips but others can’t? It’s not like the whole world of hardware synths etc has ceased production.
Some chips are in short supply, others not, plus supply lines are fractured so ordering isn’t as straightforward as it once was; might take weeks out months where it used to take hours or days to get what you needed…
