Early thought, the compressor on the master is quite invasive. For example, try the "808 long kick" sample in a pattern with a persistent hihat part. It ducks to the point of almost sounding like a muting feature. Alter the compressor level and the sample becomes a mess.

I started it with "loosing". Maybe they were making fun of me?

Totally agree. I aim to make my own base template with programs I often turn to and resetting the compressor entirely is going to be a part of it. I actually think there is some mojo in that compressor which can sound quite good but the initial setting is an odd default. Too hyped.
Beta testers? We are the beta testers
Btw i just load iMPC with my samples like 1.2 jigowatts i mean gigabytes, anyone know if is possible to erase the default samples?
The synthetic drums 1 and 2, drumcodes kits and mutekki samples are better than the originals
I'm trying to use iFunbox to move the iMPC samples over to iMPC Pro, but I can't seem to find the samples. Can someone tell me were they are stored?
Despite the obvious short comings, I'm really enjoying the sounds that came pre-loaded, more so than the ones in BM2.

I like this app, its good fun and the workflow is fast. But wtf is up with that insane ammount of user folders?
For my first try i made this track with me rapping..

Cool!! I dont understand the lyrics but is great and catchy
So, is the dog licking the hooker or...
Never mind.

Thanks for this info. However, according to that thread, I should see folders named "Samples" and "Devine" inside iMPC_app. I see no such folders and still cannot find the samples. Does it matter that my iPad is not jailbroken?
Does ist support multiple outputs on an external soundcard btw?
@doromi said:
I don't think you need to be jailbroken. Are you using iFunBox on a desktop?

The process is explained in a subsequent post in that thread.
Thanks, the lyrics is in danish, its basicly about hooking up with a prostitute and licking p*ssy like a dog.
Cheers

Samples ripped, apps deleted. End of the story.
I take it you're talking about both iMPCs?
@telecharge said:
Yep, reloaded the old one to take off the samples. I know bm2 inside out and as somebody else here said: there's no point in learning yet another app to do the same thing you can do with ones you already own.
Edit: dumped all the samples into bm2 and will delete the weaker ones within the program (something of course you can't do with impc 'pro')

I'm using iFunbox version 1.5 on a MacBook Pro. I can find the iMPC Pro samples without issue. The original iMPC samples are a different story. The link you sent talks about clicking on a tab in iFunbox. Maybe this is in the PC version? From what I see, the Mac version has no tabs. I think I've checked just about every folder by now.
Does anyone know why some samples have a click at the end, i just upload some samples to iMPC Pro in my computer are ok but in the iMPC have this clcik at the end.
@doromi just follow the same path as with impc pro. User applications - impc.app - samples
Edit: the only difference you'll find is that impc pro ones are divided into folders. I'm running v1.5 too

What do you mean? Audible click or a different extension? Mine are wavs and play back fine
@telecharge and @supadom
Thank you both. I don't know what was going on earlier, but I have found the samples! Now time to free up some space by deleting iMPC.
@supadom said:
Are wavs and is an audible click some samples are playing ok, but most of the native instruments synthetics drums vol. 1 and 2, when i played on iMPC the click at the end of the sample is there but if i look the waveform there is nothing but you can hear it.
Report it to Retronyms and see what they say: [email protected]

Thanx i will
I think I might reinstall BM2 and really give it a crack at learning.. Or maybe I will just give up on ios beat making and go back to Geist and reason7. So much disappointed with ios apps, I was really hoping this one would be usuable for me.
The 2 biggest issues:
1. My iPad 3 is choking when recording patterns, I get a delayed latency when hitting the pads. It even happens when using the note repeat.. Unacceptable for me as I don't use step editing, I prefer to record live.
2. The wacky values on pitch adjustment, I would rather the sample editing from the real Mpc's were you can adjust by semitones. The pitch -64/64 value is so frustrating to me. Why isn't it -24 semi / 24 semi like every other MPC??
Word. It's goofy.
I solve my problem 24 bit bad 16 bit good now i need a software for change a lot of files from 24 to 16 any idea? A need a batch converter
@Aphex said:
I use Pazera for batch conversion. Freeware too.

I don't think there is an app that does batch.

@supadom JP from Retronym say me that on iMPC Pro you can delete samples and folders with iTunes too..
Plus he say me that I can export as separate track but at now I don't see this option, anyone have try it??
