@Jose_Bee - there is, in fact, sample audition prior to assigning to a pad. You have to touch the little waveform next to the sample you want in the list to hear it then, of course, tap & hold then drag to pad to assign.

Oh, I bet I know why you don't see it. It is posted under my real name, Sean Ercanbrack! Check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/retronyms/posts/10152333129299081?comment_id=10152334473834081&reply_comment_id=10152334524899081&offset=0&total_comments=14¬if_t=share_reply

I've posted links to this thread, along with links from the iOS Musicians group on Facebook about this on the Retronyms Facebook page. :-)
@AudioJunkie Thanks. I just checked them out. Appreciate you doing that.
I love it has the ability to trigger sequences from the song page in iMPC Pro via Cubasis midi.
Your real name isn't Audiojunkie???
@funjunkie27 said:
You two are not actually related IRL??
Yep...the Junkie brothers. Dad's name is Fishing and Mom's is Shopping.
I like very much to load an IAA synth inside sampler page (now MitoSynth for scratch) on ch10 and play it from iMPC sequence and record :-)

Hahaha, sorry to dissapoint! :-)

Surprising, isn't it? :-)
cooool well hopefully the midi sync problem can be fixed in a update or something
Really, Really cool news!!!!!!
Retronyms Sean Ercanbrack I see — this is interesting feedback. We're definitely going to continue to improve our inter-app audio support across the board.

Retronyms Sean Ercanbrack the syncing behavior that you describe is supposed to be the way things work at any rate. I've opened a bug for this, and I'll let you know when we address it.

Hey, I tweeted Retronyms and asked them to come take a look thru pages 10 to 13 of this thread. Gave me a nice reply. Maybe they can give some midi and app connectivity help.
With the iMPC app I was able to control the drum pad with my Akai LPD 8 with a mapping however with the iMPC Pro the mapping for the IMPC does not work.
Has anyone else tested this as yet.

Thank you for doing this. I am (very purposefully) Facebook ignorant. I clicked the link, and I don't really see your post - just a bunch of random crap like I see every time I go to a Facebook page. I'll "like" it if you can tell me how to find your post.

Oooh, oooh, I want to do that! Just crawled the last 4 pages of thread - did someone work our CC numbers for those pads - I can't see?
What notes are you using .. or how does that work?
edit - maybe I've misunderstood - I'm imagining different notes moving between the sequences?
@skoptic Its the same Cubasis midi notes that trigger the pads in the main screen tab of iMPC Pro, that trigger the pads in the song tab (these are the pads that trigger the 4bar sequences)........
I think you have to have the relevant tab selected in iMPC Pro for it to work (ie: to trigger the visible pads) ......but work it does ....and with the bpm matched to Cubasis it means midi sync is not needed !
I'm starting to fall in love with this app.......just need the chop to pads fixing.......it's all over the place at the moment......hopefully a quick fix is in the works.

Just out of curiosity, what was their reply? :-)

Cubasis Notes
G#4 is start / stop toggle (which mean muting or some other strategy needed in cubasis so loop doesn't stop it)
BUT... B4 is only start (and you can retrigger) and A4 is only stop. So you can (if you're loop points match) use B4 to trigger and keep retriggering each loop to keep in time better - then move outside loop in Cubasis to a region with a A4 note to stop.
That's easier for what I'm doing at the moment
@Audiojunkie 'retronyms: OK we'll take a look. Can you point us to where in this 13 page thread you want us to take a look? '
Nice

Sweeeeeeet - thanks. I was still in midi chan 1 sending controller data rather than note data

I'm using 2 midi tracks........midi channel 10 to trigger the pads and midi channel 1 to trigger start/stop....these in tandem with a bit of patience and exploration work a treat.
Just to add that you have to make sure when you add a note in Cubasis to trigger a pad for the next sequence it needs to trigger before the start of the sequence as if you add the note on the start of the next sequence it does not work.
I add the note on the beat before the start of the next bar as it tells the iMPC app to get ready to play the next sequence at the next bar. A bit like triggering a clip in Ableton live.
Yup - same here on the 2 midi tracks- I just had a bunch in there running diagnostics and was on the wrong one - they are now nicely named .
The only thing annoying me was timing drifting, even on same tempo it wandered - but the B4 retrigger note just sorted that
@jmsexton thanx that was too obvious!
@Jose_Bee
Nearly finished a beat on it and got to grip with it really quickly. So far I'm scoring it 6/10 because theres a few areas that's bugging me (I would score BM2 8/10): - Clicking at the end of samples although they play fine when not in a program - Turntable sampler is laggy and difficult to use - No audition of samples before assigning to pads - No loop audition when chopping or trimming
For audition touch the little wave icon on the left side of the samples!
use only 16 bit samples to solve your clicking problem.
Laid back beat...
@Fako79 The clicking at the end of samples is likely due to them being 24-bit. You can thank @Aphex for figuring that out if that's the case.
And welcome. Nice to see all the new folks here lately.
EDIT: Also, this
