@tarasis
Agree with this very much. Funny how things that to the user 'seems so obvious and simple' aren't implemented and on such a well polished app one can only presume the developers sat around, considered, and then voted it down....would love to get some feedback. They certainly don't have to justify it, just to know that it was considered and, for their own reasons, a) rejected or b) put on the 'yeah, yeah, we're going to do this' list...

Always been dodgy....I will search some earlier posts.....if I remember rightly....I had to attempt it 3 times to open it before the update (before last) that resolved it.
Crap, now I'm getting the error message in Cubasis whether I open Alchemy first or not.

Yeah it seemed to work okay. Not sure about always though.
Edit:
This seems to work: open Cubasis, then Alchemy, then connect IAA.
I noticed the CPU in Cubasis spike really high when opening some IAA apps including Alchemy, others hardly at all. Maybe this has something to do with it?
Not trying to pile on or anything, but has anyone else noticed their battery drains faster when using Alchemy?

Are you on iPad Air? Lately, post the iOS 7.1 release, I've noticed my Airs battery just plummets when using CPU intensive stuff. Drops like a rock. In contrast to the larger iPad siblings 2-4. I know iOS throttles down the iPad Airs CPU after a few minutes to disperse heat etc, but the battery still plummets. Doesn't answer the question perhaps, I just had to get that minor frustration of me chest
Is there any way to consolidate patches to save space in Alchemy? Like copying favorites to a user bank and then deleting the unwanted samples/banks/presets? Or if I'm not interested in the drum machines, can I delete those somehow, etc?

No, not using an iPad with Alchemy.

This method appears to be a solid way to connect. After I closed both Cubasis and Alchemy, put the device in sleep mode, then opened them both again later on (in the same order mentioned) the IAA connection was still on with the Alchemy icon still showing in Cubasis and everything.
Of course, I probably just jinxed it by saying all this.
I'm having problems with alchemy freezing in IAA with iMPC pro, frustrating, I'd really like to sample a bunch of alchemy stuff.
Sorry some people are having trouble with IAA. We're looking into it, particularly with Cubasis - I've just managed to recreate the problem once now too using Cubasis on an iPad 4, although it happens very infrequently.
We consider all features and requests but it's probably worth pointing out that there's quite a lot of design/implementation factors involved beyond just deciding whether or not it'd be useful, so if we're not implementing something straight away it's certainly not just because the idea has been dismissed!
Regarding an indication of which library a preset comes from, we're considering this for a future update. It's been requested a few times and I agree it'd certainly be useful - especially as we release more libraries.
I tried loading my desktop bundle via iFunBox and got nothing. I found instructions on Camel's FAQ to upload through iTunes. I was able to unzip it in alchemy mobile on my ipad but I don't see them anywhere. I have pro, I know that matters.
Any tips, or suggestions @ChrisG, @Cinebient, or anyone else?
Put the *.camelsound file(s) in Alchemys iTunes file sharing folder. In Alchemy, in the preset menu, choose "add custom sounds", you should see the *.camelsound file(s) in there. Just tap on them to make alchemy import the bank.
Thanks @ChrisG I did that. I saw my file in the "add custom sounds" section. I then "unzipped"/"loaded"/"imported" but I don't see the presets
@TGiG said:
Usually there are two files needed. One containing the presets, and one the samples (both are .camelsound files). If you only import the one with the sample material, it won't show up. On the camelaudio site, under your account where you have all the products/libraries that you've purchased, download both the presets .camelsound package and the samples .camelsound package for whatever library you've bought/wanna import into alchemy mobile.
Other then that, I don't know what else to do, except take a look inside the camelsound file with any program that can read rar files (the camelsound files are just packed files), make sure there is a "preset" folder inside, and a sample folder if the lib uses samples. Shot the camel guys a mail, they're very responsive dudes!
@TGiG Are you unzipping the sound banks on your iPad rather than your computer? That could be causing the problem. Try unzipping them on your computer. Or just download them again unzipped from your online Camel Audio account.
There should be both a sample and presets file for each sound bank. For example, the Iceland sound bank consists of "Alchemy-Iceland-Presets.CamelSounds" and "Alchemy-Iceland-Samples-1.00.CamelSounds."
The instructions that @ChrisG listed earlier have consistently worked for me.
Thank you @ ChrisG and @DavidEnglish I was only loading the presets without the samples.
I knew it had to be a user error!
Thanks again

+1 Andy and Ollie are top notch. Even though they've been busier than usual with the current sale, they still found time to visit us.
In alchemy there is always a high-frequency periodic noise that is heard distinctly in simple sounds without effects. the noise is always present and changes to vary the buffer length.To get it just create a new preset without effect and with a simple sampling (simple loop organ or guitar). I tested the software with iPad Air and iPad 3. the cause stems from an erroneous buffer management by programmers
^ I tried with a few different samples and couldn't hear that.
Has anyone picked up the Dream Voices pack, how is it?
@zymos the periodical noise is evident with Headphones. Set to 0 effect e modulation in a new preset with simple template like " Basic key " and sample one of factory organ.
Picked up Dream Voices, here's a first impression:
