Zenbeat 3.1.8.9399 on Win 11 Pro 23H2: double tapping on any clip in Clip View does not open the respective editor (as it does on my iPad) - in Timeline View I need to use the grid symbol to open the editor. Seems like a bug to me. At least it‘s super annoying…

It seems like Zenbeats does not detect a double click when there is no Surface cover or mouse attached. Double clicking on the touchscreen that is.
As soon as I attach any mouse device everything works as expected.

I was able to solve the problem… It was the magnet on my Folio case. When closing it with ZB still running, the sound cuts out after a few moments (even with system audio muted and Lock Screen disabled). When I’d open it up again, ZB would freak with the audio issue. I think the intermittent issue was also caused by the folio case opened and flipped back, must have triggered it accidentally.
Tested this with Apple Music and it does not cut out. Drambo will cut out but generally resumes just fine.
Ditched the case for now, but I do like having a Folio style for on the go.
FYI: Background audio is enabled and Siri is always disabled

Is it possible to import/export clips to and from Roland hardware, I have the mc101 and Verselab. I can exchange between them, would love to exchange clips with zenbeats.
Is there any way to add tags to user imported samples in order to make use of the tagging system within Zenbeats‘ file browser?
And not for nothin but with CB3 crushing the competition, can we expect a nice update soon hopefully? I still love your MIDI learn and your circular loop recording ; best creative workflow style (vs just linear). Merry Christmas.

Double clicking now works as expected.
This is the tricky part of developing a software that is to work the same on different platforms.
Zenbeats is very much alive and kicking! I am really looking forward to 2025, and my guess is that Roland and @MatthewAtZenbeats has something nice on the stove cooking for us😎.

I have t heard any noise from Zenbeats in a while . I doubt it’s being abandoned . I have a feeling Zenbeats 4 is coming soon. If not a major ZB3 update

The ability to save songs to OneDrive dissappeared today on Windows 11, Android phone and Ipad.
Seems to a problem in Version 3.1.9.9420.
On a Windows 11 computer which still has Version 3.1.8.9399 I can still save songs to /load songs from OneDrive (and Google Drive).
Direct Saving and Opening from Google Drive is no longer supported.

To be added @Telstar5, I believe all of us, in different ways, have submitted the absolute majority of the feedback that has been mentioned in this forum regarding Roland Zenbeats to the developer. @MatthewAtZenbeats has also on numerous occasions confirmed he has taken our feedback into account for future updates.
As I have written before, it is worth remembering that it is not an easy task to develop software that is supposed to work the same on four different platforms, at the same time governed by corporate decisions. To each their own, but I do believe in Roland Zenbeats which I use as my main DAW without issues. What we have seen with NS2 (a great DAW and it’s sad to see it become iOS history) is exactly the reason I decided to jump on the Zenbeats train. A well- known company in it for the long run.
Roland has a clear digital strategy, and Zenbeats is an integral part of that strategy. At what level is of course up to Roland to decide and I believe the main focus has been on desktop with Roland Cloud and Galaxias the last two years or so. It would be a monumental task to battle for a total win over the DAWs that are market leaders today. I think instead Roland wants to have a digital market leading ”domain”, a cake so to speak, where each piece is part of the puzzle. One of the pieces is Zenbeats on desktop and mobile, another is being able to use the different pieces of the cake inside external software like a market leading DAW and for example Galaxias as an AU/VST. Or vice- versa, use external stuff inside the ”domain”.
I am confident, Roland don’t take major shifts in strategy easily. I am also confident there is stuff happening behind the scenes, I really do trust in Roland here. Get on the train people and try Zenbeats out, the future with it is looking bright IMO.

@DMfan @MatthewAtZenbeats well said . My only issue with Zenbeats is the timeline audio editing functions. Needs a complete overhaul
Editing audio , selecting multiple audio track regions and duplicating etc. The audio editing toolbox does not have many functions. (x2) for instance does not apply to multiple selected audio tracks

That is correct. We no longer will be support saving directly to Google Drive since they have changed their connection methods. We replaced this functionanlity with better song import and export features that allow you to share to Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud, etc via the native Share functions built into the OS. This means when saving a backup to Google (or cloud provider of choice) the target app and OS will handle the syncing and you can close Zenbeats during the upload process. While you can still sign into Google Drive (after geting past some nasty warnings from Google) and OneDrive, I would recommend using the new sharing features instead.
** There was a server glitch with OneDrive but it should work fine for now.
AUV3 sizing seems worse than ever. Several apps I tried were small, lots of blank space surrounding, unreadable and missing important sections, because they could not display full screen. Tried messing with
display in window and percentage, but no better. I could send screenshots if that helps....

Hi there, regarding the auv3 window size issue inside Zenbeats. I have a big bug with Koala sampler, when u load it the first time, the window is fairly big, not as inside Aum for exemple where u can resize to the max but decent to scroll and edit the samples but close it to do other stuff inside Zenbeats and bring it back and the koala window size has downsize a lot , impossible to change anything inside the plug-in size option of the auv3 and it s a pain to edit something in this conditions. Sad because I like the Zeanbeat/ koala combo.
Hope they ll do something about that in a next update.

Be able to re order the effect signal chain like dragging over and the chain will move and adapt automatically . Like in Cubasis.
The 90 Mfx of Zc1 available as separate fx for any channel inside Zenbeats.
A proper slice mode icon tool when u re editing a loop or sample inside the timeline. Right now u have to drag the left or right corner length of the sample to mimic a slicer. It s very long. A knife ll be way simpler. ( I know u have a slice mode inside the sampler) but when u working with long sample, it’s better to do it inside the timeline window and slice from there.
Will be cool to have a consolidate option , when u working inside timeline and did some chop and cut from a sample, u end up with some blank spot from the editing so if u want to duplicate what u came up with, the only quick way is bounce or do the duplicate for each pieces of sound who stay on the timeline. A consolidate icon after a select all action will be faster for the duplicate action.

Hi there, is it possible to record the midi of an auv3 plugin when u play directly the notes on the interface of the plugin and not with the keyboard of Zenbeats. Do I need to enable something ? Like opening Koala and play the koala pads instead of the Zenbeats pad mode .
