4. Dreadbox Typhon
5. Korg NTS-2 NuTekt

  • OP-1 Field, someday, someway. Lol. I can figure out how to record the finished output from that directly into AUM and polish things up further from there.

  • Moog One
OS 1.1 for the Polyend Play
OP-1 Field, unless they come out with an OP-Z Field which I would prefer.

Otherwise feeling pretty lucky that I have the tools I need, it's the inspiration at the moment I'm lacking :)

I felt that in my soul, lol. Same here. 😅

You went for broke: Moog One!
This one is on my Dream List 😂

    1. Moog One
    2. Yamaha CS80
    3. Sequential Prophet Rev 2
    4. Oberheim OB-X8
    5. Waldorf Iridium
    6. Make Noise Shared System: Black and Gold, Plus

    Great choice!

Thanks mate. Although when I got that insurance money, it was either the OP-1 Field, or a shiny M1 iPad Pro. I chose the latter, but sometimes I still dream about owning the Field. Imagine "committing to tape" the interesting digital bleeps and bloops the Field can make, recording that into AUM, and processing that through DAW Cassette. Or sampling from radio and mucking with sounds in the way that Stockhausen used to do, albeit all digital. Something like "Gesang der Jünglinge" for example.

  • Countless euro modules, a dfam, rev2, I’ll probably get another td3 cos I miss mine, and I could really use a bass guitar again. The eurorack stuff will probably perpetually sink my budget though.

  • I have a large wish list as so much nice stuff about but some at the top are

    Softpop 2
    Hydrasynth
    Bastl pizza module
    WMD c4rbn module
    Noise engineering BIA module
    Elektron analog 4
    Soma roat
    Oto boum

  • Uno Synth Pro, at the moment IK Multimedia have an offer where you get 3 software titles for the same retail price as the hardware.

  • GAS Equilibrium at the moment. Unable to buy hardware for a bit so the pause has allowed to explore what I have more. Been slowing learning Max for Live and focusing on modular experiments with VCV/miRack and Drambo.

Wishlist stuff for future, but I don't have a great desire like I used to in the past.

    1. Lyra 8. - because I love the idea of something as instinctive and expressive (and random!) as Mononoke that you can actually touch:

    1. Eowave Quadrantid Swarm. Because of this:

    and this:

    1. Make Noise Strega. How could I resist hardware literally called ‘witch’, and makes noises like this:

    1. Bitwig (I have Ableton, but the whole ‘modulate everything with everything’ and tight linkage to modular hardware makes it look like something I would have fun with.)

    2. West Pest

(More pragmatically : probably looking at some additional Intellijel cases.)

I’d also love a Plinky V2, but firstly, they have announced that due to the chip shortage, it’ll be at least 2023 before they can resume production, and secondly, I’d need someone to build it for me.

  • Add the portable nerdseq tracker and the korg drum machine they teased to my list when chip shortages end

my GAS list is short, i'm modest guy

    Exactly in this order:

    1. Octatrack mk2
    2. Syntakt
    3. Analog Rhythm mk1
    4. 1010 Blue Box to mix all that shit above + my Digitone,Digitakt and A4 together
    5. Analog Heat mk2 to finalize master output :)

    9. Waldorf Blofield - this is probably my next purchase because I always enjoyed the PPG Wave plugin!

Had 2 Blofelds in past .. cool synth but suffers on very poor quality encoders + bugs in firmware (for example arpeggiator midi sync issues and other, even got whole synth frozen one time)

If you like architecture consider second hand Micro Q - it's almost same, very similar architecture to Blofeld, and surprisingly even a bit better (more warm) sound .. had also Micro Q and still regret i sold it, it's banger.

  • A new brain that is not stuck in 1-8 bar loops...

  • Chase Bliss Gen Loss MK II (in pre Order - coming March 2023)
And I gas a cool drum thing. Right now it’s the Elektron Analog Rytm MKII

So much to dream about haha

  • I was planning to add an MPC One to the little hardware collection I've built up over the last few years. The current economic state in the UK has put paid to that for a while, but it's still on the list...

    MPC One
    OP-Z
    Minilogue XD
    Microfreak
    Hydrasynth Explorer
A few of those forthcoming mini Behringers maybe?

(Those polysynths would probably be either ors)

  • Effusive GAS just for myself is Eurorack modules:

LA67 T-Zed VCO which I’m just about to buy, I want a 3rd VCO and this is a little different to the 2 Doepfer A-110 I already have with the PM functionality, has an LFO range switch so it will displace an A-147.

Erica Synths Black 3109 VCF/VCA to get 101-ish sounds I hope as I sold the 101 I had years ago. Which will definitely mean having even more too many filters :D

Then I intend to focus on utilities needed for the most expressive patches played by EWI.

Monitors are in the shopping list, the missus is most keen on Genelecs, significantly due to their focus on environmental impact. I wonder about Kali IN. We will have to demo…

A small mixer, probably a Mackie 1202, then my over-large and under-used Yamaha O1v can be sold off and maybe a second Mackie purchased to develop our 2-station studio concept.

OB6 - we both want but budget will hold this off I’d assume.

Producing live Ambient in AUM is the cure for that. 🙃 If you want tips and tricks, hit me up in private messages.

Great list! Have you seen the secondhand Plinky prices??? 😂 I’ve seen as much as $1400

    Lmaooooooo I concur!
I’ve been personally challenging myself to create 16 bar loops 😂

I took the leap from 4 to 8 bars buy going double-speed

Since I'm a chip-tune addict it was an easy jump as most chip-tunes are 150BPM but usually sound 'half-speed' and 75BPM 'clicks' with me. So the actual 'length' of the loops has not changed much it's just more stuff on the time-line :sunglasses:

So instead of squeezing in 32nd notes like I did before I can use use 16th notes and keep things 'bigger' making it easier on the eyes...

    MPC One

The current economic state is strange because, at least for gear: chip shortage has made stuff hard to find and expensive to buy. I strangely bought most of my stuff at the beginning of COVID feeling like hardware would be the new “in” thing again!

I’m with you on monitors! I need to upgrade, I’m using basically high end multimedia speakers 😂

  • I think I would like something like a Music Easel; self-contained, including a bare-bones sequencer, relatively small and easy to get lost in. I couldn't justify spending $3,000 on it though.

You enter disk mode and load the 4 Op-1 tracks inside Aum

  • Harley Benton Fusion lll HSH Roasted Maple neck Flamed Bengal Burst. And honestly the Telecaster version of the same thing.
