We are all used to any new iOS product on the store app that is an intro price saying it’s an intro price and for how long so I really appreciate that you took what we shared into consideration. I’ll def sign up though for future updates . Loving this app and very appreciative that you are in the forum in communication with us.

I have reported the issue below to Modalics, but I wonder if anyone can reproduce this:
I have noticed what I think is a bug when using the menus, whether the preset menu, or Randomisation menu or Drum Kit menu.
This is 100% reproducible. The second long press always shuts the whole menu rather than opening the submenu.
IPad Pro 2017, iOS 16.4.1, Standalone version of app.

Maybe because that’s not how the menus work - as I mentioned in my vid.
This is how they work. Let’s take the presets menu. Tap the menu, the submenus like ‘artist’ etc appear. Now long press on one of these and slide your finger to the right to choose the exact preset you want. When you RELEASE your finger, it will be chosen. A bit different from what we’re generally used to, but that’s how it is 🤷♂️
Yup I get all that, and have been doing that.
It would be a more intuitive user experience if a tap either:
“That’s how it is” could apply to many “features” whose operation we’ve queried on this forum to be honest and it seems reasonable to at least bring it up.
If this is how the dev intends it to work that’s fine, will just roll with that, but it is quite an unusual method of interaction, so worthy querying i think. It wont spoil my enjoyment of this great app either way 😬

This is just a limitation of how menus work in the cross platform framework we're using.
It's not something I really love TBH, so it's likely that at some point we'll replace those menus with better ones we'll write and design from scratch that have better touch experience.
Oh don't get me wrong, I totally agree that I don't like the preset system much. What is it with apps and preset systems. They often seem to be the weakest link in one way or the other!

Sorry if you have already considered this, but one way to achieve it is by simply having two Beat Scholars running on AUM, each one with a different time signature. It works pretty well. I know it is not what you were asking for, but I mentioned this just in case you (or other people) have not considered this workaround in order to have polymeters using this app

Yes - I think I might actually have published a short video demoing this a few days ago somewhere. It’s definitely a doable workaround, though not ideal, but yes, it’s possible and it’s very cool! You can maybe just have a system where you give presets a name followed by a number 1 / 2 / 3 etc to remind yourself it is part of a polymetric multi-app preset, cheers!

Something is not quite right here with me. Even after the update, I can't do a trial. But at least I can buy the app - which I have now done. And even then the nagscreen did not disappear, only after restart and "Restore purchase". Now it seems to run, hope it stays like this ;-)
I bought Beat Scholar but it keeps popping up the payment page. I click to buy and Apple says you already bought this app would you like to download it for free.

One of the reasons I don’t like Iap buys for licenses and just like buying the app itself (like animoog seems like the same App Store issue I was referring to hotstrange)

I'm not sure why that happens yet, but I will investigate.
It's possible that reinstalling the app/restarting the machine would solve it but I'm still unsure what the issue is - possible some corrupt caches if you've used the trial on the same machine, or something.
Hello, this happened to me two days in a row. I always shutdown my iPad at night. I did do the re install. I clicked on the trial at first but did not wanna to sign up. So I bought it instead.

Also had a lot of nightmares with this. In my case, a restart yesterday seemed to fix it but I'll have to see how it behaves today
It's definitely extremely strange to see that 'restore purchases' isn't immediately (or within a few seconds) validating the license, and I can't reproduce it on my device with my own user or sandbox users, etc, so its very confusing.
Hopefully I will be able to gather more bits of information about this soon.

What I did notice that this screenshot has the old/outdated price.
That hints that the last successful connection to the App Store wasn't made in the last couple of days.
I suspect deleting the app, then reinstalling (and maybe restarting?) should solve this issue.
My one had the new price but still ran into issues. Restart seems to have even enough to fix it tho
Right. The price itself isn't the bug, it just that connection to the App Store seems to have failed at a certain point, and I've observed that Apple sometimes 'block' store connections out of an app for a little while.
Because there was a price change, that's just some indication for me on when this might have happened without checking other specifics about the device or the behavior of the app.
