Absolutely and there are other credible people to vouch for his integrity, not to mention the avenues of enquiry that opens up in regards to his statements, as yet, too early to say, but intriguing none the less.

Yep, I totally believe he is relaying what he's been told. He admits he hasn't seen any physical craft evidence himself, so theoretically they could be setting him up for a fall, or they could be genuine. Based on evidence and reports over almost 100 years I'd say it's a strong possibility. But I certainly wouldn't dismiss the guy as a 'huckster', he has too much to lose.

Hearsay is not evidence. I’m sorry, but simply repeating what someone else has said is not good enough.

Again you are correct but if he names peoples, places events, these can be checked.

Apologies because I’ve not watched any associated videos… Has he? And have they?

Maybe you should watch the video before dismissing his claims out of hand?

But HAVE names, places, etc. been checked and independently verified? I take it the answer is "no".

Watch the video you’re dismissing without watching and find out.

People with firsthand info have been leaking stuff for decades, it’s all out there if you look hard enough. Bob Lazaar as just one example. But of course few people believe them, because their stories are far out there. And let’s be honest, there could be a 4K hd video of an alien exiting a craft and getting riddled with bullets, complete with a close up of the being breathing his last dying breath, and it wouldn’t make a difference. People would just say “wow great cgi you liar”. It’s so far out, nothing short of personal close encounters would convince most people. So at the end of the day, it’s a seek and ye shall find situation, a take from it what you will or leave it situation. Draw conclusions for your own self. If you’re waiting for the “authorities” to serve you up the truth on a silver platter, you’re going to be waiting for a very long time.

Ancestors are people from the past. Descendants are those who live or will live in the future.

Do try to keep up NeuM! They are ancesters who used the forth dimension to go to the future but came back here because they forgot their bus pass.

The forth dimension is not as good as The Fifth Dimension as it doesn't have Marilyn McCoo on vocals. You could say the Fifth Dimension was more "Versatile" (in joke).

I've never seen a volcano, except on film and photos. But I believe they exist. I don't need to see it in person.

If governments released info about UFOs and scientists were allowed to examine what has been found and publish their findings then I'd be happy with that proof.

If you’re waiting for the “authorities” to serve you up the truth on a silver platter, you’re going to be waiting for a very long time.

Yeah - I think you might be right about that. People telling UFO stories on YouTube doesn't cut it for me.

I'll be dead before any of this is explained with any credibility.

  • @db909 : “ People with firsthand info have been leaking stuff for decades, it’s all out there if you look hard enough”

People who CLAIM to have firsthand info.

There is a difference between claiming to have seen something and having seen it what you claim to have seen.

  • From reports there are other ‘whistleblowers’, who apparently will at least testify before Congress. Other rumours suggest a ‘DVD’ showing the aliens has already been shown to Congressional members in a secure location. Could be a very interesting time ahead.

True, lol, but saying ‘he’s not quite as bad as (insert the name of the president of your choice here, I don’t want to get flagged for going political, lol) is hardly a resounding character reference 😜

I told this one earlier in the thread, probably removed it, but relevant again:

This is the sort of thing I hoped someone these days with a good phone camera might be able to photograph, if it wasn't too far away.

True, but these convictions were after his disclosure not prior, just for context. But then again he’s one witness amongst many over the years.

This was 30 years ago, we were on the dole and didn’t even have a landline phone.

My personal theory on this one (each thing I’ve seen could have a different explanation): Earthlights.

    Cool.

Sadly, I've never seen anything that you could describe as a "UFO". Not sure if it would be a good thing or if it would drive me nuts trying to work out what it was.

It was on a faultline that runs through Wales, during a period of tremors, and this type of activity has been known to create gaseous balls of light (see also wil-o-the-wisp).

Still unnerving though, particularly the one that hovered right above us one night when we were walking down to the nearby phonebox.

I scanned the released MoD files to check if the UFO I witnessed in Sheffield 1989, had been reported, I couldn’t find anything, I didn’t report it, the other couple probably didn’t either. It was fairly close and unlike anything I’ve every seen. Due to family links to the RAF I’ve seen quite a lot of different military aircraft in the years preceding the incident and subsequently.

Apart from telling close friends and relatives, this thread was the first time I’ve reported it.

Possible or you may worry you already were nuts for seeing it, as well as others thinking you were nuts, but for me, it is, what it is, others can make of it whatever they want, I’m passed caring, life is too short and all that.

On reflection, and after reading a book by Paul Devereux we agreed the most obvious explanation would be Earthlights.

The comforting thing for me, for the weird stuff I’ve encountered over the years is that I’ve never been on my own when witnessing them. So for example the ‘orbs’ were seen by me and my ex, plus my mate, and another couple further down the track. I’ve also seen a number of ‘UFO’ reports relating to the forest online since.

The difficult, and disappointing bit is that when sharing what is possibly a unique, and special experience with others you face the inevitable ridicule. I can perfectly understand why pilots often keep quiet about their experiences, as it could potentially end their careers.

I think ridicule is the greatest hurdle for many, even today watching certain media sources reporting about the ‘whistleblower’, some still scoff and ridicule his statement, in an almost, I’d say childish way, but I don’t think children have that sense of ‘closed mind’ in a lot of young children anyway. Hopefully these matters will be treated with a little more respect going forward, even if that means entertaining possible fraudulent claims. Every case should be treated uniquely and evaluated from the given the evidence.
