  • So... if the US government says that there are aliens is that a good thing for the world or very bad news for humans?

    Should we be worried?

If it all turns out to be true (indications really do look like it’s the real deal this time) then the US Government have 2 options. they can deny it and continue with there slow drip drip of information to slowly acclimate civilians to the reality of non human intelligence or they can take this opportunity to simply remove the band aid.

Either way, at some point, we are going to have to face the reality that there are non-human intelligence interacting with us. For some that will be a very scary thought.

I mean it’s an existential crisis. I’m guessing that knowing us, rather than bringing us together it will drive us further apart. The frankly mind blowing possibility of them being intraterrestrial would be even worse imo. Imagine if you were told there’s a biosphere you can’t perceive existing in the same space as yourself! On the other hand maybe if they are from here they will stop us from royally fucking the planet

A perfect reason for governments to want to keep knowledge of their existence well away from the public. There are a number of reports of UFO/UAP’s following military planes and warships, hovering over bases and messing with nuclear weaponry systems.

All that money invested in arms, oil, gas, nasty chemicals….they can’t risk a more advanced, grown-up race turning up and pointing out how bloody stupid we are.

  • I like this theory I saw on Reddit

“ Maybe this sounds crazy and I should take my tin foil hat off, but based off these two clips imagine this:

The US government knows it is convincingly losing in a reverse ET engineering race against another foreign superpower. Therefore, they knowingly leak this information via a whistleblower to attempt to level the playing field of ET tech reverse engineering. The US would accomplish this by encouraging more collaboration with its western allies while at the same time attempting to set international ethical standards for advanced technology and ET R&D, which would serve as a hindrance to potential foreign adversaries.”

I wish this did more for me than make me think even more solidly that it’s in the U.S. military’s interest to have is all think they have super cool shit from another world so don’t mess with the best etc etc… the big powers traditionally lined themselves up with gods or other supernatural inexplicable phenomena, the weather, the seasons before that, and UAP disinformation is simply the equivalent in the ‘age of reason’/ scientific era…

    Very good point.

(Don’t get me wrong, I’d love all this to be true but I don’t feel like our first contact stuff will be anything like this scenario, though I keep an open mind…)

My problem is that you go under the oceans on Earth and you get all these weird and wonderful creatures.

Yet, some these aliens from way, way away seem to be very human: standing upright, 5 or 6 foot tall, 2 arms, 2 legs, head with 2 eyes etc..

And they travel in these metal craft that are a bit like something an Earthman might design and make. Metal machines that fly in the air like aeroplanes (how primative).

It is all a bit too much like a sci-fi book or movie.

I would expect real aliens to be totally different to us: maybe made of gas, or radio waves, maybe tiny in size, or huge in size.

But I am open to whatever is delivered with some actual evidence. Evidence that can be properly examined.

The description of the humanoid type form is quite an efficient form of evolution, it’s far from unique here on earth, why would you not expect it to be available to other worlds amongst the uncountable many.

The typical description of alien ‘greys’ do vary from a typical human, usually hairless, large eyes, small or virtually no nose or ears, fewer digits on hands, no apparent sexual organs, overall appearance is physically small with an often oversized head in respect to a typical human. They have appeared in modern culture but only recently.

Other alien form’s possibly exist, but could be so far removed from our and maybe their comprehension you could be encapsulated by it and both would be non the wiser of each other.

I haven’t been to an exo-planet but I’ve seen blurry pictures, but even before that proof I would have been astonished ‘beyond belief’ had they not existed, although that’s a negative so impossible to prove.

  • Now that’s spooky

  • Meeting aliens? Technologically much more sophisticated than us? I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about. I mean, think how well it turned out for the Australian Aborigines, and the Native Americans. Oh, wait…

That’s because those aliens were humans, ignorant and arrogant ones, who knew it all.

Apparently it’s going to hit the NYT this weekend. They are taking a slow approach and gathering a lot of sources.
    Massive if true.

Looks like a diversion trotted out for reasons I’ll leave others to speculate on.

I'd be extremely skeptical, not worried.

Why would you be sceptical. There is no way the US Government would state that there are non-human intelligence without proof.

In fairness, this has been happening for decades. So the aliens are probably long gone. Frightened away by humanity's enormous intelligence, no doubt.

Just remember folks, if governments start to say “yeah extraterrestrial beings are here”, we MUST demand to see the beings. Because until they can produce the beings themselves it’s nothing more than spooks flying around top secret tech trying to push some agenda as far as I’m concerned

Rest assured, nothing like that exists. At best, the only life we’ll ever come into contact with from another planet will be a bacteria or no more sophisticated than moss on a rock.

Well you may be right but it seems we’re getting close to a point where authorities may try to convince us otherwise and therefore my point remains. Anybody screams “alien/non human intelligent beings” , you scream “show me the bodies bitch”. Because as exciting as it is to see this topic discussed openly, I’m very skeptical of the end game here.

I was watching the US videos of UFOs but I can't tell how big these things are meant to be. Are they the size of a bird, a car, a plane, an ocean liner? Anyone know?

I'd be delighted to be proven wrong, but I'm quite confident that I'm not in this matter. No irrefutable evidence has managed to surface supporting the theories and stories since... what, the 1940's-1950's? And no organization with real people in them has managed to keep a tight lid on ANYTHING forever. People leak information all the time. Turns out people also lie... a lot. But still no aliens.

Yeah - even the most secret thing in the world at the time (the atomic bomb) had details leaked to the USSR pretty quickly.

A government murder plot might involve 3 or 4 people and you could keep a lid on that.

But a program of recovering UFOs would involve a huge number of people - the more people the more a chance of a leak.

Surley someone involved would try to make a quick buck by selling the story to the papers...

Ha! That’s pretty cool. It looks like a real photo IMO. It’s simply a trash can on the ground, and in front of it, a big stain on the pavers, giving the illusion of a shadow. The photographer framed the subject well.

A lot of people denied the Earth was in fact round, until they had seen evidence with their own eyes. In fact, many still refuse to believe it.

  • Ha... Yeah, it's just a puddle / stain on the pavement.
